  1. Which Tahous' location is better? I hear the original is filthy, but the new one doesn't taste as good...
  2. Thanks- I was unsure what to do about breakfast, but I will check this out for the pepper and egg sandwich, on our way to Tuesday's practice. Great tip. I think I'm going to have to plan another trip out to Buffalo just to eat at half of these places. You guys sound spot-on with all these great local flavors to eat at, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!
  3. This is great guys, thank you for your time. And no, I will not be going anywhere near a golden arch or BK, I really want to experience the regional specialties. And Mighty Taco, I almost forgot about that one, that's definitely on my list now. I have heard great things. Is it comperable to Moe's Southwest Grill? We have a Moe's about an hour from my house in Binghamton, are they similar or is Mighty Taco much better? And I've heard of Ted's hot dogs, but don't understand... is it just dogs they have? I enjoy a good dog now and then, but is it just fantastic dogs and people embraced it, or is there more to it? I've heard of it enough that it's definitely on my maybe list. Thanks again guys.
  4. Wow, better than Dino BBQ, that's a bold statement. This is worth investigating further, because Dino is my favorite restaraunt out of anywhere, but I go to the Syracuse one, not Rochester.
  5. Hah a lot of great advice, I think my trip is starting to take shape, I think I will hit Tahous before practice on Monday, then make our way out to Buffalo afterwards to see the ship yard Orchard Park to see the stadium (any chance they let people in to see around, or is it on lockdown like everything else in the world is now?) and then the Bar-Bill Tavern for dinner, then back to Batavia for the smokehouse, and the hotel. Noon practice Tuesday and then back to Buffalo to hit up Anchor and Schwebls/Steve's, with some sight seeing mixed in the middle. Do you think I can pencil in a stop at your finest WNY cardiac care unit for the heart attack I'm about to have, or do you think I should just disreguard that?
  6. I have been to Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, and your right on the money with this recommendation, it's by far the best BBQ food I have ever had.. and thanks for the info on the garbage plate, I have heard about it, but didn't know who had it so thanks. I will look for it.
  7. Thanks for the info guys, I will be checking these out. As far as what type of experience i'm looking for, I'm not necessarily picky on that, I just want to enjoy the western NY staples where they say if you've been to WNY, you have to go to. That could mean an incredible steakhouse, wings, weck, italian food, or even pizza. Whatcha Got?
  8. Eeww, I wouldn't even call her maybe okay at throwing a baseball... did anyone see this first pitch?
  9. Yeah I know SJF is in Rochester, we plan on doing some driving and since Rochester is so far from us, we figured let's go a little bit further and hit some of the spots that we've been wanting to try. That's the reason why we got the place in Batavia, because we looked on a map and it seemed like a decent distance between our Rochester stop and our Buffalo visits. And thanks for the tip about Applebees. I'm not really into driving 4-5 hours to eat at a place I could drive 5 minutes to where I live haha. I hear they DO have a Dave and Buster's too, though, so all will not be lost haha.
  10. In 2 weeks, me and a friend of mine are driving from an area between Albany and Binghamton, and will be attending the training camps at SJF on the 29th and 30th. We got a hotel in Batavia and plan on hitting up some of the good hot spots for eating in the area. I wanted to know what you guys recommended in terms of where to go. We're already planning on hitting the Buffalo Brew Pub since it's on our way to Buffao from Batavia anyways, but I'm looking for some good advice. I've only been to WNY once and it was a drive-through on the way to Niagra Falls. This will be my first Bills-related trip ever, as I have never been to a game, either, so if you have any advice about SJF too it would be really appreciated. The only things that I have read on here reguarding the topic is that the Anchor isn't top dog for wings, that's just the tourist place so I don't want that. And if I'm looking for a good beef on weck, they're pretty easy to find at any restaraunt so I don't need to seek it out, necessarily. Thanks for any help you can provide!
  11. Interesting, but safe to say that the college FA # will be dropped down to about 2 after the roster cutdowns, and the FA and Waivers will be cut in half, I'm thinking. I think we just keep Da'Rick and either the LB from Richmond or Robey, the CB from USC, and try to PS the loser between the Richmond LB and Robey, and Kaufmann. Stronger chance than usual that we keep all 8 draft picks, as the 6th rounder is a Kicker and 7th is a TE at a position of low talent/numbers.
  12. He's the one in the group that plays in the NFL and he's not the one who gets away?? That alone should be reason to be cut... and maybe sign the driver.
  13. I heard he was on and Ross Tucker tweated out his being impressed with him. How can I hear this, anyone know of anywhere online where it can be found?
  14. I would say that Aaron Williams has more game and ball skills than he has been able to show at corner and should be an actual asset to the D at safety. Darius seems to get a lot of unnecessary heat here for not as many game breaking plays as a #3 pick should be making, but I believe he is solid and should make a good step forward with such a more attacking defense around him. I believe I heard on the Murphy show a few weeks ago that PFF or one of those analytics sites had him as a top 20 DT or something, and that was with probably the most vanilla scheme in the league.
  15. We already fixed our fits problem, he plays for Tenn now.
  16. Interesting knowledge, I always had him pegged as somewhat of a catcher but never heard it confirmed.
  17. Fitz went to Harvard? I would think we would have heard more about this...
  18. Hey, I has this idea and I can make this into a 3 page post but I'll instead keep it short. CJ Spiller would obviously run better behind a line whose strength was run blocking, as every running back would. However, is it actually better to have someone like Spiller play behind an offensive line whose strength was actually PASS blocking because it would allow him to stay on the field a little more on 3rd downs? Spiller is weak in blitz pickup even though he has obviously improved, so if he played with a stout pass blocking OL who could be counted on to handle their business with blocking blitzers, his shortcomings would not be as exposed and could slip out in passing routes (where he is an electric receiver) or HB delay runs (where he would be running against 7 men in the box). He is skilled enough at eluding tacklers (I believe I heard a stat last year where he lead the league in broken tackles but can't prove it) so he could make up for the lack of elite run blocking, but that's just a theory and can't really be proven. What do you guys think?
  19. The Cowboys have not drafted well recently so I'm not looking to their draft board as the true measure of a player's skill, but this wouldn't fall only on JJ's poor drafting (lately). They I'm sure have many scouts, I would be interested to know the dynamics that 1.) Pushed him down their draft board to the 4th round when he was widely considered a late first-early second, top 3-4 QB in the draft, and conversely 2.) What did the Bills see differently to push him into the 1st round? Perhaps the Cowboys didn't meet him in person, which is what seemed to sell people on him. I know each QB had different strengths, different systems, blah blah, but just interesting to see the significant disparity in each organization's evaluations of the same player.
  20. DaRick Rogers and Kiko Alonso --> Weedie and Buzz And this is kinda dumb but I'm wondering if, since there's the talk about introducing elements of the old "K-Gun" (whether they even do all that much or not), has anyone mentioned calling it the "J-Gun" from all the "J" named guys on offense?
  21. We should probably get of this Marrone joke, I mean how are they not getting a talent like Rogers involved in the offense at this point??
  22. Why do you say absolute NO to Tuel? I just watched this, and although it was HIGHLIGHTS, he really seems to have a strong arm and makes all the throws that Fitz couldn't, which is the finesse go routes over the defender and hitting your man in stride. If they can store him on PS he would be a great get, but if he progresses well in camp I could almost justify cutting the loser of the Kolb-Jackson battle with Manuel as obvious #2 guy.
  23. I specifically remember he called the Gailey hire just before they even announced a press conference to announce the suprise new HC, so yes he survived the purge. I think I remember looking into his post history a little while ago and it appears a poster or 2 and him (her?) Got into an argument about a year and a half ago or so and NGU hasn't posted since.
