  1. Who do you think will be the NYJ QB who wins 10 games for them this year? I pick them going 8-8, just behind the Bills 9-7 (which won't be good enough for the playoffs anyway). GO BILLS!
  2. Hey, what was the name of the TV show pictured in your avatar? I semi-remember watching it as a kid ... is this the guy that "found" a "super suit" (from some alien planet) .... but it didn't have instructions, so the whole series was based on him trying to figure out how to use it?
  3. This is an interesting article. He has the Bills passing on a WR in the first round, and taking a CB instead (Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy). And according to his mock, Kelly, Sweed, Thomas, and Jackson will all be gone before the 2nd round, leaving ... James Hardy in the second?? GO BILLS!
  4. Bryant McKinnie pleads Not Guilty to brawl charges I know some are still upset we didn't pick him over Mike Williams when we had the chance ... myself included! But he's had some rough moments with the Vikes as well (of course, at least he's still in football ... and a starter!) GO BILLS!
  5. Sept. 9 DENVER BRONCOS - LOSS Sept. 16 @ Pittsburgh Steelers - LOSS Sept. 23 @ New England Patriots - LOSS Sept. 30 NEW YORK JETS - WIN Oct. 8 DALLAS COWBOYS - WIN Oct. 21 BALTIMORE RAVENS - WIN Oct. 28 @ New York Jets - WIN Nov. 4 CINCINNATI BENGALS - LOSS Nov. 11 @ Miami Dolphins - WIN Nov. 18 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - LOSS Nov. 25 @ Jacksonville Jaguars - LOSS Dec. 2 @ Washington Redskins - WIN Dec. 9 MIAMI DOLPHINS - WIN Dec. 16 @ Cleveland Browns - WIN Dec. 23 NEW YORK GIANTS -WIN Dec. 30 @ Philadelphia Eagles - LOSS I predict 9-7 ... but they miss playoffs by one game when TKO spoils his former team's chances in the season finale
  6. Maybe it was delayed because the Bills realized our home game with Miami was NOT in December, and Ralph pulled a few strings to get that fixed! GO BILLS!
  7. Then I guess it's a pretty safe bet that he has absolutely no political aspirations any more (if he ever did - I remember hearing some rumors that some officials from the local Reblican political party in WNY were trying to get him to run for some office or other ... can't remember if it was a county post, or state-wide?) GO BILLS!
  8. Linky There's a cartoon on espn.com's "page 2" that shows a monkey sitting on Peyton Manning's shoulder in the middle of a Super Bowl "media day" press conference, with a reporter in the back shouting out the question "Is that Dan Marino's monkey, or Jim Kelly's monkey?"
  9. All-Unwanted All-Pros List includes: First Team OFFENSIVE LINE Ruben Brown, Chicago (was waived in 2003 as washed up) DEFENSIVE LINEMEN Bryce Fisher,* Seattle (graduate of the Air Force Academy, where they make you attend class!) Pat Williams,* Minnesota (undrafted; Minnesota's incredible figure of just 2.8 yards per rush allowed is largely this large gentlemen's doing) LINEBACKERS London Fletcher,* Buffalo (undrafted after playing DIII in college; since 2000 has more tackles than Ray Lewis or Zach Thomas) Second Team OFFENSIVE LINE Jason Peters,* Buffalo (undrafted and waived twice; was a tight end in college) KICKING TEAMS Punter: Brian Moorman,* Buffalo Long-snapper: Jon Dorenbos,* Philadelphia (during offseason, works as a magician in Vegas) .... and then there's this:
  10. .... I think the fact that the Colts just BARELY eeked out a win against a Bills team nationally perceived as being less-than-mediocre at best was enough to make the Indy fans not feel very confident in their beloved team. The fans had expected to see Peyton throw for 500 yards and 6 touchdowns, and instead were biting their fingernails at the end, grateful for a Lindell miss on the FG attempt. That was one of the first doses of reality they got that maybe, just maybe, this year was going to turn out like last year in the playoffs. No reason to cheer about that. Of course, after last night, they are all back on the bandwagon again!
  11. Bill Simmons Page2 Article and ... and here's his point So let's hope Jauron stays on the sidelines, and Marv stays in the front office with Ralph! ;-) GO BILLS!
  12. Colts Fans Article FWIW - local Indy paper interviewing a Colts fan who lives in Baltimore about attending this weekend's Colts-Ravens matchup in Baltimore, wearing Colts gear, etc. He then compares the Baltimore fans with fans from other NFL cities, and offers this quote: GO BILLS!
  13. Jersey A/Philadelphia Analysis Earlier in the article, he really lays into "Little Liar Nicky" for walking out on the Dolfelons the way he did.
  14. Just saw a clip of yesterday's Iggles' victory over the Gints, and they mentioned that the long-snapper for the winning FG was Jon Dorenbos. I hadn't heard that he'd caught on with another team this year. I was happy to hear that - he always seemed like a "good guy", who survived and overcame an unbelievably tragic childhood to get where he is today. GO BILLS!
  15. I just tried to do this ... but you have to pick a subject heading from a pre-defined list of topics for your e-mail, and I don't think any of them really fit this specific issue/topic .... "Commerce"??
  16. per ESPN Linky: Louisville Wants Tulsa's Kragthorpe to Replace Petrino The truth is, I remember this guy's name, but not much else about him. Don't think he was here for Losman's 1st year, so I assume he was here during the Bledsoe era?
  17. I remember there were a number of folks hoping the Bills would sign this guy a couple of years ago. Even TD knew better than that, and I know Marv wouldn't consider him these days. Just makes you wonder what gets into these guys! Can't remember the details of the scandal he was involved with in Cleveland ... maybe under-aged girls served alcohol at a party at his house? Linky: Verba arrested in Vegas
  18. I think Clements is as good as gone, so I hope Marv et al are focusing on doing whatever they can to try and re-sign Fletcher. He and Nate are the 2 most consistent players on D, and I just don't think we have a chance of satisfying Nate's contract demands. But Fletcher ought to be able to be re-signed. Though it's unfair, he doesn't have the kind of "reputation" on a national level that Clements does, plus his age will work against him to some extent. The wild-card, of course, is his agent (Rosenhaus). Maybe they can work out a "two-fer" deal - agree to re-do McGahee's contract (but make it heavily incentive-laden), and re-sign Fletcher at the same time. GO BILLS!
  19. Sure ... but that's much easier than rooting for the Patsies or Dolfelons ....
  20. Before the season, I thought the Bills would finish 7-9 or 8-8. I had penciled in "W's" in the games with Miami, Jets, Lions, Texans, Packers, and Titans, who I thought would all be much worse than the Bills. That would be 8 wins right there, though I allowed for the possibility of a "fluke loss" to at least one of those teams (I thought Miami in Miami would be the toughest ... never imagined them being able to lose to Detroit!). I assumed they would lose to the Patsies (twice), Bears, Colts, and Chargers. The "wild-cards" (too close to call) would be Vikings, Ravens, and Jaguars, and I hoped they would win one or 2 of those. So, they are about where I expected they would be at this point. But I honestly didn't think they would be playing any "meaningful games" this late in December, and because of that, they've exceeded my expectations. GO BILLS!
  21. Yup, I'm a man of few words ... but I enjoy reading the message board when I have time. Didn't have time yesterday, which is why I didn't notice the TMQ stuff had already been posted. I rarely go back beyond the first page of messages.
