Damn, it’s like they can’t learn from all their previous mistakes in opening these places. Does Anchor Bar offer no assistance or guidance? Do they not share lessons learned with their franchisees? These guys must get all excited about opening weekend receipts, only to see it crumble in a few months. just like in Richmond, these reviews will be at the top of yelp for the next year! Dummies! @Chef Jim, best tell your pal about all these mistakes these guys are making in the opening.

Airbnb and hotels are insane now. Think someone upthread mentioned to wait a while..and that's what I would do. I booked our airbnb as soon the first leak came out on schedule day...and man did they get crazy within 30 minutes of that. Once people realize flights to green bay ain't cheap, and tickets ain't gunna be cheap cause its Bills fans..think some of those airbnb's and hotels will start to see some good size cancellations. I think between flights, tickets and hotels you would be looking at least $1200 per person for this.. BTW, we are going in out of Milwaukee to..Brewars game Friday night..will PM info so you can buy me a beer at the park!!!!!

I have sent all the folks I know at OBD the suggestion they do this in pregame, and not halftime for a couple of reasons 1) 3/4 of the stadium empties out at halftime for beers and bathroom..always feel bad for these guys when they do their speech and no one is there. 2) It will suck if people are surly cause the Pats are whooping on the Bills 3) The current players and coaches always miss these things cause they are at halftime..screw that, let these guys see how we love are great players, that maybe will inspire them! Football is the only sport that does this stuff at halftime..its dumb. I know they have a hard start at 1:05, trust me people will get in 20 minutes early for this. Couple years back when Kelly spoke at the Maimi opener, almost everyone got in early to hear him talk, and the place was way more filled than it would have been at halftime. Yep , some idiots complained about not getting in on time to hear him, but that was only the knuckleheads that could not leave a tailgate till 12:30 and then expect to be in their seat at 12.50 BTW, I have also complained for years us creatins in the upper deck cannot hear a word that is said from a field level ceremony..they need to fix that somehow.

We went to St Lucia last year..lovely island. If you need transport to or from hotel to airport, or need a driver to tool you around and do the sights, we used an excellent service ..Marc's Taxi. Way cheaper than anything arranged through the hotel, and much better. A family run operation, just a couple of guys that are native and know the island inside and out. Here is my review in tripadvisor. His contact info is in there. Just let him know when your dinner reservations are, what restaurant..and he will be sure to get you there on time. He was about 1/2 the cost of the cars the hotel would have booked for same trip.

listen, I don't want to get in an argument with you, but if he wants to get a car, get a car. Bzillions places to park it in downtown. Go to the Falls by driving, or take an Uber. The Falls is just as close from downtown as it is from the Amherst UB campus, maybe even closer. Getting to the stadium is a world easier from downtown than from Amherst UB campus. The man stated he wanted to come over and have wings and few pops.. the last thing you want to do after drinking more than one or two is get behind the wheel...especially when it's on the wrong side!!! So I would hope he is going to Uber no matter where he stays once he goes out and has a few.. Knowing the Drink drive laws in the UK are so much tougher than the US, I am going to assume he was going to do that anyway. Really no debate if you are coming from out of town for a "Buffalo" weekend where the better experience is to be had, and it ain't in some suburb that is exactly the same as every other suburb in America. If you want to come to Buffalo to experience Buffalo, only one place to do it..in Buffalo. End of rant?

HA!!!my favorite website!!!!. That's actually where the recipe came from, but I read the comments first and made some modifications. Look up sous vide smoked chuck roast on there. So many people I guess take the salt and pepper amounts as gospel, I always just salt and pepper as I see fit. I also did not reseason after the water bath. He has it at 155, i did 134. He also adds a dollop of liquid smoke to the bag if you were going to finish in the oven. Last thing was he smoked at 275-300, I was maintaining 230-240. BTW, I do think that getting that sucker completely cool is really key to the recipe..as is making sure you slice against the grain. One last thing, i opened the bag and drained the juices when I took out of the bath, then put the roast in fridge overnight. But i wonder if keeping it wet would have attracted more of the smoke ...hmm. Like golf, Q is never perfect!!!!

I do not know if I have EVER seen worse advice on here..and I am being serious. Uber is your friend in Buffalo! Absolutely stay downtown!! Gabriels Gate is on point, can stay and drink in Allentown, or go one of million places in downtown to have fum. In terms of going to the game, I will most likely be going to that game and either staying downtown or on Grand Island. Either way I will drive right through downtown to the stadium. No worries on picking you up if you want to join us at Hammers for the TBD tailgate and ketchup ceremony. @BritBill Feel free to PM , just hit my member name and then hit the message tab. Can help with hotel suggestions etc if needed as well.
