  1. When you talk about character then you talk about McDermott. I believe in his intensity and focus. His commitment is second to none and I could go bible when I talk about him. Proverbs 24:10 is what comes to mind. “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” I’m not worried about this team. Have faith, we’re in good hands and we won’t fail. It’s not the end results that is rewarding, it’s the journey, it builds character and character is what sustains. Our future is bright, the road is rocky but we’re gonna get there and when we do it will be joyous. Go Bills!
  2. Wow, just what we needed! I don’t get how renegotiating a contract can restore one’s health. I like Ritchie, was proud to have him but I for one never believed in black mail. Let him retire and if he is bluffing then see if he’s tradable. If all the twitter tweets are accurate then I don’t see the value of having him on the team, and the operative word there is team, anymore. McBeane, regardless if they are going about it right, wrong or indifferent, and I will withhold my opinion on that for the time being, need to finish what they started and that is complete the roster with their players, not leftovers. Get the cheap contracts and get players that they can mold to their way of thinking and culture. At this time I don’t think moving up for a QB would be the best way to go in the draft. Use the capital that is available to fill the holes that this roster is continuously creating. I still believe in grabbing a QB (Rudolph/Jackson?) but only at our slotted picks. I also wonder if the Bills are done trading as well, this could be another possibility at this time.
  3. They could get their QB of choice and get Barkley. They most certainly have the draft capital to do it. Maybe Giants would be interested in that especially if the Bills were willing to trade with them for that #4 pick. The Giants would get massive draft compensation if they wanted to do something like that.
  4. Wow, this guy doesn’t have the best of luck! A) Trades Sammy for EJ, looks like EJ is gonna walk in free agency. Sammy plays 1 year for the Rams and then lands a monster contract with the Chiefs. B) Trades back in last year’s 1st rd and the Chiefs promptly lands Mahomes who looks like he is going to be a stud and we stay stuck with Tyrod. Now we pick up draft capital but probably not enough to land a franchise QB of our own. At least we got TreDavious out of it. C) Trades Ronald Darby for Jordan Matthews. We all know how that worked out, Darby ends up going to a Super Bowl winning team and Matthews gets injured in the first 15 minutes in his first practice with the Bills and once again looks like another player that we traded for is going to walk in free agency once again. Oh, let me be fair about this, we did get a 3rd rd pick out of this fiasco. D) Let’s trade again! We traded Reggie Ragland, a 2nd rd pick, to once again the Chiefs. We are Kansas City’s greatest asset! They make all kinds of moves of shedding big contracts on aging veterans and replacing them with potentially great young players with cheap contracts and all because we are great enablers! What is it with us and these !@#$ing Chiefs??!!! E) We shed ourselves of a horrendous contract by offing Marcel Dareus, another high draft pick, #3 overall for a bag of peanuts when all the while we are left with Adolphus Washington, a proven idiot who openly plays around with a gun in front of a police officer. Now I do understand moving Dareus but man the return on our dollars from the last few drafts have been pennies! F) Don’t stop me, just call me butter because I’m on a roll. Once again another trade! This time we couple our 1st rd pick with our starting LT, yes a starting LT, to move up to get in position to grab a franchise QB but it may not be enough. Now I get it, Cordy can’t stay healthy and has a big fat contract but he is a starting LT ( have I mentioned that yet??). G) I love the thought behind it, rewarding a Pro Bowl C who is eternally loyal to the franchise with a nice big extension but ends up out of the blue with a career ending injury by season’s end and now have a real quandry on his hands on how to resolve this !@#$ing abortion of a move. H) Well, if you don’t succeed at first at trading for a WR then let’s try again! Our brain trust goes out and trades with and for an organization and player that he is familiar and comfortable with in Kelvin Benjamin. Now I like Benjamin and still thinks that he’ll be a great player for us but man we no sooner get him he lands up getting hurt and has to play out the bulk of the season for us injured, no where’s able to play up to his capabilities! All I want to know at this point is who in the hell has got it in for us??!!! Enough is enough! I) Well, now the latest. The guy, last year’s 2nd rd pick, that is going to be our bright star at the WR position suddenly is found running around stark naked screaming that he is fighting for God just before he attempts to jump out a 30th floor window. Listen folks, I’m not making any of this **** up. What the hell is going on around here??!!! Maybe we should blow our wad of draft picks on a QB so we can eliminate numerous mistakes and just keep it to one! Go Bills???
  5. Who knows what is really gonna happen. There’s so many twists and turns , too many moving parts are going on. Under Whaley’s watch one could anticipate many of the moves that we’re going to unfold but under Beane it’s a whole other story. This guy is a other story. For the most part the best that I can understand with him is that he inherited someone else’s game plan and he pretty much deconstructed it completely and is going about rebuilding it from the ground up the best he can. He’s not afraid to make the bold move, getting rid of anyone and everyone, ridding the franchise of stupid contracts, unsavory attitudes of players and players who don’t fit his vision. The best I can figure out with this guy is once the slate is cleared he is and will tend to lean on the conservative side. I don’t expect him to be flamboyant with the draft capital, maybe moving up just a few slots if there is a QB that he really seems to be that franchise guy but other than that he’ll just go about filling in the holes that are on this team. After this season I’d be surprised if there is anyone left on the roster from the previous regime and that includes Shady, Richie and Jerry. I’m expecting eventually for us to be Carolina North, nothing fancy, heavy on defense, conservative on offense. Remember, McBeane aren’t in a hurry, they don’t need to make any rash decisions, they expect to be here a long time and once everything is reset with the financial structure (after the 2018 season) they will have blue skies and clear sailing on doing exactly what they want to do without having any influence from the past mistakes, they will be allowed to make their own, if any at all. So with all that being said I’m not gonna torture myself anymore. This is all gonna take some time to unfold. They are not gonna do all of this on my time but instead they have their own agenda. It is exciting to see what is going to happen in this upcoming draft and I’m just going to set myself up to expect the unexpected and watch to see where the chips are going to fall.
  6. This is not good. It seems like people aren’t paying enough attention to this signing but they should. Patterson has unique athletic abilities and pairing him with Belichick makes a wee bit concerned.
  7. After the Jets traded up today to the #3 spot what do you think Denver might do from the #5 spot? Do they stand pat or do they try and move up in front of the Jets? I really don’t know if they need or want to but I would like to hear other opinions on this. i made another post several days ago stating that the Bills would have to trade up with the Browns for the #1 pick overall to guarantee themselves of the QB that they would want. I was apprehensive of the Jets and Broncos in particular, and other teams, of leapfrogging to a higher position in the draft. Now that the Jets set some kind of a bench mark the cost for the Bills to trade up to the #1 overall would be astronomical. I don’t think that it’s really possible to do so and if it is I for one wouldn’t want to see them do it personally.
  8. I don’t think so but he was a Florida Gator though.
  9. Thanks, I appreciate that. I lived in Fort Myers for 21+ years and then we moved to Augusta, GA for the last 3 year’s. We just moved back to Cape Coral, a man made island just off of Fort Myers. When I was here last I believe you’re right, it was called Gators and it was on Colonial Blvd/Veronica Shoemaker.
  10. If we re-sign Deonte Thompson and got Travis Benjamin (Kelvin’s cousin) we would have 3 WRs from Belle Glade, FL and that’s not a bad thing, those kids down there catch rabbits on foot.
  11. I’ll say this, I wasn’t wrong about the members on this message board and that’s NOT a rumor it’s a fact! Even Mr Weo who I was so rude to was pretty darn cool about my bonehead blunder. Thanks guys, you all have made me feel a bit better about being the village idiot. Go Bills!
  12. Just saying, the Rams are looking to move Tavon Austin and I’m thinking that it wouldn’t take all that much to get him. It would be ironic if the Bills did get him, seeing that we traded back in that draft with them so they could draft him and we took EJ.
  13. Ok I just got home and to my horror I saw that I passed on some total bs. I owe everyone an apology and if it makes anybody feel better I won’t post for quite some time. I’m sorry this happened, I promise you that I wasn’t trying to mislead anyone. I was passed along something that I thought was very believable so I was trying to make people feel better and not keep everyone in torment. I put myself out there, knowing darn well that even if it came true I was still going to get bashed and if it was erroneously incorrect I was putting myself on the firing line. I still don’t regret making a statement that I believe in, regardless of the consequences. That’s alright though because I know that the majority of the members here aren’t mean or hateful, it’s just a few that get so vile. I stand accountable, I’m not going to not stand up to it, I rightfully deserve criticism and I’m sincere enough to accept that. Once again I’m sorry, it wasn’t never my intention to mislead any of you, and I will rightfully stand on the sidelines for awhile and just root for our favorite team. Go Bills!
  14. You know what, I can do that. I’m sorry that I lashed back and showed no class. I won’t make excuses or alibis, I’m disappointed in myself.
  15. Oh God I hope that this comes to fruition!
  16. No bro, I might be a lot of things but one thing that I’m not, I’m not a liar. This whole DMV thing really happened. Now does it come to fruition, while I guess we’ll all find out soon enough. All the posts that I have made I never quote anyone, it’s totally has always just my opinion. Go back and check if you like and you’ll find out that I’m telling you the truth. As as far as anybody attacking people for having an opinion or making a comment is total bs. If people don’t like a person or that person’s opinion or comments then don’t read his threads, what else can I say. there is one thing that the DMV guy said and that is when I asked him if he ever goes to our message board he says that he does but only reads it. He said that he made 5 posts but people here like to attack each other so he’s out on posting. I wonder how many other people feel like that...
  17. I just moved back to Fort Myers, FL (Sammy’s hometown) and I had to register my vehicle from out of state. The guy at the DMV that helped me is from Buffalo. His cousin still owns a bar up in Buffalo, he didn’t say which one and truthfully I really don’t care, and he said that Buffalo is making a trade with the Eagles for Nick Foles today after 4:00 pm. After thinking about it it makes sense for several reasons. First a team doesn’t trade away their starting QB without having a plan for his replacement. Secondly it’s been awful quiet concerning Foles. To take this a step further the guy says that we’re not drafting a QB in the first round, meaning that our draft capital is going to be to be used on building this team. He did not say what the compensation is going to be but I couldn’t imagine it using the bulk of our resources. Take it for what it is worth, I’m just trying to share what I heard but this does make a ton of sense. Go Bills!
  18. Whoa, I like that thinking all the more! 3 teams win, not a bad concept!
  19. The more time that passes and the Bills don’t do anything to address the QB position the more it convinces me that they definitely have a plan in place. I mean who gets rid of their starting QB and not have one in place?? Before anyone suggests that whatever rookie that is suppose to be taken in the draft, none of them are projected to be NFL ready right out of the gate. Is Peterman suppose to start?? I think not. Are the remaining FA QBs the answer? I would think not because that would be like writing off the season even before the season starts. Trading for Foles wouldn’t be hateful, maybe that’s the plan but looking at where the Colts are at in the draft (#3 overall pick) and all the draft capital that we have why couldn’t we make a run at Luck? Between last year’s publicity (team propaganda) and having a lunatic owner in Irsay I would say that anything is possible. Already having the #3 pick overall and all the prime draft picks that we could provide, the Colts would sure be able to address a lot of their team’s weaknesses. So far McBeane has shown they are not at all intimidated by making big decisions.
  20. The other teams that secured QBs are still in the market, Cleveland, Denver and the Jets, and are in striking distance of leapfrogging the #3 pick. Buffalo is suddenly short on options and if they have 1 particular QB in mind then they better not fool around and jeopardize their opportunity of securing a franchise QB.
  21. I know that that someone else posted about Cutler several days ago but I went back several pages and couldn’t find it. I kept on getting phone calls and it was freezing up my phone so if the mods want to merge this then be my guest. We’re running out of valid options and regardless of what people think of Cutler he is as good as anything else that is out there at this time.
  22. I like your thinking!
  23. Excellent point and great point! I love the insight, very refreshing to read a big time angle on contaract theory/roster building. Thanks for posting. ???
  24. Nope. What Ian saying that trade up to #12 might not be just to get in a better position to continue to trade up into the top 3 or 4 picks to get a QB. What if the Bills were to trade back a little bit with the #12 pick so they accumale a few more prime picks and take a QB a little bit later in the draft. If that were to ever happen the Bills would be able to draft about half a team with young top prospects. Let’s really take this concept to the max and imagine that they did trade back a bit for a few more prime picks and NOT draft a QB at all but instead make a deal for a premiere top FA QB like Brees or Cousins! If that were to happen then I would expect the Bills to be in the Super Bowl by year 2! Go Bills!
