  1. I once had a great big dog when I was younger, It was a great dog, played well with others, was a very loyal companion. As the years went by, the dog watched as we had more kids and he accepted the new kids as just another face to lick, and another kid to protect and play with. But as the years went on, age started to take it's toll on my furry buddy, his hips were going, his hearing was going, he started to snap out on those that he had protected and cherished as his own. Some days his nipping and whinning was an all day jag, other times it was just barking and dropping warm "pudding" on the carpet. (anyone who has had an old dog knows the digestive tract is failing at 15 years). I tried everything with this dog, from yelling, to gently talking, to outright banishing him to the yard, nothing seemed to work. His nastiness and cantankerous behavior persisted, he continued to foul up our living space with his gastrointestinal wonders. I would lie in bed late at night hoping that somehow he would get better, or if not maybe he would wander off so that I would not have to do the inevitable. Well, the day finally came when I had discussed the next move with all members of the family, all members agreed that it was too much for us and for our loyal companion to watch him go through anymore of the pain. We made an appointment with the vet, the whole process was streamlined as the vet said " you should say your goodbyes now, you really don't need to be there when it happens", I gently removed his collar, he nuzzled into my neck, he knew the time had come. WHen I returned to the car, I could barely see through the tears, my wife who had been waiting quietly rubbed my back for support.....Perhaps ice's hips or knees are going, maybe his hearing is going, but he is fouling up the place with posts that are generally demeaning to all who disagree with his arguments, maybe it's his turn, someone get his collar
  2. Mine are up already, I am so efficient!!! ....ohh, wait, I never took em down from last year
  3. Wahhh wahhhh, just stay on LI for the night and then get on the plane....25 minutes to JFK if the traffic is good!!
  4. Hmmmm, that San Diego game looks interesting....beaches, nice weather, Jet Blue flights for 129..... Or New Orleans, 24 hour bars, gambling, bourban street, decisions decisions......
  5. Ok T-bone, maybe this will help, The ROUND pegs go in the ROUND holes and the SQUARE pegs will go in th SQUARE holes.
  6. Obviously we need his experience as GM, If I recall correctly, when he stepped down, they were undefeated and in first place, not bad for a rookie GM.
  7. I think they are just drawing the Bledsoe comparison to Holyfield as tired warriors past their prime, not actual plagerism. In the same weekend you had what should be Holyfields last fight, and what we all hope is Bledsoes last start, because in both cases the participants were completely overwhelmed by thier opponents that the comparisons were drawn. It was an easy analogy to look at Bledsoe as a tired old boxer, underscored by Holyfields' latest comeback failure If you really want to see plagerism, look at the main board here, 49 distinct threads asking for Bledsoes head, 37 asking for Donahoes dismissal, 19 raking Mularky over the coals and 2 or 3 asking for Mr. Wilson to step down!
  8. Interesting how the OC has yet to be available for interviews..Hern Edwards takes the heat for him.

  13. What did they charge approximately, for frame and matting?
  14. We have about the same chance of making the playoffs as a Snickers bar has of making it out of Rosie O'Donnels grasp..... Not that I don't fantasize about that snickers bar making its way out of her clutches...but seriously??? No
  15. He has been honored with numerous awards, such as the Pete Rozell Award from the Touchdown Club in New Orleans, the NFL Alumni's "Order of the Leather Helmet" and the "Timmie" Award from the Touchdown Club of Washington D.C., but none were more appropriate than the Buffalo News naming him the "Tops Sports Figure" in Western New York in the past millennium. Can anyone get the text from these clubs, perhaps the actual presentation speeches or any other news accounts?
  16. Thats a great start, but I think we need more than that, there are plenty of behind the scenes things that could help. As you mentioned, Al Davis was out of money and was on the brink of folding during the season, couldnt even pay the players, Ralph helped him out, and kept the original franchises going. We may need more of that type of examples to show the HOF voters that he has been more than a money hungry owner (see Davis, Jerry Jones). He is actually all about the sport. He had every right to pull up stakes and bail on Buffalo in the bad years, he didnt because it would affect the NFL. We need to dig folks, start googling.....
