Shane Buechele looked solid when he led the Kansas City Chiefs in a few preseason games in 2021-2023 (which i assume prompted the Bills to sign him). Just another example of how elite Andy Reid is at getting QBs prepared, even in vanilla preseason. For the Bills Saturday he looked terrible. My problem with Trubisky is that he's a game manager, and just an average one. He elevates nobody on offense. There's not one player on offense who will look better because Mitch is out there dialing up plays and dropping dimes on the run, because he doesn't. Last year the Bengals had that Jake Browning dude who played awesome. If Allen gets hurt for any period of time forget about it...

Texans and Jags look like the AFC teams to worry about. The AFC South is rising up!

Before the draft, i really came around on JJ McCarthy, I was surprised the Giants passed on him. I get that Nabers was rated right with Harrison Jr., but man the NYG needed a QB and he looked good in his first outing. He will be starting for the Vikes at some point before the halfway mark this season.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
zow2 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously we have some pass catchers...Shakir, Samuel, Kincaid, Knox, Cook...all those other WR's are a big question mark along with durability for all. Coleman looks like he can be good but he has to get ready to play through the "handsy" stuff. He's not a burner so DB's will be all over him and he will need to make plays while getting bumped around. We know Josh is going to put the ball in the pass catchers hands, let's see what they do. It would be nice to have a Tee Higgins type guy but whatever,, maybe next year. -
Those are the things that do matter and will carry over if not fixed. The penalties were ridiculous and we've seen this in the past with McDermott teams. For a coach that cares so much about penalties, they need to clean that up fast. The trenches matter. It's all physicality. Getting dominated on both sides of the ball in the trenches is bad. And lastly, stop giving up 3rd and longs to every Joe Schmo Quarterback. The Bills D often has trouble stopping 3rd and longs and that can't carry over.

McDermott tried to hide it a bit, but you could tell at his presser after the game he was seething mad inside and disappointed in the group as a whole today. They did not represent the uniform proudly.

Buechele brought a little juice but he’s lacking of pure talent, Trubisky has some talent but no juice, doesn’t elevate anyone out there. Josh, please stay healthy

Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM
zow2 replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
We know it means squat. But Preseason or not, today was a great day for the national pundits who’ve been on the “Buffalo will win 9 games and miss the playoffs” train. -
Caleb Williams WILL play against Buffalo on Saturday
zow2 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was great in high school, he was Excellent in two programs in College and he will be a very good pro, maybe great. He was drafted 1 overall for a reason. -
Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM
zow2 replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
Execution was terrible. Don’t mind as much since without Allen on the field the season is toast no matter which terrible backup is out there. I do care that every preseason it’s like McDermott is new to football and never coaches how to stay away from penalties. Oh and i hate getting dominated in the trenches…and also giving up every 3rd and 9 it seems. Get it together -
Per McD, JA and first teamers will play about a quarter vs Bears
zow2 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
IF Allen is smart (and he is). He hands off, gets the ball out of his hand fast, doesn't run unless it's to get out of the way and run out of bounds untouched. JA has played plenty of preseason snaps in his career. He knows how to handle it safely. -
Yo, what about the NCAA Men's Finals Fours, The Big10 Basketball tourney, Big10 Football Championship games, the yearly NFL Combine, Olympic Trials, oh and the Super Bowl just to name a few. I won't even get into all the concerts and huge conventions. I mean yeah the Indy 500 is what that city is known for but gimme a break, that Dome brings in more big events in a year than Buffalo sees in 10 years.

Cleveland has long-term vision and wants to be big time. Buffalo is fine for what we are but has never strived to be a big time sports destination like Indy, Detroit, and future Cleveland. You obviously need a nice facility with the ability to be indoors.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
zow2 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I read that several small businesses and property owners around the new stadium are up for sale. It makes sense that owners are trying to sell their property and land in prime development areas for possibly hundreds of thousands $. I wish there was a long term vision for the entire area. Heck, build a cool indoor/outdoor mall type attraction to get people out there year round. Maybe have tunnels attached to the stadium for inclement weather.. If that comes to fruition, maybe add a light rail line from the airport to whatever they build. Can they make it a year round destination area? -
Von Miller Saying He Probably Shouldn't Have Played Last Year
zow2 replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von had no bend or acceleration until maybe the KC playoff game, and even that was like 50% what he normally would have. Hope he's mostly back this season that's for sure. Seeing the Milano video and interviews I'm getting Von flashbacks. Hope Matt takes his time on the come back. -
Kim Pegula is Attending Practice Today

While I'm glad she's still alive, this is beyond sad what's happened to her in her prime years. -

zow2 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The WR room is fascinating to me. On the surface, other then Shakir the guys seem a bit meh, like they are decent names but haven’t had these great careers (yet). But on the flip side, they’ve never played with an A+ QB like Allen who extends plays and throws dimes on the run like none other. You also have very motivated guys who might be on their last stop if they can’t succeed. -
Sunday Ticket lawsuit alleges price fixing by the NFL
zow2 replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
As someone who had Sunday Ticket since inception up through 2022, Show me the money! -
I'm glad for Araiza, I always felt like he was bum rushed out of the league by social media and public pressure. The Bills had no choice in that moment to do what they did. I said it at the time. It's just annoying that the KC Chiefs have impunity when it comes to signing players with sketchy backgrounds (not involving Araiza). Rashee Rice is the lastest problem child...we all know Tyreek Hill's history and they have had some other lesser known players on their SB teams that have not been the highest character. Yet somehow the football gods still reward them. Oh well. As Beane said in one presser leading up to the draft, you want high character guys but the team can't be all choir boys.

It's all great, except for the 737 full of KC fans coming to Buffalo 🤪

I'm so sick of hearing about Josh Allen's Turnovers (fun article)
zow2 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're not going to get away from the turnover thing. I don't live in Buffalo anymore but I'm around a lot of NFL fans for various teams. When I get into discussions with non-Bills fans the vast majority tell me that Allen is tremendous but turns the ball over too much. I spew out stats about 50 TD's, etc.. and how statistically he's one of the best playoff QB's in the history of the game. No one cares. All they come back with is, OK where's the MVP? where's the Lombardi?!? I've said is plenty and I'll say it again....Mahomes may be the best QB in football, but Josh Allen has been the best overall player (athlete) for a few years and that can't be disputed. -
Yep, and some folks prioritize a nonstop over a cheaper connecting flight. Especially in December. One bad weather front could mess up a connection in Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, etc. and your whole weekend is screwed.
-
I see a nonstop on Friday 12/6 at 1:25pm to LAX. That has to be it as SW normally does not fly to LA nonstop from BUF. The return leaves on 12/9 at 12:15pm The one stop flights are so much cheaper as of today.
-
Pretty cool that out of 21 flights that Southwest added to their schedule (specifically for NFL fans), 6 of them involve Bills games. Week 2 @ Miami Week 4 @ Baltimore Week 5 @ Houston Week 10 @ Indy Week 11 KC @ Bills Week 14 @ LA
