But Botts somehow gets a free pass for this year with the " he has no cap flexibility so he could not improve the roster"..all the while he is the one that forced them into no cap flexibility. There is no place in rule book that says “ red can make decisions based on common sense. there is no place in the rule book that says NY can get involved in a non reviewable play. if they can, where was the delay of game call on 3rd and 18? Why involved in one non reviewable play but okay on the other?

We will disagree on this one. What he did previously does not matter , and if the refs start interpreting intent instead of actions, that is whacked.

I don’t. I just thinks it’s freaking dangerous territory when NY gets involved in a non reviewable play and “ interprets intention”. rules are rules, procedures are procedures, and neither were followed on this play.

Kinda to early, but looking forward this offseason to see how the Bills approach free agency. I think it will be much like this year , mid to lower tier guys, not big contracts to anyone. the real interesting piece will see how they approach Tre , Dion and the safeties.

Are you saying the “ safe” signal is now accepted by the refs as you are giving your self up? i don’t believe anyone in here is saying Bills lost because of this call or there is some grand conspiracy, but “ common sense” is not part of the rule book. under the rules this was a missed call, intent means nothing.

What’s funny is I agree I think the Bills ate in for regression as well, and yet will still be better positioned to win the division. put another way, say we go 9-7 , but two of the wins are against the Pats, who also face the same schedule the Bills do.

What I can’t understand is why in this day and age can one of the responsible refs just not wear a buzzer of some sorts that goes off when the clock hits zero? I mean how easy is that, and ensures they keep eyes on play and not clock.
