Yeah agree. the thing is, it’s real dicey to reschedule one game because it’s not competitively balanced “enough” and not reschedule all the other games. So let’s reschedule the Browns because their game matters more to their playoff chances than Washington or the LA Rams games matter to them?! Nope, can’t do that. its like when a team suffers a bunch of injuries. it’s sucks, but the game doesn’t get rescheduled so guys can get healthy.

Herbert has had some dud games this year, as has Allen. For whatever reason Herbert gets a pass. I will say this, Herbert is smart when he runs. He doesn’t invite or absorb as much contact as Allen does. He slides often or goes out of bounds. And because of that he will probably stay healthier in his career.

I don’t get not kicking the FG. I’m way too conservative. Possessions are limited, stack points. I don’t care what analytics say, 4th and goal from the 4 is not easy to cash in. Dumb Chargers. I don’t go for that unless i have to. And they pay another price with the tight end knocking himself out. very scary.

His tenure was even worse than i thought it would be. And an extra embarrassment that Buffalo lost to that team. It’s actually unreal.

I haven't read through this entire thread but does anyone else think it's remarkable how many razor thin first down spots have either gone against us or gone for our opponents?!? It's another factor in the 7-6 record. Allen quite possibly had the 1st down deep in the Tennessee red zone late.. Allen came within an eyelash of getting the first down just before the Diggs non-hold. I think his foot grazed the white boundary. Then Fournette gets a first down by a hair, if the refs had marked him just short they would not have overturned it either and it would've been 4th down. There are some other example but i won't dwell on it. Just beat Carolina.

We about to waste a really solid team...

Game Week: Week 15 Carolina Panthers at Bills thread
zow2 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's tough to admit but the Bills are a mediocre NFL football team at best. 1-5 against "good" teams, and 0-5 in close one score games. 3-5 in their last 8 games is brutal. I don't think this game vs. Carolina or the Atlanta game are slam dunks by any means. I do think Buffalo will eek one out here and it will leave us with more questions than answers... so my guess is Bills 23-20. -
Several nice plays where Stafford rolls one way then throws a nice deep accurate ball the other direction.

Maybe because GB plays a couple AFC teams (Balt and Cle) coming down the home stretch.

Good call on the 3rd down defensive holding in the end zone. where was this crew last night.
-
That was a sweet call and execution. Definitely thought of the Bills lacking that kind of explosiveness when i see that.

it’s funny, A friend of mine in another state who is an NFL fan (but not a Bills fan) always tells me how impressive Singletary looks and wonders why the Bills don’t use him more.

It's documented somewhere on this board. I wanted them to kick the FG and go to OT. I was at the game, and said it to the two people i was with in the moment. The energy in the stadium was such that i felt we would fail. And i wanted the whole team to decide the game, not one play. But after the game, i was told I was wrong as everyone said McD made the right choice. But i disagreed, I guess I'm more old school than McDermott. And looking back from that moment on, it's like the Bills were knocked off their pedestal as an AFC powerhouse and have been spiraling ever since.

I think it's hindsight 20/20 bulls**t to rip McDermott over kicking a FG to make it 10-3 on 4th and goal from the three yard line in the 2nd Qtr. I don't care what analytics say, you kick the FG there and make it a one score game. McD was RIGHT. I'll defend him here. The way our offense had been faltering inside the 10 yard line, there was a high likelihood we would not have scored a TD there and ended a very good drive down 10-0. Save all the desperation mode 4th down calls for when we have to get it later in games. Without that FG, the Bills are not in position to tie or take the lead at the very end. Folks need to chill. All of a sudden people expect coaches to go for every 4th down in the red zone. It's ridiculous.
