This is precisely what this team didn't need

By the way...wasn't there a server upgrade? The performance has been pretty bad... -
The games we should win. The games that come down to dropped passes and receiver fumbles. We had the game basically won when mcgahee made that first down with 2:20 left. HOlding, Chris Villarial. We continue to see bad things happen at the absolute worst possible time. I think I'm more disappointed right now than I was at any point last season, cuz I knew gw wasn't a good gameday coach, and my expectations were low. This better be a motivating loss for these guys, because the Jags offense ain't much. Yet they just beat us when it mattered most.

are the fish the worst offense in the NFL?
nodnarb replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
let's hope -
wow. that didn't take long. he'll suck too.
-
gotta love it. it'll be interesting to see if wanny buckles and starts AJ Feeley next week. He shouldn't. Anyone doubt we're going to sweep the fish this year? Not me. the fins are likely to finish 6-10 at best, which would give them high draft stock. But they gave up a 2nd and 3rd round picks, I believe. No wonder marino quit.

i don't hate wannstedt. in fact, i have a good deal of respect for the guy. i simply thought that pic was funny. i never "bash him". not his fault that his owner is clueless and his RB is a pothead. The remarks I see here about bledsoe come off as juvenile and obsessive. Just FYI

true RE: Brady and his 'bashers'. ludicrously blind. but hey foxboromike: why...o why must you continue to bash bledsoe at every turn? Did he hurt you THAT bad? It was old a long time ago...

(NEW TOPIC)Tom Brady---Good or Sucky
nodnarb replied to turd ferguson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
are you ten? brady is playing like the best qb in the league. he might even BE the best qb in the league. I'd take him over anybody. He's more than proven it. Wake up, kiddies. -
At least we can say this: The Bills have the best fan forum site. Exhibit A and B: You and HolleywoodDon, who spend more time here and post more than most Bills fans. Those Pats boards must be awfully dusty. And it you spend as much time there as here, then how on EARTH do you guys find the time in your lives? This isn't a knock or a trashing. I'm genuinely curious. Even though I think FMike is too critical of bledsoe and HDon is strangely obsessed with Donahoe, it IS pretty nice to have "other team" regulars who are civil.

i was skeptical of brady until last season. the way he played last night reminded me. there's no question that he's the most poised, calm, and ACCURATE QB in the league. His passes are RARELY off their mark. He RARELY makes a bad decision. His one INT last night was the fault of a wrong route. He is hardly an athelete yet he's as mobile as any QB. He moves and creates as good as anyone. He sees the field as good or better than anyone. That pass he made across the field to a forgotten and wide open receiver is a pass you'll never see Drew make. Not because he can't throw it, but he wouldn't see it. He wouldn't even think to look that far in the opposite direction. This isn't a knock on Drew as much as it is an elevation of Brady - I also doubt that Manning, McNair, or Pennington would have made that play. He has the best instincts of any qb playing today, no doubt. He has an uncanny knack for releasing the ball right when he absolutely has to. Bottom line: Brady plays as if the game is moving REALLY slow for him. It pains me to say so, but I think he's the most valuable QB in the league.

my prediction was pretty good, as it turns out.
-
I'll say this: I'm constantly amazed at how good Brady's protection is. They are the best schemed offense in the league. They know when to move the pocket, and where to move it. Brady has uncanny instincts and never really takes a hard shot. They are run blocking extremely well, when the rare occasion arises that Dillon has the ball. Branch looks like a fantasy sleeper...but then again, they "feature" different players in different games, which is why patriot receivers never get drafted high in any smart fantasy draft. What they do is smart football. Always keep the team guessing and doubting and wondering. I think Manning might just pull this one out, though. 17-13 at halftime, and yet if the Pats need a TD and there's only 30 seconds on the clock and Brady has them at their own 1-yard line, I wouldn't bet against them. They just seem to get it done, time and time again. As much as I can't stand the Pats, I have utmost respect for them. The Colts D is just okay, from the looks of it. This is a great game. Up for grabs at the half.

ICE, this is a stupid post and you know it. Come on man, let these guys do their jobs. First of all, Reed outplayed Evans in camp. Secondly, Mularkey and Clements know what's best for the team. Thirdly, the days of blindly naming #1/#2 at any position are over. It's all about specific team matchups. Haven't you noticed that the Pats never have the same lineup week in and week out? They'll line up Bethel Johnson as a "#2" one week, and Deion Branch the next. It makes it harder to prepare for them. This is how it's done. Fourthly, we run a lot of 3WR sets, and Lee Evans will see A LOT of time on the field. So "#2" or "#3" is irrelevant.

I got a new job!!! No pay but.....

i write for KFFL too. -
No, no no.... come on people...have we learned nothing from the Patriots? They've selected CK as the starter probably because they like him as a specific matchup against the Jag's RT better than RD. Don't be surprised to see RD get the "start" in other games, based on the matchup. This is what the Pats have done for the last 3 years. They always have rotating starters. They fuggin started Jarvis Green at DE in a playoff game last year simply because they knew he could do a few particular things against his matchup better than Warren, Hamilton, or McGuinest could. Rotating Dlinemen means that some games there will be different "starters" but both will play. Ryan Denney is not a bust. Erik Flowers was a bust. The two are miles apart. A bust is a guy who can't play at the pro level. Denney can play at the pro level. He is a very good run stopper, and sheds blocks well. He's getting better and better. He only has 3.5 sacks, which is why he's criticized. It's foolishness.

(OT) Genesis space probe crashes to Earth

that was no plane. ...oh... -
You'll listen for about 30 seconds before you close the app. The recording is so bad it's unpublishable. Drew's PC is too. Do they not CHECK these things before they put them online? that was a rhetorical question.

yes. it's real. it's a recognized sleep disorder. I was misdiagnosed with it as a kid. Turns out I had sleep paralysis...a similar disorder.

wow...maybe i should have had my glasses on when i saw the ticker.

what I saw is: Schobel signs extension through the 2005 season. Basically, we extened him 1 year. He probably figured it would give him more time to establish his value. We probably gave him a few million for next year. It'll be interesting to see the #s. Good move.

a lot more.

I meant to ask you...(sword in sheath)....what you thought about the patriots this year relative to last year. Better? Deeper? Or the contrary...? The pats somehow seem to hide all their injuries like no other team...what's going on with guys like colvin? Any other injuries, of the nagging or potentially problematic variety? And what does belichick eat for breakfast? Is that on wheat?
