  1. Nice post, KOK. I am hopeful EJ will take the starting job. At very least, he's not far behind the other 2 QBs. And I agree, he has the highest upside. Most of the EJ negativity is just media echo-chamber, I think, particularly clearly at the national level.
  2. QB1 hardly plays in the first preseason game, right? I'm glad EJ and TT will get a lot more playing time.
  3. I'm expecting something like this from Goodwin this year: 20 catches for 375 yards and 3 TDs
  4. I can't imagine a kid having a healthier hobby. I have a hard time understanding how any Bills fan wouldn't enthusiasticly support Goodwin following his dream, and be proud of him. In my opinion, that negativity is just bizarro Buffalo defeatist bullcrap, preemptively bracing for some future disappointment. Go Bills! Go USA!
  5. I hope that's it. It's going to be Fred's body, not his heart that determines if he has another season in him, IMO.
  6. I have thought one of the main reasons we have carried two kickers may be that Carpenters leg wears down after a full season of kicks. He was great when he could focus on just FGs. I wonder if he is being held out for that reason, if we might carry only him this year. Has anyone heard any specifics about the injury? It is only intuition at this point, but I think Rex let's vets sit in preseason if they aren't on the bubble. Does he have that reputation?
  7. Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia Aaron Williams and Jerome Felton were fine according to Rex
  8. He certainly seems strong enough and fast enough. I'm worried he has a tendency to lunge, and hasn't learned the technique subtleties he'll need to compete against the D-Line talent in the AFCE.
  9. Easley's name being called a lot. Talk about rising to the challenge! I've thought he was likely safe for ST reasons, since I believe he is the top gunner in the league, but he's making himself hard to cut as a backup WR.
  10. Does anyone at all refute that the officials set the balls to 12.5 psi according to one of the gauges before the game? The balls would have to get 80+ degrees colder to explain a 10% difference in pressure (assuming the same amount of air was in the balls and air pressure did not change significantly).
  11. I think those two are really going to help each other get better.
  12. This was the question: chris jackson‏@xhighway1 @SalSports At their peak from what you've seen which QB is the best? consistency aside if you always got all 3's best who would you pick?
  13. What's up with all the name-calling? The Panthers one is directly addressed in the appeal decision on page 15: Read more here: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/nfl-blog/article29140732.html#storylink=cpy
  14. Is PUP to start the season the same as IR with designation to return? It sounds like players on PUP must sit out the first 6 games: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physically_unable_to_perform This is a better write-up that makes PUP and IR-designated to return separate. http://www.ninersnation.com/2015/7/23/9023391/nfl-pup-list-injured-reserve-nfi-list-rules-2015-san-francisco-49ers
  15. So if Leodis isn't healthy by the start of the season what will his designation be, and impact on the cut-down to 53? IR with option to return? PUP?
  16. Brain exploding... That's the problem with Cassel, he's just not consistent!
  17. I agree. I guess I'm surprised Brady hasn't said clearly "please go talk to them; I can't tell you what they were doing or saying, or why!" Of course I really don't think he wants them to, and that is a part of how Brady comes off as guilty to me.
  18. Easley has looked like a real competent WR, not just a ST star in the vines posted so far today.
  19. The NFL would have been fine with, and actually preferred, no appeal . The point of an appeal is not to do the investigation again, but to hear and respond to the punished player's arguments that it was flawed. Brady apparently did not want to contest the McNally and Jastremski testimony and evidence. What I don't understand is how Brady can be punished, if he is, with not making those two available to the initial investigation. That is not his responsibility, is it?
  20. It's not a legal proceeding; Goodell couldn't supoena them. He said he wanted to talk to them in the appeal and Brady/NFLPA declined, saying they would not ask them to join. Given that a significant amount of the penalty was hindering the investigation, including not making these two available for follow-up questioning, that approach amounts to a concession that nothing has changed on that point and the associated initial judgement was uncontested.
  21. Party Fowl - Plenty of good images you can steal for your team....
