I’m going to a hypothetical scenario to express my point. I realize that contracts can be manipulated so the length of them may not really come into play. Beane signed a bunch of players this off season and in FA. They range anywheres from 1-4 years, I think only 1 or 2 was for 4 years (Morse & Beasley?) but most were shorter term. Here’s the hypothetical, let’s say the Bills were to trade for Stefon Diggs (current contract is for 5 years that he signed last year) and either the Bills keep that contract or re-sign him for a new 4 year deal and then were to draft someone like K’Neal Harry either late 1st rd or in the 2nd rd, would that be a way of putting a competitive team on the field presently while grooming the future replacement? I’m not saying that Harry would be the direct replacement for Diggs but I would have to think that Diggs would be the #1 WR. John Brown is 29 years old and was signed to a 3 year contract and his forte is speed. While if Brown played out his contract he’d be one side or the other of 32 years old and one would have to expect his speed to diminish. Enter Harry. He could be the Peerless to Eric Moulds type of compliment. In a couple of years after that could Harry then be the replacement for Diggs? This is just not regulated to the WR Corp neither. Beane seemed to put a lot of 1 or 2 year contracts out there as well in other position groups. Is this a way of keeping a steady stream of good players flowing all the while of managing the salary cap between veteran and rookie contracts?

Yes, that is what I was thinking. -
ASU WR K’Neal Harry is projected as a 2nd rd prospect.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see the Bills move up into the end of the 1st rd so they can have a 5th year option on Harry. The Chiefs have the 29th overall pick. I would think that they would make a good trade partner. -

Ha, I actually just woke up and figured I might as well get it over and check out how many more “enjoyed” my post. As far as coke thing, no worries, I should have reframed from commenting, you did nothing wrong. Man, I just wish that this thread will hurry up and go away! Lol! Hey, have a great day! Peace. -

As far as you go I find that to be an offensive remark and going a bit too far. I get it, the post is too long but there’s no need to go there. Btw, IF I were doing cocaine I sure as hell wouldn’t be on this message board posting about the Bills. -

I’m not taking it personal, just some thoughts that I wanted to share but got long winded. Hey, my eyes are still not right. I’m posting this from memorizing the keyboard, I had plenty of practice. -

I’m not mad or anything. I respect others’ opinions. I get it, it’s too long of a post, no problem. If enough people don’t like it I’ll take it down, I’m not trying to torture anyone. -

Ok, not the responses that I was looking for but that’s alright. I’ll let it run for a bit more but if the responses remain the same I’ll just delete it. Sorry to bother you, go back to your lives now. -
I just want to speak to all the Buffalo brethren’s out there for a moment. I don’t have time anymore so I’m going to get all my thoughts out there in just 1 post. Regardless if you like or dislike, agree or disagree I just want to speak to all of you from the heart. I, like many here, am so excited about the Bills’ future. I think that we might finally got it right, or at least I hope so! This isn’t meant to come off negative or trying to bash what has been accomplished with the current roster, I’m just wondering what we can expect with our offense. The knock on Josh Allen has been his accuracy. What isn’t addressed enough is the fact that in college he wasn’t asked to dump off short passes so needless to say his completion percentage was most compromised. Longer passes, less success but nobody wants to talk about that. This brings up the slot WR and what I’m wondering what would be a fair expectation in this department. Not having a lot of exposure to this aspect of the passing game what would be fair to expect from Josh Allen? What I will say is that I loved how Josh grew by leaps and bounds each and every game since he came back from injury. In hindsight that short period of missed time now seems like a blessing in disguise. Also not knowing a lot of Cole Beasley I of course started looking him up and watching some of his past video. What stood out to me and my untrained eyes was the fact that he’s surehanded. Too many times last year, mostly with Zay Jones, some with MacKenzie and some in Foster’s first games, there was too much bobbling of the ball. I’m hoping and looking forward to a successful tandem with Allen and Beasley. Please, add some input to this if you agree or disagree with this observation, I’d love to hear what others have to say about all this. Afar as a summary goes I’ll speak about myself but I think that this could apply to plenty others here. Thank God I’m not the Bills’ GM. After too many years of failure and me being impatient by nature I’m afraid that I would resemble more than my liking to being a Doug Whaley type of GM. I guess that’s why I’m in the car business than real estate, I’m all about instant gratification. With the state of affairs that this franchise has been in for quite some time we needed someone with vision/plan, capable of making hard decisions without second guessing himself or letting others effect him with their opinions and probably most importantly having patience. Enter Brandon Beane. I was going to post a thread titled “The 2019 Buffalo Bills, a perfect storm.” I believe this, this all seems different from years past. Going into the 3rd year with this administration for the most part one can start seeing and sensing this plan/vision starting to come together. Starting with addressing a culture change and work steadily towards it. One can start seeing this start coming to fruition, eliminating non fitting players/personnel, taking on the salary dump and replacing players with proper fits with players with the right mentality, commitment and abilities. I hated seeing the likes of a Kyle Williams retiring but knowing him like we all do you know he wouldn’t have done it if the ship wasn’t in the right hands. That alone is a great confirmation that things are headed in the right direction. Thanks Kyle for all that you’be done for us, love ya man! The pieces that have been steadily added are meshing, there really is something to be said about this chemistry thing. As far as McDermott goes plenty of pros and cons have been discussed about him since he’s been here but what you don’t hear a lot about him professing about his vision of building a team that has love for each other. I suppose we have heard about this but we haven’t heard or realized enough about imo is how he was going to do it. That dinner where he took a bunch of our HOFers to dinner and just sat in the background and observed might be one of the greatest isolated incidences to have happened to this franchise. He said it then and now I see and realize that he wasn’t just talking *****. I’ll refer to what I mean by mentioning a few of the dust ups that we have had with other teams/players. One might of expected McDermott getting all twisted by our players “not following the process” or that they showed “lack of composure”. No, refreshingly he came right back with that he has no problem with his players sticking up for each other or by defending our turf. Matter of fact he came off with the impression of that was his expectations and that he’s alright with it. I like that, I like that a lot. Folks, that’s a leader and that is someone that you can get behind and believe in. Beane is the man man who had to make the decisions but he replaced players with players with mentalities that I dig. Ability aside has anyone notice that additions to the OL is with the type of players that are (A) are mostly younger players that are ready for the next level. (B) that the new additions in FA are the type of players that want more and feel like they have something to prove still and (C) the OL, most of them have a bit of a rep of having some nastiness to them (Teller, Feliciano etc and Morse seems to be an intense guy as well). When it comes to that last aspect don’t let Josh Allen fool you with that nice kid image, this guy wants to win and I personally believe that he just might have the biggest warrior mentality of them all! Lol! Staying with the offense for a minute here more I’d like to say that the WR position got pretty solidified here just recently but adding 1 big timeWR and possibility another piece or 2 could actually make this a dominate position group for us. Let me take this time and go on record and say at this time Robert Foster is by far my favorite WR on this team. I love everything about him, his mentality on and off the field, his commitment/attitude and oh yeah did I mention that this kid has some ability (enter heavy sarcasm here!). Yeah, when it comes to this position here we took some good steps forward. Tyler Kroft was a nice pick up here recently but the one TE that I’m anxious to see this year is Jason Croom. I think that he’s an exciting player and the best is yet to come with this young talent. Going to the defensive side of the ball our defense has a pretty solid foundation but it’s still a work in progress that needs a few more pieces to be added and this is the right draft for that to happen. I expect that if we stay at #9 in the draft we’ll address the DL ( my hope is Oliver) but hey, what do I know. I’ll throw ST inhere as well. We just got a Pro Bowl kick returner! Hello??? These are the smaller, unnoticed subtle moves that the outside can doesn’t know or realize what is going on in a team. So, in retrospect enough has been done recently with FA that I can feel like we really can take the BPA in the upcoming draft. Thanks Beane, I’m honestly confused now on who is going to be our first pick in the draft! Is going to be an edge rusher to Jerry Hughes & Co or is it going to be a DT to offset a bit the loss of Kyle Williams? Where I scoffed before when people suggested going TE with T.J. Hockenson??? Hey, after seeing the likes of Gronkowski tormenting us all these years and the importance of a Travis Kielce under an Andy Reid offense, who is sort of a mentor to McDermott, I can’t discount this notion anymore. Last but not least, although we heavily addressed the OL in FA, could OTs Jawaan Taylor or Jonah Williams be the pick? I wouldn’t want to but I wouldn’t hate it either. I guess that’s the beauty of The Magic Beane, his sorcery has us all hypnotized and when he snaps his fingers in the 1st rd of the draft we’ll all come out from under this trance. in closing I apologize for making this so lengthy and also making myself go blind in doing all this in a IPhone. I am going to buy myself a Braille IPad for future posts. Go Bills!

He endeared himself to many when he came out swinging about Buffalo’s image. I love how unapologetic and committed he is to the franchise, community and the fan base. He genuinely seems like he is on the best kept secret and loves it. It’s great to feel confident that this guy will get it right in the very near future and that he knows it. After this last week I’m totally on board with the Beane Man.

Is Poyer giving up his jersey # to Gore?

I just saw on twitter Gore’s Buffalo number being 21. I wonder if that’s accurate and if so how it went down.

Robert Foster stayed in Buffalo for offseason to train
Tipster19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this time Robert Foster is by far my favorite Bills’ WR on and off the field. I would love to see the Bills draft K’Neal Harry. If they did I would feel that our WR Corp would be complete. -
The Strategy of Signing Frank Gore
Tipster19 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not too many, if any at all, have more heart and the will to succeed than Frank Gore, bar none. If you want to be amazed then read about his personal life and his career. Not only did he come back from serious injury after serious injury in college but his mother is a complete train wreck. The thing that probably impressed me the most with him was in his first game in San Fran the 49’ers lost. When he left the locker room and went out to the parking lot he saw several of the players playing their music and just having a good old time. Frank Gore cried. -

Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell
Tipster19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please no. I’m not a fan at this point, I’d much rather draft a RB for the future. -
I would think it would take our 1st and 4th rd picks this year next year’s 2nd rd pick to get it. I definitely wouldn’t be on board with paying more than that and I would seriously have to think about giving that up.

At this point DeVante Parker makes sense to me.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was 1 other point that I wanted to make about this thought process. In lieu of the couple of big contracts that just happened or that are about to in FA for the OL position, I believe that it would be better for the Bills to draft at least 1 of them. Groom our own and have a reasonable contract for at least the next 4 years. If the Bills were able to add to the DL in FA or in a trade, it was rumored a few days ago that the Bills were going to make a “creative way” of securing a DL in a trade, whatever that is suppose to mean, then they would probably have to use their 1st rd pick on a prospect that they feel could be an anchor for the next several years. I don’t know if I really like this idea but if it were to be the case then I hope they take Florida OL Jawaan Taylor. Personally I’d much rather have us take any one of these 3 DL, Ed Oliver, Rashan Gary or Montez Sweat, with our #9 pick and draft a OL prospect like Erik McCoy or Dalton Risner in the 2nd rd. -
There’s no denying that Buffalo still has a big need in the WR department and either makes a move in FA, trade for one or use an early draft pick to address it. In FA there is 4 potential candidates imo, Golden Tate, Tyrell Williams, John Brown and Geronimo Allison. Take your pick but personally I don’t believe that our answer lies within any of them. There is a few other names out there that are even more remote, aka Kevin White, Chris Conley, Corradelle Patterson, Mike Wallace, Randall Cobb etc etc. Trading for one comes the obvious candidates in Antonio Brown ( we all know what happened there), ODJ, Julio Jones and AJ Green. This leads me to think that not only DeVante Parker is way under the radar but if the Bills were to be interested in Parker than it would be better to trade for him (a 5th rder?) rather than wait for him to get cut by the Dolphins and then have to compete with other teams to sign him. Then comes the option of drafting one. I don’t believe that there is a WR worthy of taking one with the #9 pick overall and I hope that the Bills feel the same way. If this assessment is at all accurate then this would lead one to believe that one would be obtained (A) by a trade down in the 1st rd. I’d much rather reinforce our DL at #9 and find another way to obtain one. (B) taking one with our 2nd rder or (C) coupling up our 2nd rder with another pick to move up. I’m not an advocate of this theory simply because the earlier picks are just too valuable imo. I honestly believe trading for Parker would be the most cost efficient way of filling this position of need. If anybody disagrees about Parker or how the Bills should resolve this position then I would love to hear then who it should be, how it should get done and why. Thanks in advance. Go Bills!

What I would like to see the Bills do going forward
Tipster19 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok, I like this post. I didn’t want to start a new post about this next point so I’ll put it into this one. I made a post several days ago about the Bills potentially being players for OBJ. Since then they were associated with possibly trading for Antonio Brown and I have seen people around here suggesting Julio Jones and A.J. Green, all the big time WRs in today’s game. Regardless of which one I think that if Buffalo were to add another G AND RT (Williams off James) than trading for 1 of these WRs (sans Brown) using the #9 pick overall and somevother compensation would not be farfetched imo. A revamped OL, Josh in his 2nd year, adding TE Kraft coupled with what I believe will be the emergence of Croom and fortifying the RB position would make this a pretty efficient offense but would need that 1 big time WR to make the rest of our young WRs even more effective. Now the flip side while all that comes into play if the Bills don’t trade for a stud WR then they will, IMO, defat a top prospect. Hopefully they don’t use their 1st rd pick on one, and I don’t think that they do, then Ivwould like to see them use their 2nd rder on one. Now if they feel that the 2nd rder wouldn’t be early enough to grab a top prospect then I wouldn’t be against them adding a 3rd or a 4th rder to move up earlier to grab some one like K’Neal Harry. The other thing that I think might have been better for them in the future cap situation would have been to only have given Morse a 3 year contract and then drafted someone like Erik McCoy with one of 3rd rder. This would have served a twofold benefit. The first thing is McCoy I believe is quality and can also play G, so adding him not only for the versatility but also the depth. Secondly a 3 year contract for Morse would be plenty of time to know if (a) he can stay healthy and (b) that he’s good fit/ability. Signing McCoy to a 4 year deal would give the Bills better leverage when it comes to a new contract for Morse. If both end up playing with great ability then the Bills could cash 1 of them out for trade value. That’s how the more successful franchises keep their train rolling. Just some thoughts. This is by far my favorite part and time of the NFL. Go Bills! -
According to Profootballtalk there just might be some fire to this smoke. Pittsburgh should thank the Raiders for taking these 2 malcontents off of their hands. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/03/10/will-the-raiders-target-leveon-bell-next/

[Vague Title] The Night's Watch
Tipster19 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I couldn’t agree more. It’s total bs that everything about Buffalo got trashed because of some ego ####### who doesn’t want to play here. Go ask Shady what he thinks of Buffalo. Here’s a guy that got blindsided in a trade and “got sent to Buffalo”. I love the letter of dedication that he wrote at the end of the 2017 season. He bought in and others had and has bought in as well. I agree, build the biggest, baddest snot dripping hogs for the OL and call them “The Wall”. Then go out there and smash every ***** out there that ridiculed our organization and region. In addition I want to say that I hope and think that Beane took this personal. I like him, I think that he’s totally committed and not just from a personal standpoint but more importantly from a community standpoint. He strikes me as someone who is unapologetic and could care less what others on the outside think and that he has no problem striking back and wanting others to realize why. No quit, no surrender. The mantra of us against the world never fit so well. Btw, I LOVE the picture! Go Bills!
