  1. does anyone even know if Law is ok? His injury has only been beaten by 2 players and like I posted before, they were both under 25. He is good, but he may not be well enough to actually play. Last time I checked he was just barely out of a wheelchair and still on crutches. Do you really see him lining up against even a 2nd tier receiver and "crutching" his way to a defensive stop?
  2. Thank tipster, yeah it made me feel a lot better too. I think TD experienced some growing pains in his first few years here, but we seem to be on the right track. Don't forget if it werent for a couple bad plays last year we would have been a playoff team. Hopefully we can keep the careless plays from JP to a minimum, cut out the big plays on D and I think we will be ok. Like everyone here says, don't expect a ton from JP, but then again, don't expect him to fumble around and be useless, he WILL step up next year and I expect him to go to be big for us.
  3. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft2.html I have found these guys to be decent, they have the Cards targetting a RB in the 2nd rd. The trade would both obviate the need for them to target a RB, I tihnk this goes down.
  4. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/3505276 Just for all you who hate losing Jonas
  5. umm, are we sure there are a lot of future HOFers drafted on the 2nd day lately? Post hoc ergo propter hoc.
  6. The movie will be studied in film schools for years. Really amazing. However, if you dont have a STRONG stomach for violence, gore and graphic language DO NOT watch it. There is no way you will ike it if you are sensitive at all. Mickey Rourke did a great job btw. My favorite character in the movie. Who was yours?
  7. he reminds me of me, 3 years ago... Cept he says it and its true! LOL
  8. One of the coolest things is the conclave, which is the papl election proceeding. All the electors are sealed into a room and vote until a 2/3 +1 majority is reached. They communicate the results of every vote to the outside world through smoke signals, black smoke meaning a vote was inconclusive and white smoke annoucing the election of the new pope. http://www.answers.com/topic/papal-election is a good site giving some general knowledge about the process. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/1999/pope/selection/ is also good. Interestingly enough the new pope may continue the rarity of a non-Italian pope and may actually be from outside of Europe. Cardinals from Africa and Latin America, the 2 biggest concentrations of Catholics in the world are among the favorites. However, as the famous saying goes "he who enters the conclave as pope, leaves as cardinal", meaning that politics often proves to knock off the favorites.
  9. I agree. Green says he wont give up a pick, but swapping 2nd rounders would not break his word.
  10. MC is about as likely to want to take a back seat to someone as he is to actually make it in the NFL. The kid was a prima donna and Im glad he got his.
  11. Gandy does NOT start, please oh please dont do that to me.
  12. pac man for the cards? Id lean towards Smith/Rodgers if they were still on the board.
  13. am I the only one that thinks upgrading our run blocking more important this year than pass protection? Once McGahee has the defense on its heels, Losman will have a much easier time passing. Even if his pass blocking isnt that great, Mularkey uses a different blocking scheme than other coaches were run blocking is much more important even on pass plays and has running backs and even receivers chip block players on the edges.
  14. what a remarkably ignorant post. Why didnt we do what, cut people till we had room to sign one EXHORBITANTLY priced tackle? Yeah that makes sense. We're gonna have Anderson at LG, Teague at LT and draft a C. If the trade goes through teague can stay put and Shelton is LT. The line is fine. Im sure youre also upset we didnt trade half our defense for Randy Moss cause our offense would have been great if we had him and moulds and evans. Come on. This move allowed us to take a non OL in the 2nd and pickup a backup in the 3rd.
  15. yeah I hope he falls to the 2nd, I just wanted people to see this
  16. Veronica Mars is on the chopping black and may not be renewed for next year.
  17. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/8334953 I know things happen, but with this ranking I have doubts about picking him up even with the Cards pick in the 2nd. What do you think?
  18. If the top 3 qbs are gone, watch for the Cards to go for whoever is left in the White/Rodgers sweepstakes and cave to the pressure.
  19. I'm telling you I wouldnt be surprised to see him in a Bills uniform. But I dont think we would spend a 2nd rounder on him. If we're trying to move up it's because we want Baas or another OG. Although I have heard that there are still very good OGs available in the 3rd rd. Jones in that case would be great for us.
  20. was second string that movie about the Buffalo Bills qb who was an ex-ND player? Teri Polo was his wife? Worst acting I've ever seen in a movie. Plus the guy looked more like a Monday morning QB than a real one. Simply terrible.
  21. Ive never even heard of a 6'6 guy running a 4.37 I mean that's nuts. FYI he said he wont play TE, it actually made sense when he expressed his feeling about that. One coach asked about the possibility because of his size and he was like "what, you want me to gain 20 lbs and run a 4.57 instead of staying how I am and run a 4.37?" I mean that speed and size could be devastating as a 3wr and the slash options would always be there. Look at the big plays he's made, I really like him for a 3rd rd pick.
