looks like @Steptide has some good answers @Talley56..but my first reaction to this is always depends where you live! Second reaction is always to call your local extension office as they know the local climate and fauna etc better than anyone! And its free, and they aint selling you anything! https://www.usda.gov/topics/rural/cooperative-research-and-extension-services

Family Dog (Pit Bull) Kills 26-Day-Old Baby
plenzmd1 replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Nice post, ans as an owner of dogs since 7 years old, i am mindful of all my dogs behaviors , pit or no pit. 90% of pit owners are "responsible" as you say, but its the 10% that have them for status or other reasons that tend to cause all the problems. I know my bit as well as i have ever known any of my dogs...and i did have a lab mix that surprised me once by nipping at a kid..shocked the hell out of me, so it happens with all dogs I must say cockers and Brittney spaniels give me the willies..dont like those dogs at all.. all been so freaking inbred they all seem batchit crazy -

Sure, if we can do the same thing with kids!!!! Seriously, i don't know how to control this. Go to any animal rescue ( in an urban area especially) and the majority of dogs have pit in them. I dont know how you stop owners from leaving these dogs on chains outside or training the dog to be aggresive... And like i said, i dont dispute the numbers above, but it is because these dogs are overwhelmingly the breed that is trained and abused, it is not the breed. In the 60's and 70's, those number most likely were flipped as Rots and Dobies were trained that way. -

My 110lb lab-chow mix gets pissed at someone, he gunna set off on a disfiguring or deadly attack....can happen with any breed. Now, i do agree Pits are the most abused and most trained dogs to be aggressive due to several factors, no doubt about that. But i do not believe it is the breed itself. Growling at someone as a one off can be somewhat natural..but if it was a consistent behavior dog gots to go! My In Laws had a batchit crazy cocker and when my daughter was born and we stayed at their house, i insisted dog stayed in the garage entire time we there(outside of potty breaks). Now that dog scared the poop out of me. -

I would say that about all dogs. -
i kinda felt that way till he showed up @Hammered a Lot for the Pats game. Played flip cup at out tailgate for 20 minutes, was personable and friendly to everyone he met, and just had a great time at the lot. I was just making a lame joke! Having said that, i bought the T shirt below after the tragedy of the Muslim shootings in New Zealand , and the package was sitting on the table when my daughter and a bunch of her college aged friends were around one evening. All were instantly impressed I had purchased some Barstool gear...gained me some college cred!?

Not the breed so much as the socialization and the environment the dog was raised. Plenty of "nice" breed dogs that are aggresive as hell if they have been abused by humans and previous owners. Best seafood spot in Atlantic City, NJ ?

Cool, had some great nights..and some rough nights in that town late 80's-mid 90s when it was the only gambling option on the East Coast. More than a couple Sunday mornings had to drive around the Delaware Memorial Bridge and down 301 through the Eastern Shore to get back to DC as did not have the $5 needed for the tolls! -

First, relax! Second, the key is the bolded above. This GM has beenin his job for 3 freaking years, not 1...so lets say you are correct and the talent level is so deficient that this team finishes in the bottom 6 again...why do you give that a guy a pass? Cause he has cap issues this year THAT HE CREATED!!!!!!!!! Whats he got, two contracts left from GMTM And yes i think you are being conned...what young players are helping this team at forward and especially at 2C next year? How about 3 C? Cause all they got now organizationally is a 1C, a couple 4C, and a 17 year old that most likely needs another year unless they want to do to him what they did to Mitts. What has Botteril done to bolster the depth of this organization? What has givenyou one iota of evidence this guy knows what he is doing when it comes to building a roster and building an organization. Cause he says be patient and we are going to build trough the draft? This roster is HIS (outside Bogo and Okposo), and yet you somehow want to ascribe it to Murray, and you want to continue to force people to pay good money to sit this dreck year after year cause Botteril talks a good game, and accomplishes nothing. It is time this team has some GD standards and expectations, and continually forcing sub par talent levels on the most loyal fan base in the sport is ridiculous and disrespectful.

Want to see a real attack dog? Talk poop on my pitty mix. -
Don’t overthink it. Fryem up, toss in a bowl that contains some sauce and all done.

Eating wings at 5:00PM after starting drinking at 8 am is the key to great wings.

VCU pounds Richmond ? Richmond the small(2k students) private liberal arts school that costs $65k a year. Preppy, suburban, privalidged. VCU public school, 31k students, 19k a year in state, urban, tough. both great schools , just completely different. -

Battle of Richmond tonight. Richmond-VCU. Sure most know, but these schools about 4 miles apart. And ya can’t get any different types of schools, always makes for a fun game. DTV 221- CBS Sports Network. 7 pm ( sucks I could not make it tonight) -
He had the money for a 5 star restaurant when he got here, then decided a bunch of fast food pigouts was more advantages...the cap mess is 100% his doing. Only guys on this team with cap numbers and term that he inherited are Risto and Okposo...he has re- singed or traded for every other single player Huh? Past week was their bye no? BTW, cant wait to see the old axiom come out tonight"took them a while to get their legs, and by that time was to late" and "hey . after all Ottawa had the benefit of playing last night and the Sabres have been off for while, what can ya expect?"...as an explanation of why they lose to a bottom feeding tam with like 4 road wins
