  1. I would love to read the happiness in the Jauron extension thread (actually no because I was super happy about it haha).
  2. Fair. It’s also worth pointing out that that in years previous to McDermott, Tyrod led offenses that finished 13 and 16 in yards and 10th and 12th in points. His Peterman decision was one of the worst decisions ever made. I do think he is a good coach but so far, his offense have sucked. And that’s on him for hiring Ocs with poor resumes. There needs to be big time improvement on that side of the ball. And if it does, we have a legit SB contender.
  3. I mean points/ per game is a pretty important stat right? ? as a defensive coach, McD is one of the best in the game. But as head coach, he is responsible for everything. But since he’s been a coach, we have had one of the worst offenses in the league. It’s just a fact. This year is huge because if they don’t improve, we could be on our 3rd OC in McDermott’s tenure and possibly a new qb. but again, I’m generally fine with it because I think McDermott is a good leader and will always have us in games because of his defense.
  4. Yup. Anything less than top half of the league is a failure.
  5. When was the last one?
  6. True. Even as billionaire, I won’t want to eat money but the Pegulas have done it a lot with Sabres already.
  7. Defensively, I have zero disagreement. But when your offense has ranked 29, 30, and 24, it’s not great.
  8. Excellent point haha. But in theory, the Bills s should be set up better than other teams because of their continuity.
  9. Do you honestly think there was going to be a bidding war on McDermott? Like what if they completely suck this year against a much harder (on paper) schedule? And even if they were doing great, do you think he won’t sign an extension in the middle of season? and I’m fine with it but I get it if someone did think it was earlier.
  10. What’s the rush? When’s the last time there was a bidding war for a GM? If the offense is much improved and Allen takes a step forward, he will get a new deal. If Allen doesn’t, that’s about as big of a miss as you can have and it would make me question if he’s the guy going forward. I also would have waited on McDermott but I have slowly come around on him being a good coach. He’s one of the best defensive coaches in the game but still has had some big mistakes (so far, bad offenses/ OC, Peterman, coaching challenges). But he is a really good man who players seem to love and he is the leader of the franchise. Even if Allen doesn’t make it, I am fine with him getting a shot with another qb. this year needs to happen because it will be the best possible test to see where this franchise is. No more excuses.
  11. A lot of people who make a lot of money off free labor are going to be upset. This whole thing really sucks but in a strange way, I’m actually shocked that schools valued their athletes more than money and every athlete should get a red shirt.
  12. Yeah my bad. I’m not head over heels in love with our 56%, sub 200 yard passing qb. I’m crazy for thinking this team would be better with Watson or Mahomes. Silly me.
  13. I hope one of these guys steps up because we badly need size at receiver. But this regime’s drafting of receivers has been terrible. As good as they are on defense, they are that bad at receiver.
  14. I was thinking that but some of these guys don’t have secure draft spots. There’s a chance an unknown or lower profile guy lights it up and passes a guy sitting out. Like what Burrow did last year. it sucks and I really hope football happens in the fall because it’s so perfect then. But I think a spring season would be super competitive and it would be the greatest March/ April in sports history ever.
  15. I get your point but it’s a good question. Like if I’m on the team, of course I wanna win. But as a fan would have rather sneak in the playoffs on a miracle like we did in 2016 knowing we weren’t really good or have 15 years of an elite qb? It’s a no brainer.
  16. Definitely agree on Trevor, though he did take a step back last year. what don’t you like about Fields? I think he has it all. I Know OSU’s offense is very qb friendly but he also completed 69% of his passes at Georgia. Georgia would be national championship front runners if that racist baseball player didn’t make Fields transfer.
  17. I stan for any football docu series. But I have completely forgot training camps are going on. side note, Last Chance U was disappointing. The team and coach were too nice. I miss The white guy from Compton and brawls.
  18. Well said. If he and the offense were consistent last year, there would have been no need for those game winning drives. It’s one thing if this year, he brings us back for a 27-24 win against KC or Seattle. It’s another thing when it’s a 17-10 win against Duck and 14-7 against Mariota. I pray this season happens because this will let us know if he’s the guy or not.
  19. I don’t think he’s anything special but I think NE is going to have some wild formation and plays this year. I won’t be shocked if they have a wishbone formation. The talk is that they wanted a more mobile qb for a long time. Belichick was never going to tank. That was just stupid talk. They are going to be really tough still.
  20. Pretty interesting question. 1 - 17 years without that playoffs made me open to doing bad things if it guaranteed a playoff spot (I would be dexter like and only hurt and people). It is absolutely much harder to miss the playoffs 17 years than luck into a spot like we did in 2017. It is mind blowing how incompetent the Bills were. 2 - 2 berths in 3 years is nice so now the goal is bigger. I have serious doubts about Allen. If I knew he would have a similar passing year this year to last year, I would totally want the number 1 pick. Imo, I think Lawrence and Fields (and possibly Lance, though I haven’t seen a ton of him) are better prospects. This is a team that a good qb could step into and be an instant SB contender for 15 years. That would be worth it for one bad season. but this is moot because no matter how talentless the Bills have been, they always manage to win like 6 or 7 games at worst. That’s been the problem. They haven’t hit rock bottom enough. I mean that pretty much the case in every US market for hockey. I grew up playing and loving the sport (was my favorite sport for awhile). But it’s never going to be huge in the States. They had a LA-NY finals a few years ago and the ratings were still meh.
  21. And every school, town, And politician from those towns/ states need them to play.
  22. So you were obviously ok with Tua living huh? 2 quick questions: 1 - is this guy have potential to be better than Tua? 2 - if healthy, how good do you Tua will be as a pro?
  23. I call this Wednesday African American Betty
  24. Stable genius. And harbaugh is interesting. He has won at every stop yet seems to “choke” in the big spots. I think he’s probably a lot and can wear thin at times. i also think Michigan completely overrates themselves as a football powerhouse. They act like they are Alabama when they are closer to Pittsburgh.
  25. Oh for sure, the SEC teams are much stronger and well rounded than ACC teams. But it’s a pretty weak crop of SEC qbs right now. Of course, Joe Burrow wasn’t Joe Burrow at this time last year so things can quickly. If there is even a season. ?
