  1. Now THAT'S a feature, baby! Goodbye forever, Rudy.
  2. so if he was a democrat it'd be better? give me one good argument that demonstrates that the democratic party has better ideals and is better for the country long term. i registered as a dem in 1988, and that hasn't changed. what has changed is i realized that theres an abundance of bad ideas and hypocrisy there. if the pat robertson types didn't ruin the right with their moralizing, i'd make the switch. Conservatism has common sense on its side.
  3. we might get lucky RE: fred taylor. he might not be healthy in two weeks. last i heard they're predicting he'll be 100% by week 3 or 4. We might see a lot of the rookie greg jones. is that his name? big kid, raw. re: the jags D, they do have two of the best tackles in the game in stroud and henderson...stroud gets better every season. but sure, they're suspect on the edges, and the rest of the D isn't going to scare anyone. there will be more outside runs than inside runs, put it that way. i'm glad we get them early instead of late. they get better in time. they're a team that needs time to gel. i don't think their coach is a bright bulb, and i fully expect mularky and clements to outcoach him.
  4. what? what pics? where?
  5. to some chicks, it's illegal. To others, it's 'just okay'. Few ask for it by name.
  6. yo, matty baby: what's your avatar pic from?
  7. that is GREAT news...wow. that's awesome...the bills don't have to panick now. They can bring in a guy like matthews or whoever, and keep zolman on the PS for the first 5 weeks of the season as an insurance policy.
  8. i bet it won't happen. i bet the cards want him. i even doubt the bills would want him. he's not exactly 'high effort'. takes plays off all the time, and generally doesn't care. if he was valuable, why would the eagles have let him go, and why would the jags have cut him when they have NO ONE at DE? the cards will overpay and get him.

  10. well, there were two deep plays intended for lee evans so far this preseason. the most recent was travis brown's first pass. lee had his man beat by about 5 yards, but the pass was underthrown by about 10 yards and it hit the turf. the other one was when mcgahee mis-tossed the pitch to bledsoe. lee evans was alone streaking down the field. No play. i too think he's gonna explode. here's to our injuries being over. *clink
  11. none of them are a breeze. But if i was a player on another team, i might think the bills were one of the 'breeze' teams by the way they've played in the preseason. 1st team offense: 14 possessions, no TDs. I expected more. You?
  12. So, count out Brown. Clayton and Salibury think we should bring in Jeff George because he's still in great shape, wants to play, and can sling it with the best of them. Interesting to hear all this...amazing how quickly things can turn... I feel pretty bad for Travis Brown, and after watching the injury about 33 times, I'm pissed that there was no call. He clearly went at the knees, which is a penalty. If Bledsoe is injured, kiss the season goodbye. We'd have to start Freddie SMith at QB.
  13. they're desperate for a receiver now that boerigter is out. guess who their starting #1 receiver is now, after all their injuries? dante hall. trade bobby shaw for their left guard, straight up. (won't happen)
  14. i noticed that too, i just didn't want to say so because i feel the softie still needs to "earn it". He made one mistake, where he was burned around the edge by the LDE, which prevented drew from stepping up...and he was sacked by the RDE, who blew up Sully. Ugly play, but I blame the coaches for it. I don't like pass plays when it's 3rd and 3 and you're in field goal range...unless they are stacked against the run, whcih they weren't. YOu know the D is gonna try to push you back out of FG range with a sack...so call a fuggin draw, pick up the first, and continue. Argh.
  15. i watched the 1st quarter. i saw dillion break two good runs, saw brady had time to go thru all his reads, etc. What I'm saying is, the pats are still a better team, particularly on offense. the 3rd preseason game is supposed to give you the best indication of the actual state of the first team. There's light scheming and game planning, to simulate the real game. I'm disappointed in every aspect, the playcalling, execution, OLine, you name it. I hate that you'll agree with me.
  16. yea, i've been wondering that. he beat his man tonight on a deep out but travis "IR" brown underthrew him by 10 yards and was picked off. Seems that every time Lee gets a play his way, someone else blows it.
  17. nah. mcgahee for the chiefs' backup OLine.
  18. man, the setup is definitely making you work. there has to be a more stable option...right? seems like it' s going down all the time lately, in one way or another.
  19. we'd be Sooo lucky to get gannon in our laps. but i don't think it'll happen. 1. the raiders know he has trade value. they won't just dump him for the scavangers to fight over. 2. gannon will have his choice of franchises, and he'll choose the 9ers, who have a similar problem at QB. Gannon will be a 9er.
  20. and i've been so optimistic all offseason. at QB, we're clearly d'oomed. now we have to bring in a discarded journeyman who won't know the playbook in time. Uh, Drew? Please stay healthy. (by the way, what's with making the word d'oomed appear as billsfanone? did i miss something?) at SS, I don't know about you, but I don't believe Coy Wire is starting material. He doesn't have the instincts. He'll be picked on. Milloy has never been injured. Until now. Bobby APril's unit shat the bed tonight. they were horrid. Wake up, everyone: McGahee looked like C.R.A.P. Slow to the holes, slow through the few he found, and generally tentative and unconvincing. Travis can't get healthy soon enough. I know Jonas was out, but the offensive line is STILL a major problem, and it's the one area where I believe Donahoe deserves the criticism he receives. I look at the Chiefs line and drool. They make Green look soooo good. I watched the first quarter of the Pats game. Brady had all day to throw. There were plays when there wasn't anyone withing 8 yards of him after *8* seconds of holding the ball and waiting for a receiver to get free. Their OLine made holes for Dillon against one of the best defenses in the league. In other words, we're still outclassed where it matters most-the lines. We're great at the skill positions, and schitty where it matters most. The lines the lines the lines. That was the most deflating preseason game I've seen in a while. Granted, it's preseason, but you can indeed tell a lot about a team by the performance of your first teamers. My expectations just fell back. Very disappointed.
  21. god, i hope deion comes back. he'll flop. i promise he'll flop. we play him. we'll hit him hard. some say deion is a hall of famer. i say no. he never tackled anybody. you have to do that if you're a defensive player who wants to retire in canton. fug you. deion is a kitty. knock him back into a CBS paycheck. Fuse vertibrae if you have to. Just hit that piece of schitt, won'tcha?
  22. what, no crotch shot? pffffft.
  23. maybe we should make an effort to find gilbride's email address. or perhaps better yet...Eli's. saving this thread might make an interesting attachment.
  24. scott...sorry if this has been asked...but i assume that the standings and survivor pool will be 'reset' when the regular season begins, and the existing standings don't count? otherwise...uh....
