  1. Buddy Nix loses his double-beer can helmet and spends the entire first round frantically looking for it, while Whaley makes the first selection, ala Thurman and Davis.
  2. Wow I had no idea Nassib was so old. Definitely off his bandwagon now, geez.
  3. I hate the idea of trading back up after trading down, we would have gotten a lot of value from this trade, I don't like the idea of lessening that immediately. Especially with the projected players we would get from this trade.
  4. Yeah, Stevie. Stop having fun and showing a personality when your not playing a GAME that we all are too invested in and take too seriously. Sincerely, The First Down Marker Up Our Ace Group. PS great Tweet Stevie, anyone with a sense of humor enjoyed it. At least us on the Buffalo side of this rivalry did anyways haha.
  5. I imagine McKelvin was a lower priority than Levitre, but when he was out of their price range, this was the choice. Maybe the gap between Reinhardt and Levitre was smaller than A. Williams/ Brooks and McKelvin, and the price to get ba B+ player as replacement was much more for CB than G, whether through draft or FA...? I have to assume that they are not looking to save nickels and dimes here and there at the cost of winning, as I don't get that vibe with this new regime. But rest assured people will imply that the team is trying harder to save money than win...
  6. I don't know what this means... are you implying that the Patriots are inept? Haven't they had probably northward of a .750 winning percentage the last decade and a half? And no known locker room problems... there is nothing inept about them at all, and I HATE them, but they are one of the most EPT teams in pro sports haha
  7. Well #1 no way does he just get released, they definitely find a trade partner for him and get something in return, or call his bluff and he sits... but secondly, how much are we willing to pay to our new #2 WR who is a big body and can make catches while covered? About 7 mil? Wouldn't that almost get it done, plus we could grab a WR in the deep class by round 3 and bam, quality passing game. Oh except for that pesky QB thing...
  8. I'd like to know who the heck thinks Fred is an "Average" backup... we've all seen what he can do, i'm not even going to list it. For this year and next, he's one of the top backups in football. Beyond that I think age hits him, but for now we're set here (still need a 3rd guy for developing and to take over for fred in a year or 2 though)
  9. Ok so we have Stevie, TJ Graham, and... Brad Smith? Did we just get one of the worst WR corps in the league?? Why make holes on a roster already with many of them. What was tender, even? Probably have been kept for 1.4 or 1.8 mil. I try to keep an open mind, but I really don't like this one. If we are going with a younger QB than a TE is supposidly their best friend, and Nelson gets open in the short and mid range like a TE and blocks relatively well. And now I can see him going to NE potentially since Belichek wanted him as an UDFA when he came out. Bad move all around.
  10. There have been numerous reports including interviews he gave yesterday explaining that he is there to meet with the agents of their UFA they wish to retain, much as he did last year with Stevie's agents. This is nothing to get upset about, calm down.
  11. We do not have a 7th round pick. And I just don't see Nassib falling to 3rd which would mean past most of the QB needy teams 3x before we can get him.
  12. Really good Bills career transforming from lower round pick to special teams pro bowler, working his way onto defense to be one of best on Bills at a point in his career. Really appreciate his hard work and success. But the time is right for this.
  13. At 1:02 when they're analyzing the run, do they say "... and there's Marrone out in front..." or am I hearing things? Didn't realize he played for Raiders.
  14. Addressed only to the offensive players- Chan left the messaging of the defensive players to George Edwards, and he tried to change it from a carrier pigeon to carrier penguin, couldn't find the right penguins to do the switch, and ended up failing.
  15. Yep he's pointing the gun at his own head, and saying if we continue losing, pull the trigger. Gets the pressure off of others around him.
  16. I believe I heard that he changed up his defensive philosophy in the more recent years, away from that terrible Tampa-2 defense. If he wants to bring the Tampa-2 defense here, no way, no thanks.
  17. The Chip Kelly idea is intriguing, but could this mean a shuffling of our OL since doesn't he prefer OLmen on the smaller side for his up-tempo style, more along the 285 area, which is the opposite of what all of our current OL are?? I don't want to rebuild the OL, we just built it. I hope he would be able to work with what's already here. I know i'm not completely knowledgable about his styles, but these are my concerns based on what I have seen.
  18. Lazy statement. Lovie Smith is a legitimate HC candidate, not just a required interview candidate like Crennell or (who the heck was our DC in late 90's and went to SD with the regime change? Blanking on name)
  19. We shouldn't forget about safety, they were looking for a 4th safety at the start of the year but they never really emerged. Now Wilson is another year older and not making the game changing plays he used to, and there's the possibility that Byrd is not here next year. So even if Williams moves to safety, we need to get someone else back there to strengthen, whether it's a FA or R. But remember, I think we only have 6 picks this year, no 7th rounder because of the Tavaris Jackson trade. I can almost guarantee we will get no compensatory picks since we added more (Williams, Anderson) than we subtracted (Bell, Parrish)
  20. I wish Wade would be the choice, but obviously it would never happen. This defense has the tools to be good, Wade would be perfect to sharpen it. I'm not sure about his touch on the offensive side of the ball, we would need a strong OC and Wade would focus more on the D, like the over-emphasis model Chan does with O vs. D. Would Modkins be ready to call the offense on his own? Wait... Wade probably would want to go back to 3-4... nevermind.
  21. I know he's currently employed and his team is still in it, but if they fall out and Jerry gets antsy and goes after a BIG NAME, maybe Jason Garrett could be an option? The idea of Jay Gruden is interesting too, and though I would hate it but it would match their 'promote from within' theory, we should be including Curtis Modkins, Wannstedt, and maybe even Joe D, who has already been mentioned once.
