  1. I think the premise of the poll (".... your only concern is Peters") is faulty. If that were true, it would be easy just to "give in" and grant him a monster contract just to get him into camp. But the negative effect that would have on the rest of the team, now and in the future, is pretty scary. Any GM who did that would be setting himself up to be held hostage by any/every other player on the team who would then expect similar treatment. So, I voted "do nothing" - the ball is in Peters' court - he has the next move. Certainly you would not want to have this turning into a p#$%%^ssing match in the media.
  2. Did ROBERT Irsay hire Polian, or was it his son/successor/current owner JIM Irsay?
  3. Also, since he plays on offense, he probably really doesn't need to care as much as, say, someone who plays defense! GO BILLS!
  4. I think none of us fans know what may be going on "behind closed doors" with the Bills' FO and Evans' agent ... which is at it should be. I think there is a very good possiblity that they ARE, in fact, negotiations going on. And who's to say that Evans is really all that keen for a deal right now, or this year? It actually may be in his best interest just to wait and test the FA waters next off season. Unless the Bills are willing to toally "break the bank" for him, they may continue to "negotiate in good faith", but both sides also have reasons not to rush into anything. GO BILLS!
  5. Del Rio upset with holdout Derrick Harvey (ESPN) Seems he (or more likely his agent) are asking for a deal like #5 (Gholston) got .... even though he was taken at #8 ..... Glad he wasn't around at 11 after all .... GO BILLS!
  6. linky The final script of a film documenting the life of Marlin Briscoe, the first African-American quarterback in the NFL, is close to completion. The movie is set for a release sometime next year. The movie is still in the casting phase and shooting is set to start later this year. The film is to be titled "The Magician". GO BILLS!
  7. BeastMode's attorney .... and Goodell. Seriously. If Lynch misses any significant time, especially at the very beginning of the year, .... WE'RE DOOMED!
  8. Kaczur arrested for abusing pain killers; wears wire to help catch his dealer
  9. Curious about how the pump would work for someone involved in a "high impact" sport like football. My understanding was that you pretty much had to wear it continuously, and I'm not sure that would be very safe to have on during a game filled with such violent collisions. In any event, I wish him all good luck in dealing with this while continuing his career, both for himself, and to serve as a model for others dealing with diabetes, especially kids. GO BILLS!
  10. He'll certainly be the most motivated player in camp ... if he doesn't make the team, he gets shipped to Iraq! Talk about pressure ....
  11. I think it should to to Toronto!
  12. I assume this means he has no further military obligation, and will be able to start his football career immediately? Wonder how that works? I always thought the Army players would have to fulfill a 2-4 year military commitment after graduation from the academy?? GO BILLS!
  13. I think it's the Seattle Supersonics that are getting ready to jump to OK City.

  17. Yeah, maybe he should just claim "conscientious objector" status ... or head for Canada! That's how lots of folks beat the draft in the 60's .... ;-) GO BILLS!
