OH WOW! I got NAILED with a puck today!
OGTEleven replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I play goal in my league and have been hit on and under the cup too many times. "Due to the idiot's 7 foot slapshot in warmups, there will be a 15 minute delay to today's game." They make our cups a little more high quality though. The worst is the throat. I got slashed over the throat 2 weeks ago and it was scary. I wear one of those big plastic hang down protectors and it still hurt. Some guys don't wear them. If I didn't, our league might be short one goalie now. -
For someone who is supposedly taking a kinder and gentler approach, this is a vulgar reference to be sure. And who is Dawn?

Happy Happy Birthday to R. Rich

Who's R. Rich and what is that avatar? Happy birthday bud. You only missed having the perfect birthday by 3 days. -
Michael Jackson fallen Ill

There appear to be two in his avatar. It must be an old picture. -
Just got a new one..... Big & Rich "Horse of a Fifferent Color". Yeah, it's a Country album, but it rocks. It will not disappoint. That's a promise.

I'm not really arguing to cut him but it seems he only wants to stay if he starts. Under those condtions he has to be cut. If he doesn't get his job as a starter he could/will be an expensive disruption. I like the guy and wish we could win with him. It won't happen. He is a bottleneck for our O. There are many things he simply cannot do. If he is a pouting backup (and expensive) he won't help either.

Jim, Hunter and Drew. ...and the ladies love it. (Well, my mom does anyway.)

2, 41, what's the difference? Thanks all. Who's R. Rich?

In one of your posts you appear to blame RJ for the Titans loss. What was the biggest #$%^ up of that particular game?

I am trying to keep it real. I watched a whole season of football and saw about 12 complete passes to the middle part of the field. I saw him panic in several situations and send the ball right to the other team (I realize that other qbs do this at times, but not with the frequency). Bledsoe has one strong point as a qb and that is a strong arm. He cannot get rid of the ball quickly enough to hit slants and similar quick hitting plays and an offense without those weapons becomes hindered. He is slow of foot. I have nothing against DB whatsoever and am not (yet) a fan of JPL. I honestly see no hope for the Bills winning deep in the playoffs with DB. It is too easy to design a defense against him. The point of the NFL is to win the SB. I can't see Drew doing that.
-
Yes. But only if I were a middle linebacker.
-
I'm not trying to be obnoxious, I'm really not. But how much worse can you get at reading defenses and decision making than DB?

I voted for Pochman because I felt sorry for him.

Gay Marriage one step closer in NYS
OGTEleven replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I am far from being a pawn of the world media. I have backed you up on your views vis a vis belief in God. (I do not believe this is at odds with evolution and think many evolutionists drink kool aid). On this topic I cannot begin to count the ways you are wrong. So I won't try. -

News flash..... If you already typed it out, hitting the "post" button would not have been an incrementally large waste of time. -
Bledsoe Is Telling His Fans that Air Bledsoe
OGTEleven replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looks like they may just post any article with his name (automated?). There is an article about Curt Schilling and it simply mentions Bledsoe because Schilling lives in his old house. -
They'd have to cut him on 3/1 to avoid paying him on 3/2.

Here is what I meant: Bledsoe has many limitations and these are well known by the DCs around the league. When he tries to overcome his limitations (often) he makes mistakes. This pattern has repeated itself ad nauseum and I do not see any way it will magically reverse. Thus, by starting him you are capitulating to his limitations. The most you can possibly hope for is poor plans by other teams, and/or taking away plays from the playbook that will put DB into situations where he makes mistakes. It will be on his shoulders because of the limited playbook limits opportunites and creates more critical sitauations than are necessary. He must perform in these situations at a very high percentage to succeed. There is no guarantee with Losman. He may be a carbon copy of DB for all we know. But at least there is some hope. Maybe (after an initial period) he won't be so mistake prone. Maybe he'll be able to think and act quickly. Maybe throws over the middle won't be to the MLB. If he is better than Bledsoe in any one area, the whole team improves because the DCs plans won't be so easy to compile. The options that are open to us will multiply and JP won't be forced to make plays. Thus it won't be "on his shoulders". I am not comparing JP to Brady, but Brady's biggest strength in my book is lack of mistakes (with #2 being quick thinking). The Pats offense although similar (arguably weaker) to the Bills, has many more options because of the QB and the game is not on Brady's shoulders at all. As for keepng DB at a lower salary as a backup, I don't really claim to know the best course of action. don't think he could do well enough beyond a 4 game stretch, but I don't really know the alternatives.
-
The whole point is that Bledsoe's limitless limitations put a monkey wrench in the concept of a "team approach". He makes too many mistakes for that. Simply by starting a guy prone to so many errors you are "putting the season on his shoulders". It is wrong to say we would be putting the season on JP's shoulders by starting him. There is no guarantee of success, but all we really need is to avoid mistakes. Surely JP will make a lot, but our veteran has already proven he will as well. Furthermore, to put together a defensive game plan based on DB appears to be pretty easy.

His moniker shall no longer be Fake Fat Sunny. He shall be known as Petabyte Pete.

I used to collect sports cards. One set had inserted some autographed cards of old timers. The one I pulled of Theisman was signed on the wrong side of the card.

(OT) Planing to go to San Fran for my 20th
OGTEleven replied to envirojeff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't drop the soap. Sorry, had to say it. My favorite thing there has always been just cruising around to all the different parts of the city. There is cool stuff pretty much everywhere. -
I was not arguing the merits of your post vis a vis states rights, but I do think your examples are less than stellar. In your first post you did not say anything about 18 or 21. You simply argued against age limits. I was wondering if you advocated any limits at all. While I agree that the States are currently too weak amd the Fed too strong, your post did not articulate your point very well.

Now there are two great pillars in the halls of freedom: Smoke dope and drink young. Those are some great causes. I can't think of any better examples of freedom.

I was pleasantly surprised w/ Bledsoe's 04 play

The first post of this thread reminds me of most of my tee shots. It is long and wrong.
