  1. A woman and her son were taking a cab in New York City. It was raining >and all the hookers were standing under the awnings. >"Mommy," said the little boy, "what are all those ladies doing?" >"They're waiting for their husbands to get off of work," she replied >The cabbie turns around and says, "Geez lady, why don't you tell him the >truth? They're hookers. They have sex with men for money." >The little boy's eyes get wide and he says, "Is that true, mommy?" >His mother, glaring at the cabbie, answers in the affirmative. >After a few minutes, the kid asks, "Mommy, what happens to the babies >those ladies have?" >"They become cab drivers!" She replied.
  2. Because DB is still looking for his first 2 recievers, and in the example cited, Shelton was still trying to get to the flat and Bledsoe was down already.
  3. That was the one where the fullback (Shelton) completely missed because he was trying to get to the flat as an outlet reciever. Even a simple chip could have taken the linebacker out of his stride. Rolling out is employed a lot with Favre, and the Giants have started using it with Warner, allowing the offensive tackles to get a better angle on the D line. By rolling out, the D line must take a different angle as opposed to a straight rush, giving the O line a chance at catching them off balanced and in a vulnerable position. It is best employed when you have a tight end or Fullback to that side, in the case you cited, the fullback whiffed. I would like to see it, provided we have a QB who can actually use his 3-5 steps to get to the proper place and scan the field at the same time. It may or may not be the guy that is starting this week. But I say give it another shot.....
  4. I'm wearing Blue, but the Giants fans around here think its for them...Idiots!
  5. 27 years ago today, I was a wise ass 16 year old going to St Joes waiting to grow up, get out and get going with my life.....what a long strange trip it's been Good Luck Cindy, may the hugs be with you!
  6. This place was a pretty good support mechanism for me after 9/11, I was at the game that Sunday, flew in over the towers Sunday night, and Tuesday was 9/11. The morning of the 12th I just dumped my day onto this board, my wife read it and cried. I had told this place what happened before her.
  7. Ok, so by posting a thread to Mead, you want only Mead, and no one else to read it. Couldn't it be done via the PM feature? Isn't that what it's for? I just walked in on this, but it seems like a lot of whining for nothing. Why post on a public board if the message is intended to be private?
  8. My "other" woman is trouncing me, this is disturbing!
  9. Just finished closing up the hole from the old air conditioner, the spackled and 85 % done painting the den. Also tore up all the carpets, did marble tile at the entrance, and tomorrow I will tile in front of the fireplace. Then I will go out on the boat and watch the Giants on local TV since I had to disconnect the satelite due to the reconfiguration of the room. Heading out to the Outback for dinner now
  10. I think the Bills can certainly turn it around. Although, they have to start soon, 0-4 or 5 has a way of just demoralizing teams. Get a win next week, maybe another after that and then see if you can get a little momentum. The Jets have been doing that the last two years, starting slow and then getting a few W's and they are right back there. If Bledsoe somehow has time, and Travis and Willis can get some consistency, the team can change faces pretty quick. They just need to get some decent blocking up front to get it rolling.
  11. Yikes, farther down in the column an interesting peice about Conrad Dobler....
  12. How about a Johnny Bench Buffalo Bison s jersey?? Johnny Bench Jersey Pretty cool looking!
  13. Not likely, he knows how to ignore idiots, I he didn't speak to me at all at the tailgate
  14. No apparently she has moved on to bigger and better things...
  15. Interesting, this helps to make sense when reading your posts. Now I'm sure playing with dolls was fun, but at least this has passed, are you going to tell us these were not dolls but "action figures" Just kidding, actually you are right, Jordan should enjoy his retirement, play in the golf tournaments, do the family thing, he is known as the greatest, let it rest.
  16. I propose a toast to the Red Queen!!! Annies Song
  17. We were sucking down some big beers at the stadium (well, Pat was anyway) there was one cart away from the usual outlets that was selling 32 oz labbatts and Labbatts light for 7 bucks better than the 20 oz ones for 6.50
  18. Look at the last 2 games, Sheldon has missed far more than one or two blocks. I understand that he needs to get into his pattern, but a simple chip to take the end or backer out of stride could do wonders. I hope the coaches are getting on him for these misses. In the Oakland game we saw at least 3 times where Shelton could have given a chip or full block to a defender, and he was too concerned about getting into the flat. He wasn't even the primary reciever in all 3 plays. In one, the offensive tackle took the defensive end, Shelton decided to "help" there, meanwhile the LB came in untouched and drilled Bledsoe.
  19. no, nothing against you, just wondering if there is any player movemment
  20. I know, but they certainly wouldn't do a 3pm press conference for that. It will be a small byline at the bottom or maybe a "ohh gee, by the way....."
  21. Relax killer, the Sape thread is from the president of the L Sape fan club, any meeting/press release or lightswitch turning on is associated with L Sape and his fullfillment of the prophecy. Not to worry.
  22. I am not familiar with that feature, what does it mean?
  23. great pics Rich, Great to meet you, the shot of the garbage plate is making me hungry..
  24. I do recall seeing that hit, as I recall Jimbo had had a few bad games in that stretch and he seemed a bit pissed that he let it get away from him. He completely cut the guys legs out, a legitimate hit, but really took the legs out from underneath him. I remember that leg flopping in air above his shoulder....yack that was gross!!!
