I think that if we kept Poz, we might not have gotten Barnett, so even though I liked him, it's probably for the best. -
From Philly: Demetress Bell

Do we really need to make this joke EVERY time we bring up the LT position? It was faintly funny the first time it was made, probably 6 months ago. At least the Ralph is cheap joke is done in obvious tongue-in-cheek manner. This is just tiring to read. -
Nate Solder Should be Suspended

It sure would be a shame if they were to lose one of their better O-linemen for our game... he probably appeals it though and gets to play against us. -
WGR App: Is it shut down during the game?
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to buffalopdc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The WGR app is terrible, at least for Droid. It rarely works anymore, the only thing it's good for is checking the audio vault for an interview here or there... and even then it only works 50/50 anymore. TuneIn has WGR550 on their listings, works incredibly better. -

I'm rooting for Easley to turn is potential into on the field performance as much as anybody, but let's get it straight that Easley and Johnson are completely opposite types of players in terms of experience coming out of college. Stevie came out of Kentucky being a main option in a pass heavy system, so he had much experience, but lacked a true A+ feature like speed or size, and fell in the draft. Easley came out of nowhere, got very few reps until his senior year, and I believe they were a run-first offense but I could be wrong, so he doesn't have the inherant knowledge and experience that Stevie already had, whether he was sitting on PS or sidelines next to Jauron. -
Kellen Heard to the Rams

That settles it. Cut Kyle Williams, Marcel Darius, Nick Barnett, Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Leodis McKelvin and Terrence Mcgee. -
Good man. Once again, app was not working, but pulled up my tunein app and got it. Thanks. Shoulda thought of it myself. Usually Tunein makes sports feeds blocked, at least they did for some Yankee games I tried to listen to on 880 awhile ago.

Yeah, www.wgr550.com has a listen now button, that will work. I usually listen to WGR on my android app, but for some reason it has been really buggy lately, can't catch much of the John Murphy Show without it telling me it's playing but no audio... Nevermind, it's not my thread haha... yes, website version of WGR will work for you.

Bills Release Merriman!
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could this be to keep someone else at DE who has looked as good, but younger (higher ceiling)? Who else is surging at DE? Carrington is at DT, kid from USC looking okay? Any ideas? At work now so don't have roster in front of me to make educated guess (so why am I even posting?? Hah) -

Its time to resign Byrd, Levitre and Urbik
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alright Ralph, please stay off our boards haha... We should be more concerned about the words Younger and Better, cheaper is for other people to worry about. -
TJ and CJ are faster... Donald, Dorin and Fred are as fast. :-P

should we make a play for Mike Wallace
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to The Tomcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes the majority of us think he would be a good upgrade of the WRs, and if he could be had for a 2nd rounder that's in the 20's next year, would be a good bargin for a young (25 year old?) WR, but you have to consider what his contract would be on a new deal. Factor in what Buddy just said a couple days ago, about us in the future getting to a point where we will lose quality players because we just can't afford them, I don't think it's possible they trade for someone else's talent and give him money that if there, would be more deservedly be given to Byrd or Levitre, or as we all hope, both. That would take a couple bricks out of the foundation that they have been preaching about keeping their young guys and rewarding them. I know, the Mario thing happened and to a lesser extent, the Anderson signing too, but I think they were outliers, a Mike Wallace move would be completely different, I feel. -

Hah I think it's funny how you claim not racist but then say that the only way she would have met a black, mexican, asian or indian person was if they were a poolboy, landscaper, gardener... -
the 4 keys to the season (all start with "M")
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to loserlovers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's pretty easy to say that McOrty Glenn is the biggest difference-maker among those 4 players you listed... the talent level behind McGee has been fortified substantially by Williams, Gilmore, Rogers and Brooks, and McKelvin is starting-quality too. Marriman is now the 3rd best pass rusher on the defense (4th or 5th if Kyle and Marcel get singled for clean looks at qb now), so if he does nothing, we're still doing alright. Easley is among a handful of players who can either claim the #2wr spot or slide all the way to #6 and off the roster. Glenn, though, will probably be given the LT job if he even ties Hairston, so his ability to get it done on sundays will effect this team the most among these 4. -
The title "Why X is the most important player on the Bills" is just the name of the series, on that blog, where they explain how each player is important to the Bills this year, a series which has already included people like Chris Hairston, who are obviously not the most important players. With that said, I might say Fitz is a hair more important than Fred and I'm a big Fred fan, just because the larger role of QB's and the negative impact of having a bad one starting, and the related dropoff behind and significantly less dropoff behind Fred to CJ.

Surely there are people who disagree with this statement, but I can't believe I would actually agree with this statement, back when the hiring was announced 2 years ago. We really made a good choice, or I should say Buddy did. Hasn't been proven in the w/l column, but I think most Bills fans agree. And to get most Bills fans to agree on something is really no small feat.
