  1. Dude I seriously think revolving doors are harder to navigate. I keep stubbing my heel!
  2. It in fact turns out that rocket science and getting the Bills to win games are both equally as difficult! NO KIDDING, how many more quarters before we start throwing to Evans more often? He touched the ball for the first time in the 4th quarter!!!?????
  3. No we used it. But we hads like 1:45 left and just let the clock run? Why? That was the place for the timeo out. It would have meant one more play. Mularkey equals GW!
  4. I say so. Sign him pronto (when available) Jets will probably franchise him, besides TD will sign the Villarial of DE's next year when we could have had Abraham :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Fans have to demand more! Pay top dollar for top talent!
  5. could care less if it ends up being the next Mike Williams! Im on record already on this: JP was the best 1st round QB taken last year!
  6. For a decade now, and really before that even. I have watched the Bills do the following: 1) Defense steps way up, offense does absolute ZIP they dont win a SB 2) Offense steps way up, defense does ZIP, they dont win a SB 3) Neither the QB, Front Office, or Head Coaches can manage to motivate this squad into doing what it takes to win games 4) And most annoyingly, the Bills do just enough to NOT get the #1 pick, have it be PERFECTLY clear that the HC needs to go pronto, Have it be PERFECTLY clear that the talent at position x,y, and/or z is not even frikkin close to being good enough 5) And without a doubt the most gaulling of all, NEVER EVER have ANYTHING work in your favor. Now, This is what I see from the Bills THIS year: 1) Mularkey basically equals Williams so far. 4 games and Im still not sure he realizes that Evans can win games for you. He catches the best of ALL the WR's and is the fastest Bill. Yet it took till the 4th quarter in this game to realize it and throw a single ball his way. 2) Mularkey equals Williams. Yet another head coach that the players dont respect because of ZERO Head Coach pedigree. Players on a losing team respond by not playing like winners. 3) In true Bills fashion we may end up with our WORST record ever and consequently the highest draft pick ever but it goes to another team in a pre-season trade. Just our frikkin luck...see #5 above. 4) The talent is there to win the SB. So talent is NOT the issue. 5) Again as is the case usually for the Bills because of #5 above, Drew will win just enough games to have us have some slim hope of playoffs and keep Losman OUT of the starting job. Losman wont get the reps he needs to be our future as soon as possible and we can look forward to losing even more games. What has to be done as fans: We must insist by relentlessly demanding the following at every opportunity we get be it e-mail, phone in, press conference, etc...: 1) and most importantly we need to stop acting like the Bills players and Coaches and making excuses for this team. #2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are all based on #1. 2) Demand that TD get over his ego and sign a HC that has a true winners attitude with a pedigree to match. YES EVEN IF IT MEANS TRADING DRAFT PICKS TO DO IT! 3) AFTER our winning minded HC is here announce that Losman is our starter. 4) Continue to trade from strength to add studs in weak positions 5) SIGN TOP NOTCH PLAYERS!!!!! Especially on the OL. 6) Do not EVER take for granted the benefit of adding star potential skill positions when you get the chance. 7) Do not EVER be afraid to bench ANYONE who isnt performing! 8) Do NOT EVER assume that ANY other team should be a model for this one! See #5 above. If it can go wrong for the Bills, it usually will. To be the best, we must be much better than everyone else at everything to finally be able to get out of our own way!
  7. Any post with Tom, read this and comply at once deserves SERIOUS PROPS! LOL.
  8. Alright, I now have calmed a bit to the point where I see its fruitless to expect much from the Bills this year. If I dont expect too much, and dont get it, Im not dissapointed. Anyway, enough about me. Personally, I feel pretty resolved in the fact that Mularkey aint gonna be the right head coach for this squad. Im permanently convinced that we need a tough HC with a winners pedigree. I believe that Parcells would have already benched Drew. I also believe that Parcells would have either brought in more talent on the o-line or he would have made damn sure that they could cut it. Today, I was remembering training camp and one of the first comments I heard from Mularkey was that family and home life was pretty damn important and that players should pay attention to it. I think it was more in the context of not being there till all hours of the night watching tape. Now, that just makies things so clear. This team has an attitude where they just go out and collect a cheque. The dont want to win, or do but wont bo what it takes. I just cant help but feel that Parcells would grab this team by the bootstraps and pull them into wins. He would teach them that failure is not an option, right now they act like failure is there backup strategy and that they just simply go to it whenever theres trouble. Ive said it many times, TD wont hire a guy with the pedigree of Parcells. He wont stand for being second guessed again a.l.a Cowher. So, we are stuck (at least with this GM) getting a guy who will learn on the job. Could that be Mularkey? Maybe. It may be too early to tell. Yesterday, I basted away with comments like, "fire Mularkey". I now know for a fact that it aint gonna happen period. He will be here for the rest of the year. He may be here for another few years. It may go the way the Bills typically go, and be yet another waste of several years. Or, it may turn out that Mularkey steps up to the plate. His press conference seemed to indicate that he was pretty damn pissed and was going to take action. Well, GW did the same thing and week after week we saw no real improvement. But, maybe Mularkey is different. He DOES have one thing that GW never had, he was a player! That fact will resonate in the minds of the players. They cant simply discard him as a guy who has never been in the trenches. They will listen at some level. I am worried that the diseased mentality of the Bills cuts too deep at this point to allow for a turn around by a coach. But, I have never been a player and I dont know that the coach doesnt have enough control to force them to straighten the heads out. I also, feel that the Bills seem to always walk the toughest possible path. They dont realize that they need to step up and play strong, tough-minded, head-screwed-on-straight football until its too late for the season. Anyways, I hear that Mularkey held double meetings today. That gives me some hope. It could just be that he sat everyone down, told them that from now on there will be punishment of some sort for stupid mistakes or gave them a chance to get it all out and spill out there minds to figure out where their heads are screwed up at this point. It could just be the defining moment for the Bills. Its not over by a long shot. But its gonna require a bigtime spark and a different team mentality to win the games. Hope springs eternal, and we will have to wait and see if the Bills have a true leader in Mularkey. I really hope so. But, the phrase "things going their way" and the Bills are simply at other ends of the earth for years now. I would LOVE to see this team step up and play quality ball for their coach, the fans, and themselves. I would love to see the Bills build a home-grown hero for a coach and stomp into the playoffs and someday the SB to get there first win. I would love that, I will always root for it and I guess Im willing to hang in there and keep hoping. I want to see a big comeback, what a story that would be! Id love for it to start this weekend against the Jests. Lets try hard to keep the faith. Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Absolutely agree, Im not going anywhere. I guess if im a fool for liking the Bills, I will always be a fool! The body of the team has tons of talent but they need a new head! Bledsoe must be put out to pasture. Losman has the right type of winners attitude. TD has to go so that we can get a GM who will go ahead and get a head coach who is a proven winner and who can change this teams mentality to that of a winning team.
  10. Your saying this because you know better. I am now, and always have been a Bills fan. But its been so damn painfull for so long that I seriously have had to start rooting elsewhere as well. I see nothing wrong for rooting for a NFC team as well as the Bills. Sorry, Im a football junky who needs to root for a franchise headed somewhere. Again, Ill always be a Bills fan, but I also have another team to watch. Get over it.
  11. Losman starts as soon as hes ready. He starts for good, no flip flop with Drew. We need to see Losman play to see if we need to go in a different direction as soon as possible. We get a new head coach. TD is a smart guy and simply has to realize that inexperience at Head Coach will nto work on this squad. Hopefully he sets aside his ego issues and brings in a HC with a pedigree. I just dont know whos out there though. Seifert? Jimmy Johnson? (I cant stand Jimmy). TD probably wont do what is needed and may have to go himself. Will Ralph do what it takes and can TD? I think there has to be someone who will advise old Ralph to go in a new GM direction. Whos good? Carmen Policy? Evans is a stud in the making. Play him much much more. We need to start McGee for a while. Probably will anyway because Vincent is hurt. Id like to see McGee become our starting CB and Vincent go to FS when healthy. Gotta get more o-lineman. Im now convinced. Dont know who we could grab in FA next year. Im not watching again until Losman starts. I see nothing worth watching. Im not angry anymore, just been realistic.
  12. Ive been happy to pick out the few positives for over a decade now. Im through with that. Maybe if we fans united and demanded BIG BIG moves to start over, we might get it. Keep making excuses and we just may be stuck with status quo!
  13. Sounds about right as far as starting over! The only thing i give 2 craps about at this point is watching our future QB start when healthy. What a frikkin waste of a decade! Drew sacked again! Well, one thing is good. At least we dont shoot ourselves in the foot OFF the field by actually winning a few and somehow convincing some stupid coach or GM that Drew has life left in him! We dont even get the #1 pick! Thank TD for the trade that kills our high pick! In a silver lining, yes im pulling at straws here, Losman will play THIS season instead of say Leinhart (assuming we end up with the #1 overall) putting us even further away from a playoff. I hate the trade right now, but I like everything about Losman so far and he will get valuable experience THIS year. Even this board sucks! 2 weeks 2 crashes! Losman has a fiery winners attitude, if he actually can play up to potential, we may be on the right track. Mularkey needs to go though, he couldnt do what we needed, motivate this team to act like winners! TD couldnt get over himself and hire a guy with credentials. Instead we suffer through crap like this! Just dont see any reason why I just dont walk away and find a new team at this point. We are many many more years away from the playoffs at this point. Ive already wasted the last decade on this disgusting mess we call the Bills, why not cut my losses and walk away?
