  1. No ... if he was like JK, he wouldn't have sulked about all the trade talk, but just gone out and played so well this year they'd be forced to sign him to a huge multi-year contract extension.
  2. Yeah! It could be as good as the weapons TR had in Dallas with Williams Owens Witten oh .... wait a minute ..... It did sell seats in Dallas, though, so Ralph would be happy. Git 'er done!
  3. What do you think of THIS article? T.O. Will Find Another Sucker to Pay Him I hate to admit that this guy is probably right, and I even feel a little dirty after reading it ....
  4. Yeah, does the name Eddie Robinson ring a bell with anyone?
  5. I just can't see the Bills FO being that high on Haynesworth, in light of all his "legal" troubles (both on and off the field). The guy still has the maturity of a 12-year old ... and that's probably paying a disservice to 12-year olds! Giving a guy like that the kind of guaranteed money he will demand (and most likely get from some team out there) is a risk the Bills just aren't likely to take. I'd not be surprised to see "Fat Albert" wind up on a team like the Cowboys or the Raiders - they LOVE to prove they can "rehabilitate" these guys. GO BILLS!
  6. It's not just the money he's demanding that will keep the Bills from being interested - it's the "character issue": Add that to his previous "on field" troubles (5 game suspension for kicking an opponent's helmet off and then stomping on his head), and I think the Bills would be wise to steer clear of this idiot. He's got the physical skills to be one of the best DL's in the league (and probably is), but the risk of him continuing to get into trouble, both on and off the field, is too great to pay him the amount of guaranteed money it would take to sign him. GO BILLS!
  7. .... except it wasn't "Edge who left" ... the Colts just released him without making any sort of offer - he was just too expensive at that point, and at his age, and just coming off a knee injury, he was deemed expendable. They already had Dominic Rhodes, and drafted Joseph Addai that spring .... and the rest is history. ;-) I think giving Edge a ring was a sincere gesture of thanks for past performance. GO BILLS!
  8. I think it's from the radio waves in the helmets they wear ....
  9. He's the genius who decided drafting Pac Man Jones was a good idea ....
  10. I think it's a question of checks and balances. You need 2 or 3 people in the FO making joint decisions (like the GM, HC, and head of scouting) to make sure no one person goes out and does something completely crazy (like drafting McGahee with a #1)! When Donahoe was here, there wasn't anyone like that (at least, no one strong enough to stand up and say, "Hey, that's crazy, and here's why ..."). Of course, with someone like Donahoe, who couldn't get along with Cowher, maybe that never would have been possible ... he wants total control, and so far, there's not been another team willing to give that to him. But I'm pretty sure Belicheat can hold his own with Reese .... don't have that some amount of confidence that Jauron could have. GO BILLS!
  11. Why would you want Tom Brady's imaginary girlfriends?
  12. Bills vs Dolphins 1989 - last 2 minutes - CLASSIC JIMBO!! Those were the days!
  13. Apparently he didn't have to "give up" ANY of his coaches, at least according to ESPN: Though citing the dissatisfaction of the team's fans over a third consecutive 7-9 season, Wilson elected to retain Jauron and the entire coaching staff, believing the team is "better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul." Linky thingy
  14. I wonder if we'd be feeling worse, as Bills fans, if the team had gone 11-5 and still missed the playoffs (like the Patsies*) ... at least we know our team didn't deserve to be in the playoffs, and while I hate to say it, NE probably did ... but I'm still glad they didn't make it!
  15. Cowher won't talk to Cleveland because when he left Pittsburgh, he told them that if he ever did come back to coach another team, it wouldn't be for a team in the same division as the Steelers. GO BILLS!
  16. I'd be interested to see how this compares with some of the more successful teams this year, e.g. Miami, NE, Titans, Steelers. Hard to imagine that the "average age" on offense varies dramatically from team to team - this is a "young man's game", because of the physical nature of it.
  17. Would imagine that any new coach coming in would want to be able to bring in his own coaching staff, so if DJ goes, Turk probably goes as well. The only exception I can imagine is if DJ were to be replaced by Bobby April, who might decide to keep most of the existing staff. I agree that Turk showed "flashes of brilliance", as did many of the players on the offensive side of the ball ... but the bottom line is, if the players execute the play that is called, whatever it is, the OC is going to look good, and if they don't, he's going to look bad. The only fault I had with Turk is that at times, he seemed more intent on trying to exploit a perceived weakness in the opposing defense, rather than just calling plays according to the Bills' strength(s) (e.g. calling pass plays near the goal line when the run had gotten them down there in the first place, esp. Lunch). But I think he can learn from this year! GO BILLS!
  18. Former Bills QB James Harris, one of the first black QBs in the league, was forced to resign from his post as player personnel chief of the Jacksonville Jaguars in light of their disappointing season. Linky: James Harris is Jags' "fall guy" Maybe the Bills can use his services again? Jacksonville looked great for a number of years after he a Del Rio first got there. I blame this year's "melt down" more on Del Rio losing the locker room than on lack of talent on that roster. He couldn't do any worse than the crew we have ... could he?
  19. I don't know - the Jets fans probably love him ..... along with those of the teams in Miami, Cleveland, San Francisco .....
  20. Pat Williams fractures shoulder - out 2-6 weeks Tough break for the Vikes ... just when it looked like they had dodged the NFL suspension issue. Feel badly for big Pat ... GO BILLS!
  21. ... and the bad news is, he actually signed it a month or two ago ....
  22. San Diego Chargers - they consistently seem to have the hottest cheerleaders ...
  23. ... we could be RAIDERS fans! Linky thingy: Lost in the Black Hole
