I get the money but it’s crazy that with an awful DC and a soft MLB we had the number one defense. How much do lbs get in trades? Honestly, I don’t remember a big return for a LB. Also, Milano is cheaper. That helps too. I think MM is the better player but if the costs were similar, it would be a tougher decision.

This is where you have to be careful. Dude is going to be 34. Guys fall off a cliff really fast. I love the player and would welcome him but I’ve seen these story a lot.

Agreed on the instincts but OLB is a lot easier to be instinctive than MLB.

Nothing you said is close to true. They made a great trade and loaded up on high picks and got a number 1. Their receivers, one of the worst groups in nfl, are now better than ours. They have a ton of cap room and have added good pieces. Now I know a 24 year old MLB who constantly played in top 5 defense must suck but a lot teams would enjoy getting a player like this. As far as fields sucking, his second year numbers are very similar to Allen’s. But I guess Allen is the only young qb who can improve. And if fields does suck, they have a ton of picks to grab a guy next year and he will step into a good situation. when they over/ under wins some out, let’s circle back and put some money on it. Deal?

Fair points. I will say their head coach make Leonard, an all pro with far less tools. Also, I bet he gets to blitz more where he can be an absolute menace. It is a lot of money.

Did we have any close to a dominant DT for him to play behind? I agree TE has his issues but dude takes way too much blame on this board. We have undersized DTs who get blown up a lot.

I like David but this isn’t necessary true and it’s why TE will get paid more. TE is an ascending player while David is descending. Guys get old fast in the nfl and LD was not that great last year. I would take him but he’s declining.

Yup. A lot of fans want to justify losing him. He’s 24 and has made plenty of plans for us while playing the most important position on our defense. All I hear is how terrible Frazier was (he wasn’t). Maybe the coach he helped Shaq Leonard become an all pro can do the same with TE. Really like what the bears are doing. Hammering that over. we can’t play everyone but I think TE might be the one FA we really regret losing.

I like White. He’s really tough and the fact he was able to put up numbers showed how terrible Wilson was.

Rbs have little value. A 7th will get it done. and this is just a negotiation tact. I bet they work out a deal. But man, does it suck to be a rb. AE is a legit all pro type player and he struggles to get $10 mil while meh Jones and his 15 td passes gets $40.

I will miss his corny training camp videos. Backup qb should be a decent priority though.

They went 8-4 in games Tua started and finished. They were 24th in defense and hired arguably the best DC and traded nothing for at worst a pro bowl type CB. why is everything so black or white. I still think the Bills are the best team in the division. However, Miami made themselves, on paper, a lot better with Fangio and Ramsey, which besides Tia’s health, was their major weakness last year. He’s a huge nerd but McDaniel is a really good offensive coach. Miami has the foundation of a really good team and those two wins I locked in with them aren’t guaranteed any more. again, we have a 200 page thread on Odell, who has been declining for 5 years and can’t stay healthy.

There are plenty of questions about Tua but he was the highest rated passer in the nfl in his first year in that offense. Not sure he holds up but he was pretty good when he played last year. He’s not Zack Wilson.

Well, they now have a guy thought to be the top Dc in football and just added at worst a good starting cb. We are the top dogs without a dog but they almost beat us in a playoff game with a guy named Skylar. They are a really dangerous team with a lot of blue chip players.

I think he will since he’s older. I also can see him taking less to go to a contender. Perfect guy for the younger guys to learn from.
