I would actually be ok with him as long as we had our potential "future franchise QB" on the roster at the same time. If we had Bradford, or almost any of the other FA options out there, I still hope we draft someone to develop behind them.

I like Ferguson as a late round flier, if he were available in the 5-7 range, but only as a second option. If we get another QB through the draft or FA, he might be a good developmental project.

I watched him play against UCLA this year and he definitely looked impressive in that game. I kept trying to figure out why he ws so far behind Rosen even though they both had great games that day. I think Ferguson will be a pro QB at some point but his game will need quite a bit of work before a team is willing to hand him the reigns.

I don't know how any Bills fan could cheer for the Patriots* to be honest with you. They could be playing against a team of convicted serial killers and I would still cheer for the other team. Anyone but the Patriots* will stand until this era is no more and probably beyond that.

I could see a new thread if you had some kind of new perspective to share, but for a question? To answer: I am sure it was because he and McDermott share some kind of similar philosophy about how the offense should be run and McD and Beane trust him to execute on that shared vision.

I get the sentiment, but I’m think it is good for an organization to show they are willing to let people advance their careers when opportunities arise. Talented personnel will be less likely to come here if they feel we are hesitant to allow them to advance their careers outside of the organization. It sucks to lose him but this may also help us recruit other front office talent in the future.
