Bills/Dolphins Bakay's Tale Of The Tape
nodnarb replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But where the hell is the link to this? espn certainly doesn't make bakay's page easy to find. i've always thought their navigation system blows, now it blows...harder. where where where? -
gotta wonder how he feels...his friends are bills, and knows knowbody there...gotta suck. he'll probably be even less motivated, and seem even more bummed out all the time. this probably won't translate into many pancake blocks.
-
if'n yr interested.... (open the video/audio module, click audio)
-
Golly. Wonder if they finished the game.
-
love it cuz he's good at it. hate it cuz he's our #1 corner. tie goes to hate it.

All good players that will either find a roster or be on someone's PS. Jason Gildon LB Oklahoma someone will sign him for the vet min. What stinks is that he counts 500K against our cap. Keith McKenzie DE Ball State disappointed with this. thought he was a good STer and solid RDE backup who could get pressure and make a difference out there. Ken Simonton RB Oregon State bummer, but he WAS outplayed by schaud williams...and simonton did nothing for us in regular duty last year. Jonathan Smith WR Georgia Tech a message to ball droppers, perhaps. He'll be on our PS for sure. Dominique Stevenson LB Tennessee This is the one that really gets me. This and Sully and TBrown on IR. I never saw anything special from ConRitz, but hey. I'm no scout. Dom was a great STer and had good chemistry with the LB corp. Strange release. Sully always seemed depressed to me. He's huge and has so much upside if he'd just wake up and get into the game like someone less talented like Ross Tucker...he could be really good. But no. I worry about the TBrown statements and their affect on the team...everyone expected him back, especially bledsoe...what's going on here, I wonder? I can't help but think that ConRitz will still end up on the PS, and we kept him temporarily, until we sign another player this week. Who knows....

NEVERMIND... I finally read the rules.
-
yea, i was gonna suggest to scott that he change that link. the link in the permalink area at the top of the stadium wall forum front page is correct...the one at the very top of the twobillsdrive.com page is incorrect.
-
how is this? I thought if a player went to camp, they couldn't be pupped... if this is possible, why wasn't TBrown pupped along with Losman to preseve 2 roster spots until week 6...or 8 or whatever http://www.patsfans.com/stories/display_st...p?story_id=2486

they know what to look for, and what they see, more than we do by an order of magnitude that requires more space for zeroes than this space will allow. that's why. that being said, i still can't fathom how ritzman made the team over stevenson, TBrown, or sully.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
i hope they're right about these players...i would have preferred they keep tBrown on board instead of IR, keep sully, and put ritzman and mcfarland on the PS. but what do i know
-
I'm not surprised by Gildon. He never showed a damn thing. I'm shocked that constantin ritzman made this team. They must really see something special in him, because an undrafted free agent DE making the team over Keith McKenzie (my surprise #1) is saying quite a lot. Ritzman is definitely the biggest shock to me. I'm also surprised that Dom Stevenson was waived. Teams are going to be fighting over him...he's a great special teamer and I thought a solid WLB backup. I hope an AFC East team doesn't pick him up, cuz he'll make their ST units and depth that much better. I'm also SHOCKED that Dorenbos is still on the team. And Simonton was cut...! Meanwhile, Congrats to Rashad Baker, Jabari Greer, Schaud Williams, and Constantin Ritzman. Wow. What a UFA haul. also surprised by sobieski and sullivan, altho...not so much. They never really seemed to stand out.

How many of TD's draft picks remain?
nodnarb replied to HurlyBurly51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
look around at other teams and their draft picks over the past 3 years. you'll see that the bills are in the top 10 in teams that have retained their picks, and for good reason. -
he's a mental midget. there's a reason he wasn't drafted. that being said, i was hoping he'd end up on our PS, where he can take a Loooonnngg time to learn Mularkey's system. The Giants are thin everywhere, and I wouldn't be surprised if they sign him to the active roster.

why can't Losman and Brown be put on PUP?
nodnarb replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
m'okay...must have missed all the prev. posts. so how about the possibility of an injury settlement with brown, and bringing him back in at week 5/6 or whenever he's truly ready? possible? -
this will save 2 roster spots, won't it? Can't a team carry 53 plus IR and PUP? certainly losman won't be ready by week 6...we could at least pup him, right? anyone....?

Time for opener talk - JAX O is Bad
nodnarb replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
stroud and henderson are studs. they tie up linemen as good as anyone. they're lacking at the end position, though. good secondary. mathis is a player. we'll probably test the middle but do more running around the edges with traps and sweeps. i don't buy that their offense is shaky...fred taylor hasn't been playing for them with a nagging injury that i hope continues to nag him for one more week. i think the bills'll win, 27-10 -
stupid, untrue post. wasteth not your time on this tripe, bills brethren...
-
because he's a one trick pony with a wind up arm who's not as fast as he used to be and his injuries take forever to heal. And oh yea..because WE TRIED THAT ALREADY and it didn't net us a playoff win.
-
when some players commit an interference penalty or block in the back, or *marginally* commit such a penalty, you'll see them hold out their arms, as if to say..."I didn't do anything...I didn't mean it". And THEN, based on THAT action, you see a ref throw a flag. I hope these coaches tell the younger players (who committed 95% of last night's penalties) to NOT invite eyes toward them. It's the dumbest thing they can do. As if the ref is going to NOT throw a flag because of that gesture. All it does is call attention to that player. It's ridiculous. Watch the tape, and you'll see three different guys do it. They all get called for a penalty, and the flag is thrown AFTER they make their "look at me, i'm an idiot who thinks this will clear me of any offense" gesture. I said this last year, and nobody responded...but watch the patriots. They hold and clutch and grab, but they NEVER, EVER do the "guilty arms" gesture. I guarantee you they've been coached not to. As a result, Refs don't notice as much, they get fewer calls, they win more games, and people like us think they're lucky and get all the calls.
