  7. Happy Birthday Honey!!! I hope you have a great birthday and many many more. I'm glad that we will be spending the day together in New York City and I'm sure we will have a great time--as we always do when we get to steal some quality time together.
  8. Let me remind you--I bought the frame --and the matte--and I framed it--and I hung it in our den--because I love you.
  9. My favorite gift came from my husband about four years ago--our dog Jake. One of the things that makes it my favorite gift is the fact that when we met Rich told me that he didn't like dogs. I always had dogs as a child and would have a huge kennel of dogs if space and time and money permitted. Not long after we met in 1987 my dog passed away. Being a full time college student and working full time I did not have the time to take care of a dog. As soon as I got my own apartment I wanted to get a dog; again I decided to wait because I worked such long hours that I knew I wouldn't have the time to committ to an animal. Once Rich moved in with me, I again mentioned wanting a dog and again he reminded me that he did NOT like dogs--bad childhood memory of a dog killing his cats. Imagine my surprise Christmas morning 2000 when I open an envelope and it is a gift certificate for the SPCA so that I can go and pick out my very own dog!!! Not only did he remember that I wanted a dog but he knew that I wanted to adopt one from a shelter instead of buying one from a pet store. The real irony of this story is that now he loves his furry son!
  10. NOT! He didn't even score--against my team.
  11. I take A LOT of photos of our dog and cat and the only way that I have found to fix the blue or green or sometimes even white eye is with a "pet eye pen". It looks like a felt tip marker and they sell them at craft stores or photo shops. You basically use it to fill in the eye color after the photo is printed. It takes some practice to make the eyes look normal and not like you just colored them in, but once you get the hang of it, it's an easy fix. I have a picture of our cat in our dining room and you can't tell that he ever looked like a demon in the original print--of course his name is Damien!
  12. Thanks honey, I love you. Can't believe I've now known you half of my life ( I was 17 when we met)!!!!!!!!!!! You know that I wouldn't miss watching the Steelers on opening day for anyone but you--I'll watch it on the TIVO as soon as we get home! Aussie--We just wanted to wait those first 12 years and make sure that we didn't get bored with each other!
