  1. That makes more sense. I read that as A) No accrued season or B) One accrued season, but less than 9 games played total.
  2. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/8/29/6077941/nfl-practice-squad-rules-eligibility-salary-deadline I don't see how Robey is possibly eligible since he was active all 16 games the last 2 years. I haven't checked the others, but I don't think that list is right. Manuel has played in 15 games
  3. It's clear nothing outrageous happened here, but I'm still sad to see Fred go. He made me proud many times over the last decade, and I expect I will always wish him well. Critiquing the Bills: I believed Fred was still the second best RB on the Bills. Letting him go tells me they are either team-planning for the future, or sensitive to his salary hit, neither of which they want to get picked up in the media. If Karlos clearly plays as well as Fred in the backup position, I'll realized I just assessed the talent wrong.
  4. I'm not worried. I think Darby is going to be great with some time, experience, and coaching.
  5. The sides will not settle (as expected). Ruling soon, but not today. http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/13550206/judge-announces-no-settlement-tom-brady-hearing-deflategate-expects-ruling-soon
  6. The guy is a jerk, but really important to this O-Line. I now hope we extend him soon.
  7. He came back "from the grave" once this off-season. he can do it again! (Denial is the first stage of grieving.)
  8. I used to joke Parrish wore #11 because any other numbers were too wide, and would wrap around his body. Did Goodwin have the ball under him when that D lineman jumped on him?
  9. Easley caught every pass thrown to him, didn't he? The EJ TD passes were both great. If he hadn't led Clay, he wouldn't have scored. The Gray TD was very accurate, and not an easy throw. Those have been two of the top concerns cited repeatedly when criticizing him to date. So far I would say Roman is the most important addition to this team, more than I see in any one other person. Whatever his system, he has all of the players understanding what to do with a very large playbook, and looking comfortable, able to play all-out. Isn't this the time of year we annually argue about how much concern is warranted because the players aren't on the same page?
  10. No, it's just an old thread title. (Arrrgh!)
  11. I don't know how you missed mentioning the WR that Easley had the best night. I thnik he was a lock for special teams play, but he is actually showing up as a WR!
  12. I agree. Cassel seems to be scanning near-to-far, and EJ far-to-near. Tyrod is doing well, but not finding as many long balls as EJ.
  13. http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/playernews Starting Left CB for the Colts. I see Darius Butler, who usually plays the slot, listed as his back-up. Colts 2015 Player Preview: Cornerback Darius Butler
  14. I don't get why the Bills would trade EJ. If he isn't good enough to be a back up, why would anyone give up anything for him? If he is, why would they let him go for less than ransom? If EJ is traded we almost certainly will need to suit up someone worse during the season, as the primary back up, at least.
  15. I think I have broken the code, explained in detail below. QB starters Scrimmage - EJ Carolina - Cassel Browns - Tyrod Pittsburgh - EJ . . . . . Lions - Cassel - - - - - Indianapolis - Tyrod
  16. I get your point. But, do you really think he is the most overrated on the team? What you are describing seems to be subtly overrated. You don't think the hype outshines the reality more for any other player?
  17. Sure he could. He just wouldn't do nearly as well!
  18. Under: Incognito - He has looked great in the preseason game, pulling many plays. He might not be the most underrated, but he is going to really help the team this year. I wasn't expecting much, but have been very pleasantly surprised so far.
  19. who is over rating Fred? Or do you think he is nowhere close to a #2 / situational back?
  20. Overrated: Wood immediately came to mind. It you guys see him get blown up and pushed back 4 yards on the first offensive play of the Cleveland game? It almost destroyed the play. Underrated: It has to be one of these guys. O: Robert Woods D: Kyle Williams - He has never had the national hype and attention of Mario; and Hughes and Dareus are also getting attention with their contracts coming up, but Kyle has been a monster for us, and id the leader of the D-Line. ST: Easley easily; and perhaps he is the most underrated on the whole team. I was hesitant to list a ST player here, but I don't think most people, including many fans on this board even, appreciate how good he has been for us. If we had another #81 closing from the left, I think we would likely have one of the best punt coverage teams of all time.
