Shane Matthews: did he show enough
nodnarb replied to Cash2Burn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
shane can't throw a deep ball, and his intermediate passes don't have much zip. in a nutshell, his ball is so different from drew's and JP's that he'd be a questionable 3rd. the receivers have too much to adjust to... but i'm still impressed by his performance. -
so far, i'm not impressed w/ mr. april. but it's preseason. i'll say no more. not impressed with freddie smith. could have tied or won the game if he holds onto a simple pass. drops at the key moment in a game.... impressed by some of our OLinemen. Shaud Williams played the best today. Thought Matthews did a great job considering, etc. 'sit

jeezus H. wasn't it you that was going on about this last preseason? the defense is fine, relax and try to enjoy the fuggin football game. Kroist. Guy gets a 12 yard gain and all of a sudden our D is unbearable. <voice id="lombardi"> What the hell is goin on out here?! </voice>

after watching the 1st quarter closely...
nodnarb replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yea, it's on local tv here in rochester. No, they didn't look sloppy, save for a few untimely penalties (two of which were completely bogus). Drew was sharp, the blocking was sharp, moulds was perfect, mcgahee was slow to the hole, the line didn't create giant gaping holes but their pass pro was solid. The game itself looks sloppy because it has been mind numbingly slow...with injuries to the lions and a ton of penalties on both teams. But as far as our first teamers go, no. not sloppy. Better for sure. Progress. Progress. -
they picked up the stunts and kept drew outa harm's way. L. Smith looks like a hidden gem, for sure. ANd our dancing bear looked pretty damn good to these eyes. progress.

He constantly gets players wrong. And not just wrong...WAAAY wrong. He said "That was Ben Sobieski in on that sack for the Bills" and he just attributed a defensive tackle made on Willis by Dom Raiola. He's the Lion's center. Listen, he'll make a dozen or so more. He's been doing it constantly, all preseason. He needs to find a different vocation. If you can't get the most fundamental aspect of your job right, week in and week out, try something else.

Sheesh...the bills have obliterated the Lion's starting secondary, and now Bobby Shaw is down with some kind of ailment. It looks like a morgue out there.

Any good restaurants in downtown Rochester ??
nodnarb replied to Marc in MontrÈal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Har! Yes, there's always that. If you want a great date place, try Dish, on Monroe Avenue. You will NOT be disappointed. food is top notch. A weebit pricey, but hey. Might help matters later in the evening. If that's not your bag, try Mamasans on Monroe if you like quality thai. -
strange indeed. the whole site is down. Stranger: you can't even get a look at a google cache of the site. It's like it was stripped from existence. neat.

REPUBLICAN OPENING LAST NIGHT RULED!

dude, check yourself. comments like that make one's soapbox collapse. You can't call out "fags" in the same sentence as calling out "racists". The point of conservatism is that you don't look at people merely as nodes of their race or sexual orientation. The homosexual community should, in turn, realize that they'd be more accepted if they didn't have stupid parades where their eccentricities are showcased merely for the sake of eccentricity and sexual expulsiveness. Not all arabs are bad. Just like not all white dudes from the midwest are bad, even though two of them blew up the Federal building in Oklahoma. If you wanna have the integrity to critique, you oughta be aware of these things. -

If this picture captures what you think represents good ideas, then you my friend are an ASS. But I agree with the first responder. Thank you for showing the world how bad the left gets. Yes, the right has its sad faction too... -

Antonio Brown and J. Peters released.
nodnarb replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i must admit, i'm disappointed that these two were cut. i'd like to see peters on the practice squad. in two years, he might be something special. now another team can put him on their practice squad...i wish they had waited until the final cuts, so that no one could pick him up unless they want to put him on the active roster. same with antonio. Both of these guys will be picked up. Brown didn't do much, but either did dante hall in his first *3* years. 4.15 speed is rare, and i'm surprised we didn't keep him. he'll find a team. -

either have i. CHeers. I think i stopped reading your post after the first para (mistake). didn't realize that you were coming from that angle. good to hear you're not going to vote for kerry just because you don't like bush. -
Oh yeah I forgot its cutdown day today
nodnarb replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
chuckle. yes. from what i hear, the guy has done less than nothing. maybe he deserves to be cut twice. -

i think it'll be Richardson, Lawrence Shafer, Mike Haddad, Drew Esposito, Jasen Myers, Jerel Dixon, Gerald Gildon, Jason Seals, Richard Graham, Mark Gildon, Jason -
i hope he does well...cuz if he stinks up the field, teams are going to start thinking of hitting drew a little harder next time...we'd have no one to field, and everyone knows it. but i'm gonna stick to the optimism thing. drew won't get hurt, and TB and JPL will be pupped, preserving the roster spots. If matthews shows something, they'll have a tough time choosing the cut: matthews or TBrown. It'll probably be Matthews. So somewhere around week 6, when both our guys come off the pup, what the hell will we tell Matthews? ' Thanks, Buh-bye? ' it's a real roster predicament, methinks.

Jim Kelly at Republican Convention?
nodnarb replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
holy crap, that's THE PERFECT example of the sophomoric "debate" cliches you hear from the left. "they aren't george bush" Great reason to vote for a president. That he's not someone else. Powerful stuff. "The like old people and the poor" Are you kidding me? are your brains REAA-heh-HEALLY that tiny? come ON, man... -
the first one isn't her. re: the second one... baby most certainly got back. (and i cannot lie. )
