I asked ChatGPT to Mock Round 1 - and the Bills select…
ndirish1978 replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tai Felton is not a 1st Rd pick and Kool-Aid McKinstry, who goes the pick before to the commanders at 29 was drafted in the second round of the 2024 draft. ChatGPT is less capable of predicting picks than a magic 8-ball. -
There is no reason to trade him. Just let him play out his contract, do something for this team and collect a comp pick when he leaves.

It's just a dumb negotiating tactic to see if he gets moved before the draft to a team that wants to pay him. Unfortunately for him there are a number of B+ running backs out there. If I had to put money on it, he grumbles and complains and plays out his last year hear and then leaves to some bad franchise who he can trick into giving him a bag who don't have a decent line and he goes the way of Gabe Davis. We will pick a RB in the 3-4th rd next year and roll with that the rookie and our other 2 guys and not drop off all that much. There are a lot of B+ RBs out there, they don't usually get 15M like Cook wants... He's a top 10 rb, not top 5. Top 3-4 guys get paid. Unfortunate for him but expected. I suspect McGovern leaves after this season as well, but without the theatrics that make people turn on Cook. It's clear that Beane is tired of the distraction Cook is causing already.

Traded back in Rd 1 to pick up 68 then packaged some picks to move up for Landon Jackson and a couple smaller trades to move around the board to get IOL and the TE I wanted. I really like TeSlaa and he's my guy if we go WR late, good speed and good blocker. After looking at their board PFN grades are just way off. Farmer is going no later than the top half of rd 3 imo and in the opinion of most other drafts.
-
Traded away next year's first and a couple picks to move all the way up for Carter. Left us with only 6 picks but managed to get all the positions I saw a need for
-
Trey Amos should be there at 30, I think he's a 1st rd CB. If they want to stick at 30 and pick him I'm ok with that, but I'd be happy to trade back and pick up Porter, Hairston or Thomas and recover a 3rd we could spend on a WR.
-
No idea who he's talking about. I presum Desmond Watson, who I think is a UDFA
-
You talking about Deone Walker? I'm not a big fan of taking him where he's graded. He should be a rd 5+ pick.
-
I would like to trade out of Rd 1 to pick up a third then draft a CB with our first pick, then draft Edge and DT with our second rd picks. Take Kyle Williams or Royals in the 3rd. After that they can do whatever they want. I would also like to double dip at both DT and CB because we don't have depth at those positions that I'm willing to bank on.

A lot of these draft services just have people hanging around way longer than they should. I very much doubt Landon Jackson, Tyliek or Amos are going to be there in rd 2 for us without a trade up. I see some drafts with us getting Grant and then one of these other guys in the second. I would love that but I think all of those players will be gone by 50.

TSW 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #56
ndirish1978 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends on the type of 1-tech. Some offer pass-rush and others are just space-eaters. Grant is a 1-tech with great lateral range who has pass-rushing upside, which cannot be said for a lot of the other 1-techs in the draft. I think he offers more than the other guys and he and Harmon are probably the only 2 1-techs i would take in the 1st. That said, I don't think another 1-tech like Collins is a worthy pick in the 2nd compared to someone like Farmer in the 3rd. We should be looking at another position with this pick, the board fell in a crappy nightmare scenario value-wise. I would trade back if this were how the board fell to us to pick up more ammo for a trade up to the 3rd. -
This suggestion makes no sense and is completely irresponsible

Rasul Douglas Wants to Stay in Buffalo
ndirish1978 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dane Jackson's contract doesn't guarantee him a roster spot. Might be better to sign Rasul and Dane and draft 2 rookies and just let them all duke it out for a roster spot. Rasul wasnt re-signed IMO because he overestimated his worth. If he drops his salary demands and signs for closer to min it's doable. -

This trade offer suggested by OP in this thread is ridiculous. Why even make a thread without checking to see if it's even remotely possible? Have you ever looked at a draft value chart? https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=buf Future picks are devalued by a round per year. So next year's third is valued as a 4th. We don't have a pick in the 3rd rd this year, so you're essentially asking us to give up 2026 and 2027 3rd rd picks for 4th and 5th rd value. Let's add up this ridiculous scenario and see how many points it gets us shall we? Both 2nds this year: 624 2026 2nd (valued as a 3rd this year): 124 2026 3rd (valued as a 4th this year): 40 2027 3rd (valued as a 5th this year): 24.2 Total 812.2 Congrats, you just traded away 5 high round players for pick 21 in the draft. This is best case scenario for your proposition as I'm using the outdated Jimmy Johnson model. The NFL isn't Madden. Let's use the newer Rich Hill draft value chart which is closer to what is actually used today Both 2nds this year: 182 2026 2nd (valued as a 3rd this year): 41 2026 3rd (valued as a 4th this year): 18 2027 3rd (valued as a 5th this year): 9 Total 250 Congrats, you just traded away 5 high round players for pick 23 in the draft. -

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/overview/_/year/2025 We had 7.5 in cap space before we signed: Bosa, Hamlin, Ogunjobe, Ferguson, Evans, Johnson, Gilliam, Palmer and Forrest. This looks like a move made to get under the cap.

OBD doesn't have any leaks and this account is a troll account. I agree I wish we had something at CB, I just don't know who is left we could sign that can tackle and cover.
