  1. Not mentiobned previously. Here's the link at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/The-Physics-Football-Bone-Crunching-Awe-Inspiring/dp/0060826347
  2. Interesting. Thanks. I don't know what to think. I haven't heard anything bad about O'Leary, but then again, I don't remember anything at all about him from the last session or two. I thnik he's definitely making the team and very likely to contribute more than Gragg. (Call it intuition.) Besides Manuel's TD pass to Gragg, Google isn't finding much for me. I see a couple references to him being young, inexperienced, and blocking well.... Edit: not blocking well! From Astro's Day 2: From Astro's Day 1:
  3. I haven't really seen/heard that. Is there anything you can point to? I'd expect a 6th round rookie to take awhile to get up to speed. I'm not surprised by the lack of mentions. Are you?
  4. Thanks. I'll edit my list. I heard one reference, but expected to hear more. I have a very high opinion of Robey and think he can be a star in this defense.
  5. Brady's side has to give something up to get down to 2 games. It can't be reduced just because he sued.
  6. I haven't been able to attend Training Camp, but have read and watched every report I can quickly get my hands on. Here are my impressions formed at a distance. What would you Update? Better - Players who have made me think more highly of them Miller Incognito Darby Charles Harvin Easley Watkins Woods - I almost didn't include him here. He seems to always work hard and get results Thigpen Holley - I think he lands on the PS Worse Cockrell Hogan - I think he needs to stand out with a good TC to make the team MarQueis Gray Absent (What's up?) Clay - I'm curious why his name hasn't been called Brooks Hogan - I have heard very very little about Hogan Edits: Changed Charley to Stephon Charles Removed Robey from Absent list
  7. I was thinking the same thing until I heard Rex say in a video yesterday say "Glenn, Incognito, Wood; we are set on that side". It was one of the after practice sessions, from Sunday I think. He named Wood, that just isn't news to anyone and wasn't tweeted that I know. I think the Wood concern is an overblown twitterverse echo-chamber non-issue.
  8. Thanks for the write-up. I'm very excited to see our defense attack, but also a bit wary. I hope we don't get carried away always throwing "hay-makers." Schwartz did such a great job with the D just rushing 4 he made me a believer that it wasn't all about scheme-driven chaos. I think this defense is mature enough to master several looks, at least with our starters all in.
  9. I would be shocked if we blitzed Reggie Robbie this year! Talk about surprising the offense!
  10. John Miller practicing per normal (at first glance) per multiple tweets
  11. I really really love the detail and effort you put into the reports! Thank you so much, Astro!
  12. Fun! Let's guess which charity deserves the funds for this type of incident. . . .
  13. Thanks so much, Astro. I really love your camp reports! At the :15 second mark of that video you can clearly see the defender is #53. That's Bradham, right?
  14. I don't even get your argument. I mean I understand what you are saying, but not how you can think that is true. The NFL had an independent assessment of the evidence and a highly-credentialed review of the analysis. The NFL would have been better off if they could have shown there was reasonable questions about whether tampering occurred. I don't get any bias claims. I thought I read someone going further into the math and saying the pressure readings 1) still wouldn't be close at zero degrees 2) Don't explain why the they only affected the Patriot balls. The actual real starting pressure has no impact on the conclusion that only the Pats balls changed a) from the starting point and b) variably, not due to some outside influence like temperature.
  15. I know it's just the first day, but I cannot help but be excited to hear about Darby's interception and Tyrod scrambling and hitting Goodwin for a long TD!
  16. My take is that this was a misdemeanor accusation for a position coach, not exactly a headline-grabbing case that is would be highly visible to fans or of interest to a national audience. I think the Bills want to keep Kromer (as do I). They are showing they are disciplining their employee and are letting time pass. Assuming this doesn't blow up at his court hearing, I think they will try to quietly bring him back on at some point when there is a lot more interesting to discuss than this legal proceeding.
  17. Still spinning.... Um, yes it does. They sound so very very helpful.
  18. And yet they have been suspiciously 100% silent. . . . It's pretty clear they signed some type of NDA.
  19. So why does the league fine players and coaches for criticizing officials or their calls in games? Do they issue fines for criticisms of the league in the off-season? When does that kick in again?
  20. Final Appeal decision: https://nfllabor.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/07282015-final-decision-tom-brady-appeal.pdf Scathing! My guess is the courts decline to accept the case. I think the cell phone destruction closes this out and should remove anyone's questioning of guilt.
  21. This wasn't directed at me, but I'll play. Destroying the phone would add red tape to any attempt to review its contents, and might take more time to resolve. If Brady wants to stretch this out and retire after the season, this might help. An no, I don't think he destroyed his phone, at least not on purpose.
