  1. Browns and Jets picking the right QB in this draft? Not going to happen. The best QB in this draft will be Jackson.
  2. The main reason for a smokescreen is so teams won't jump ahead of you and so you don't need to spend pick(s) to move up. Teams like the Cardinals, Ravens, Chargers, Bengals, Patriots could all pull a 2017 Chiefs or Texans "move up for a QB" like those teams did to get ahead of the Cardinals last year to select Mahomes and Watson respectively.
  3. A lot of teams are going to look plain stupid passing on Jackson in this draft.
  4. Jackson's going to be a Buffalo Bill. No other reason to not meet with him other than it being a smokescreen. They want to keep as many picks as possible, they do not want to pay the heavy price to move up for one of the flawed "top" guys, so they pull a smokescreen on Lamar as a stopgap in hopes of keeping all of their high picks this year and still have next years #1.
  5. I'm really starting to believe that the Bills are locked in on taking Lamar Jackson because he's the only "top" QB they didn't show much interest in. I also think they may trade up a couple picks from #12 to make sure that either the Dolphins don't take him or the Cardinals don't jump ahead of them for Jackson. This board will no doubt implode, but Jackson is an obvious fit for Beane, McDermott and Daboll. The dude has it all...extreme physical skills, his arm and passing technique needs some work but is nothing that wouldn't prevent him from becoming a very successful franchise QB, he's very likable, and he's very coachable. He's my choice for the Bills franchise QB.
  6. Not to me, the "top 4" all have major flaws coming in. Darnold's a turnover machine, Rosen's a walking concussion waiting to happen, Mayfield talks so much NFL defenders are going to try to inflict max pain whenever they get the chance, and Allen's a one trick pony. If they get Jackson at #12 or Rudolph at #22, I'm good with that and them keeping all of their high draft picks.
  7. I do too, Lamar Jackson's going to be the steal of this draft. Rosen and Mayfield scream busts to me. Rosen will never last in the NFL (he'll be another Sam Bradford) and Mayfield is a head case (I don't remember any of those being a long term answer for an NFL franchise).
  8. Totally agree with this. I also think that the supposed "Top 4 QBs" have been much overhyped. I just read an article that said Darnold looks like a cow on ice when he plays, and you know what? I agree with him! LOL If they don't have a strong conviction on a QB to the threshold of throwing a boat load high drafts picks at a team like the Giants, Broncos or Colts to move up, then they would be doing the franchise a huge disservice by making the move to just appease fans. My hope is that if they do miss out on one of their guys (if it's true they even like one of them), then pick the "home run" "wild card" QB Lamar Jackson at #12. Go big or go home, there's no sense in playing it safe with an average talented QB like Rudolph. Swing for the fences with Jackson, and still have picks #22, #53, #56, #65, #95 to solidify the building process. They have AJ there to start for the whole season, so Jackson will have this season to learn and not be pushed into the starting role.
  9. I was a big fan of the Bills drafting either Mahomes or Watson. My eyes say that Lamar Jackson is the future of the NFL.
  10. In 2015, Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel were chosen over Derek Carr and Jimmy Garapolo. You just can't equate drafts like you did with 2004 because every draft class is different. I can easily see Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph having franchise QB careers and either or all Rosen, Mayfield or Allen being busts.
  11. I honestly think the Bills would draft Rudolph before drafting Mayfield. Due to his immaturity issues, I really feel that Baker Mayfield is off the Bills draft board entirely. I just don't see Beane and McDermott being all in on that type of guy.
  12. When I think of hot garbage, I think of a cocky kid who gets tackled by cops in the middle of the night, grabs his junk in front of millions of television viewers and poses shirtless with a "karate kid" bandana on an SI cover. Lamar Jackson will become a 10+ year franchise QB in the NFL, Baker Mayfield will be a bust.
  13. There is a LOT of talk in NYC about the Jets taking Mayfield (I would almost immediately write that in any mock draft at this point). Also, a LOT of talk about the Browns talking Allen #1 overall. I think the Giants end up trading the #2 pick to the Bills who will pick Sam Darnold (it won't include the 2019 1st round pick either). The Giants need to rebuild that roster and the picks will include this years and probably a next years draft pick. My guess would be something like #12, #22, #56, #96 and 2019 2nd round pick.
  14. ...AND the Buffalo Bills will literally gain millions of new fans. LOL
  15. This is a classic "LOOK AT ME" post. He mentioned the same inane thing in the "CBS/Bills draft Lamar Jackson" thread, then decides he MUST start a new thread bashing Jackson, because...uh...
  16. Lamar Jackson's going to be a rock star in the NFL. I get that people are easily led to believe that he's just going to be another RGIII or Tyrod Taylor. But I think if you look at the man, look at his drive, look at his passion, his toughness. Then you look at his very engaging personality. These are the ingredients that make the great QBs. Dual threat QBs like RGIII, Taylor, even Vick, all had or have serious flaws that limited their ceilings and careers. Jackson's ceiling is limitless. He has all of the qualities you look for, AND he is the most athletic QB to ever come into the NFL, AND he can the pass the ball very well, AND he's only 21 years old. Jackson's a guy who's wise beyond his years, just like DeShaun Watson seemed to be as a prospect. A LOT of NFL teams are going to regret passing on Jackson. This league is at a tipping point where drop back QBs are going the way of the dinosaur. The NFL is going towards the fast break basketball model and it's starting with QBs like Watson, Mahomes and Jackson. I'm really really hoping the Bills draft Lamar Jackson. Sorry, but I want no part of Rosen, Mayfield or Allen. I've seen the future and his name is Lamar Jackson.
  17. The Jets are not drafting Rosen. The Jets owner is a friend of Trump, Trump named him the ambassador to Ireland, and Rosen once wore a hat that said "@#$! Trump". The Jets will be drafting either Darnold or Mayfield.
  18. I think its very likely that all three QBs end up to the Bills, Jets and Dolphins. No one talks about the Dolphins much, but there's no way that Gase is sticking with Tannehill, and it seems that Rosen will be well within the target of them trading up. The kicker would be if the Patriots drafted Lamar Jackson. I could see Belichick really craving the challenge of winning with a whole new offensive system, especially with Jackson's skill set. He's been there done that with the "old school" drop back QB. The AFC East would be cra-cra if this happened.
  19. I'd be fine with them sending the Eagles the #22 pick for Foles and keeping all other picks including next years picks. My favorite QB in this draft is Lamar Jackson, but I do realize that it might take a couple years for him to get to the Foles stage of NFL proficiency. So a more immediate success approach might be to roll with this years Super Bowl MVP for four or five years, keep the high draft picks and build a very good team. The list of team needs has reached the danger zone and this team would still have picks #12, #53, #56, #65 to help fill those needs. I'm sure Foles being traded to the Bills is still a possibility.
  20. I'm sure the kids know the difference between a Camaro and a Lamborghini.
  21. Rosen's concussions issue make him not so close to perfect. Defensive edge rushers in the NFL are getting faster and fiercer. Rosen's going to get hit very hard, very many times. He may drop all the way to a team like the Cardinals simply because no one wants to deal with the concussion thing. This is something that seems to be being brushed off by the fans here who want him. It's a real concern due to the increased possibility he won't be playing full seasons or he'll have random games where he won't be able to play. As a GM, I wouldn't want to hold my breath overtime my QB drops back too pass.
  22. What?! Where was that one ever written? If I were Jackson's team mate, having his Mom as his agent tells me I'd never have worry about him being tackled by a cop in the middle of the night.
  23. You seem obsessed with Jackson’s wonderlic score. I could care less if he got a 13, go watch his unreal tape. Teams only care if the QB has the intelligence to handle the offense they’d be implementing, and whether or not he has the leadership qualities to become a long term franchise QB. IMO Jackson has very high football intelligence. He makes decisions hyper-quickly, and seems to have a sixth sense during the course of plays. I predict he'll become the most beloved QB by his team in this draft. Jackson is a guy that other NFL players will want to play with and will want to be lead by.
  24. Your personal attacks on Lamar are really embarrassing and insulting to this board.
