  1. I don't know what thread you guys are referring to, but frequency should also be taken into account, and on that matter, the risks are much higher for texting drivers because that's a much more frequent phenomenon on the roads these days.
  2. The business model needs a shakeout. We're biased because we like watching sports, but we're subsidized by 90% of cable viewers who could care less about ESPN, but still pay the equivalent of $7/mo. for ESPN to be carried in the basic cable/satellite package. Do the math on how much ESPN would cost on a monthly basis if there was no subsidy.
  3. For people who missed the discussions over the last year - NFL no longer uses paper tickets. You can't even print the Ticketmaster ticket and bring it to the stadium. If you are buying a paper ticket, it's a counterfeit.
  4. It was when Cardillo posted his tweet (coinciding with the strike time.
  5. Technically, he is.
  6. Hah, the ending was the best part for this asswipe.
  7. Amazing how loud the place was after Brown's TD!
  8. Blowing up 7 was the coverup, because the gold was in 4 & 5.
  9. Decent interview with Patricia Traina. Most of the podcast centered on her take on the Giants (which I thought was better and deeper than Marino's analysis of Bills): Front Office moves - are they backfiring after the Cowboys debacle? Eli vs Jones and how offensive philosophy meshes with each QB - seems to be built more for Jones, but no rush to get him in OL rebuild and better QB protection. Can they hold up vs Bills DL? Real weakness in secondary. Young and injured. Cowboys really exploited the weaknesses (Hint, hint: Daboll) Pass rush didn't come through to help DBs Chance to win only if Shurmur utilizes Saquon & Engram more. Didn't utilize Engram's unique talents all over the field On the Bills side, Marino: Can Bills build off big comeback? - Will depend on team's buy in of McD's and Allen's leadership Strength of Bills O? - Depends on Daboll's formations & groupings. Allen's improvement as QB. Offensive drive consistency? - TOs were huge part of perceived offensive futility. Is a concern and hopefully something they address in practice Should Giants play Jones? - Expect lumps for rookie and let them develop. Preaches patience with QB Giants' biggest challenge for Bills? - Barkley (Duh) Bills' biggest challenge for Giants? - Edmunds to try neutralizing Barkley. Bills' safeties will be key in setting the field. John Brown not to be overlooked. FWIW, I find Marino a bit more homerist than some of the other podcasts who appear to be more objective.
  10. I thought it was a toaster?
  11. Then why are there threads and posts dedicated to DiMarco being Daboll’s Swiss Army knife? I fully understand what Daboll is trying to do with him, but DiMarco’s athletic ability truly limits his role. Jets more than happily gave up the easy 4 yard plays and were biding their time on play consuming drives waiting for a Josh Allen mistake. That worked perfectly in the first half. When Daboll changed up the offense to play to the strength of his players and created true mismatches, the Bills finally scored. Daboll doesn’t have a choice right now but to play DiMarco in that role. I fully expect his snaps to go down when Kroft is back and when the rookie TEs are no longer green.
  12. That’s what gets me about this debate, thinking that DiMarco is a useful gadget RB. It failed badly on Sunday and will fail more now that there’s tape.
  13. Pats* also dressed 1 TE for the game.
  14. Isn't Heinicke better than Webb?
  15. You meant to say it worked in 2002 when Gilbride had Centers, and didn't work in 2003 when he was gone.
  16. He is very limited offensively and opponents don't have to worry about him. It's not like he's the second coming of Larry Centers. I understand why Daboll trusts him right now. But it's not an accident that Bills had far more success when his role diminished in the 4th Q. We'll have to continue this discussion when Kroft returns or the rookie TEs let go of their training wheels. It would be criminal for them to roll 2 TEs at the expense of sitting one of the WRs. That's why they are Pats*. They put their best players in to win the matchups.
  17. I agree with that, but I believe that Pats* line up with 2 TE sets slightly more than they do with the FB. Pats* #2 TEs get 35%-40% of offensive snap counts and Develin gets about 30%. Last year they used C Patterson in the weird hybrid role. BTW, my hunch was correct about past weekend - DiMarco was in for 46% of the snaps. That's way too much given his limitations on offense.
  18. As has been discussed before, wonder if eventually Sweeney replaces DiMarco as the h-Back. Could happen when Kroft returns or when the rooks are more comfortable?
  19. Because nobody saw it on Sunday since it was so far out of the play. It was behind Allen and he didn't know what happened either. With benefit of more replays available on Monday is when the cheap shot became clear. The definition of a cheap shot is a dirty hit to an unsuspecting opponent. This was a textbook example.
  20. It was a valid rationale to add Gonzales to prop up Trentative
  21. I think it has something to do with how Chrome & Firefox interact with Twitter's cookies.
  22. I'm guessing that you are using Chrome. For some reason embedded tweets have been blocked on Chrome's desktop versions for the last week. Embedded tweets work fine on Chrome mobile or on other browsers. Haven't found a solution yet.
  23. Does she understand the difference between wishing an injury on a player and actually trying to inflict an injury to a player?
  24. Stop by the optometrist next time you are at the mall.
