  1. I have a problem with him agreeing to move to the receiver position in his first two years at college. I don't mean to be harsh, but that doesn't sound like first round QB material who's destined for NFL greatness. Being a QB should be part of your DNA. No way would I take him in the first round.
  2. Subprime loan push = Obama's big government "Fairness" model in action Yet last night, Obama again lied when he stated the "failed" policies of the Bush administration were the reason for the economic collapse. It's sad that not even Fox News seems to call him out on this anymore. Bush played his part by not pressing the issue, but the boulder began rolling down the hill with years of the democrats pushing subprime loans. Whoever the GOP nominee eventually is will need to set the record straight once and for all in the general election. It's so annoying that he's gotten away with this line of attack when it was his crowd of Dodd, Frank and Raines.
  3. With so many juniors declaring it's hard to get a feel for the player rankings right now. I think a few juniors will push themselves into the top 10 the next couple of months, so you may find Matt Kalil or Morris Claiborne falling to our pick. Upshaw looks very good, but when there's a guy with a much higher rating sitting there you probably could bet that he'll be the pick.
  4. Upshaw's short arm length is almost as freakish as Peirre-Paul's long arm length. I just don't see the Bills taking Upshaw. Someone with a much higher grade is probably going to fall to #10 and that's who the Bills will pick.
  5. First off, I'm a moderate and an independent. Obama is so far left that it only appears that I'm a "right winger"...LOL Average Americans can't stand what Obama (with huge help from the liberal media) has done to this country. Average people see 5 trillion spent under his watch and think about how irresponsible that is to their children and their children's children. Even if it ends up being Newt, then so be it. Obama is not getting reelected no matter who it is since he's been a worse president than even Jimmy Carter. Seriously, do you think that in two short weeks Florida has suddenly become a "far right" state?
  6. I'm not a big Newt fan, but isn't the reason the congressman think this way is because they're completely out of touch? According to Rasmussen, there's been a 31 point swing in Florida in the last two weeks (and Florida isn't exactly "backwoods" like South Carolina). http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_presidential_election/florida/2012_florida_republican_primary Take whatever you hear coming from Washington, DC and New York with a grain of salt. These places are truly bubbles and the people who live there have no clue what real Americans want. I think we have a country of people that have three years worth of built up hatred towards the current president and that's why Newt is surging. He's reflecting the anger. He's even winning over the women voters. Yet they still want Romney at the top of the ticket?...LOL Romney's "Crest White" smile is completely disconnected to what average Americans are feeling right now.
  7. I don't know if it was that simple. It seemed like once Wood was injured, Fitzpatrick lost confidence in his protection and he began to be a "one read and throw it" guy. Other teams focused on taking away Johnson and Nelson which left the passing game in shambles. When they were going great in the beginning, Fitzpatrick seemed to have been able to stand in the pocket and look at his second and third options. He will never be a great "accuracy" guy, but if they can figure out how to keep Wood healthy and get a good, fast, "big target" tall receiver opposite Johnson, then Fitzpatrick could become a consistently very good QB for a whole season.
  8. I think the Bills are definitely on the upswing and heading for long term playoff contention starting this coming 2012 season. I say this because there seems to be a young core of "pro bowl" type players...Marcell Dareus, Fred Jackson (while not young he's got a lot of tread left), Stevie Johnson, Andy Levitre, CJ Spiller, Kyle Williams, Aaron Williams, Eric Wood. Along with them you have "solid starter" types in Nick Barnett, Jairus Byrd, Kelvin Sheppard, and George Wilson. That's a very good group of players that I can see as having multiple years in the playoffs. Seems they still need a DE, CB, WR, LT, and OLB. As for QB, Fitzpatrick did show tremendous talent at the beginning of the season, but he's clearly the biggest question mark going into 2012 as far as determining whether they'll be good or not. He'll probably get one more year to prove himself to be the long term guy for Buffalo.
  9. Fitzpatrick seriously looked like Eli Manning the first part of the season. Wish I knew what the heck happened to him after that. I guess there's still a glimmer of hope that he can look that good across a whole season.
  10. Isn't it amazing that both title games turned on the simple act of punching at the football? Those punches weren't even hard punches. Both Evans and Williams will be replaying those plays in their heads, and forever wonder why they didn't protect the football better. This should be a lesson to the Bills ball carriers that you carry the other 52 player's Superbowl hopes and dreams along with that football. I can understand playing with a regular season "looseness" during the year, but when you get so close to the summit you've got to treat that ball like gold.
  11. Good info on the players... http://www.gbnreport.com/shrinereport.html BTW, I didn't see Josh Norman's name on any of the roster lists.
  12. I think Newt's surge is due to him reflecting the genuine undercurrent of anger in this country that they feel towards the president. Romney has that fake looking, game show host-like smile and it's not connecting at all. America wants to see Newt "Sonny" Gingrich going off on Barack "Carlo" Obama in a national debate... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTit869LfWA
  13. Sorry but they're not excluded. People regard 1st round draft picks as way too important around here. The Bills aren't excluded from making a blockbuster trade for RG III with future 1st rounders. They can fill in the 1st round missed picks with top free agents who will WANT to come here since they'd have a franchise QB in RG III and would be a Superbowl contender for the next decade.
  14. If I were Romney, I'd release my tax records today.
  15. Losman was considered a project with franchise QB potential and Sanchez was considered a solid franchise level prospect. Neither one of those guys were anywhere close to the talent of what RG III is bringing to the NFL. As for trading up. My feeling is that the Bills won't be this close for a game-changing trade up for a franchise QB again for a long time. I think that this team will be a solid 8 to 10 win team for the next five or so years putting us out of range for this kind of trade up. It would be a major gamble, but I think it would be one that was worth it. You are never going to be a consistent winner unless you have that franchise guy at QB. I think if they got RG III, you'd find many very good free agent defensive players wanting to come to the Bills which in turn would help solidify that side of the ball. I won't be upset if they don't do it, but if they do pull the trigger I will be ecstatic.
  16. RG III will be going #2 overall after a team trades into that spot to get him. Count on it. The only way the Bills get a chance to draft him will be to give up extra future first round picks and I think that he even may be worth it considering we've been a lost franchise since Kelly left.
  17. I understand a falling off of performance level with key players out, but Fitzpatrick's drop was too substantial for it not to also be that he himself was playing badly. I think he raised the bar so high early in the season that the big drop means this season for him was maybe not an F, but a solid C-. However, you could make an argument that a C- equals F for a starting QB. I hope that he can return to the form we saw from early in the season. I think it's not far fetched that he could be consistently good throughout a whole entire season. I know I'll be rooting for him! It was easy to rag on a guy like Edwards because he never showed us any passion or performance. Fitzpatrick's done both so the fans will have his back and I think he'll bust his butt this offseason to make sure he'll play at a consistently high level this year.
  18. I was a big supporter of Fitzpatrick and I still am to some extent, but he did fail from the first Jets game on. It's the biggest mystery to me how he could look so great and then fail so badly. That's not a good sign for someone that's been in the league as long as he has been. I thought we finally had found our franchise guy and that all went to pieces in the second half of the season. The crazy amount of interceptions and missed throws are inexcusable. It's my hope that they can swing a trade in this draft for RG III. However, I don't think that's realistic and I think that they'll go with Fitzpatrick in the hopes his second half failings are fixable by giving him a strong defense, running game and a big target opposite Stevie. I do think that Fitzpatrick has the chance to be fixable to the almost-franchise QB level, but wow was his fall from grace disappointing to me. The guy will need some solid help around him if we have dreams of a Superbowl win for the Bills. I do like the guy a lot though and I'll be pulling for him to make the necessary adjustments in the off season to consistently be the guy we saw in those first seven games.
  19. Watch the replays closely dude. There's no way the Ravens leave with a win on Sunday if the refs have something to say about it. The Pats are clearly good enough to beat the Broncos without cheating, but they still got away with it accounting for two of their touchdowns.
  20. Anybody catch the pick play on Welker's touchdown? Or Gronkowski's push off on one of his touchdowns? Not that it would have mattered against the Broncos, but shouldn't they have to play by the same rules as a lesser team than them? It's laughable what the Pats are allowed to get away with and they take full advantage of the ref's favoritism. The fix is in, they want Brady and Belichick to get their fourth rings to cement the modern "dynasty" tag.
  21. I like to watch interviews of the draft prospect along with watching the game video. I have to tell you, I get a real bad feeling about Coples after watching him in the interviews I've seen. There's two impressions that come to mind and that's "stoner" and "slacker". Now maybe slow speech pattern and sleepy eyes are just part of his natural body language, but I just don't see hard driving, leadership material. If they do go defense, I think this team needs to go after a guy with not only great talent defensively, but also has great leadership qualities. As good as Dareus looks, he doesn't seem like a natural vocal leader.
  22. The thing that I don't like about Upshaw is that he has short arms. If they go pass rusher with the first pick then they need to get a guy who is both talented and has that extra reach factor. I don't know of any great pass rushers who have short arms. Look at the difference between Upshaw and Perry... http://media.scout.com/media/image/70/704160.jpg http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/001/765/346/92552298_display_image.jpg?1325790896 I see the Bills picking a prototypical pass rushing DE like Perry or going either OT or WR and saving the LB for the second round.
  23. Snookie = Jersey Shore Tebow = 2011 NFL Season It's true. This is one of the rare times when the NFL merges with American popular culture. It happened with Namath and then with Refrigerator Perry to a certain degree. I think Tebow's rise to mass exposure has a lot to do with America's fascination with reality shows. As with Snookie, everyone knows who he is and everyone seems to have either a love or hate opinion of him. They say that this could be the highest rating ever for a non Superbowl playoff game.
  24. Andrew Cuomo literally sounds like a truck driver from Queens. Not that it should matter, but I don't see him winning any state south of New Jersey...LOL
  25. The sad truth of the matter is that not only was Obama not qualified to be president (sorry, two years in as a senator doesn't cut it), his far left socialistic policies came at the worst possible time imaginable. Wait till the effects of the next wave of spiking oil prices mess with an already bad economy.
