Vea looks like he could legitimately eat Hurst for dinner

Please tell me the last time a non-elite QB won the Superbowl? Answer: 2002 and it was Brad Johnson. The last great example of winning how you want to win occurred SIXTEEN YEARS ago. Here are the QBs who have won the SB since Johnson: Super Bowl 38. Tom Brady (MVP), 3 TDsSuper Bowl 39. Tom Brady (Deion Branch), 2 TDsSuper Bowl 40. Ben Roethlisberger (Hines Ward), 0 TDsSuper Bowl 41. Peyton Manning (MVP), 1 TDSuper Bowl 42. Eli Manning (MVP), 2 TDsSuper Bowl 43: Ben Roethlisberger (Santonio Holmes), 1 TDSuper Bowl 44: Drew Brees (MVP), 2 TDsSuper Bowl 45: Aaron Rogers (MVP), 3TDsSuper Bowl 46: Eli Manning (MVP), 1 TDSuper Bowl 47: Joe Flacco (MVP), 3TDsSuper Bowl 48: Russell Wilson (Malcolm Smith), 2TDsSuper Bowl 49: Tom Brady (MVP), 4TDsSuper Bowl 50: Peyton Manning (Von Miller), 0TDsSuper Bowl 51: Tom Brady (MVP), 2TDs This team will go nowhere without a QB. We have been afraid to pull the trigger and actually spend the capital to draft a franchise QB, but we can trade 2 1sts for a WR who didn't even play out his rookie contract for some reason? I'm tired of having no shot at winning games in the 4th quarter when we're down. I'm sick and tired of having no long term plan at QB and everyone's "let's just get someone who isn't terrible, QB can be "next year's problem."

CAN you win a SB without a franchise QB anymore? Maybe. But, the rest of your team better be phenomenal. Our Defense needs 5 major pieces and I doubt we can get playmakers at LB AND DT AND DE in order to get to that step. The fastest way to improve your team is with a franchise QB and then you least have a SHOT to win games for 10-12 years. QB is priority 1-10 for this team. -
PFF End of Season QB Rankings

This stat alone makes PFT worthless to me. If they can sit there with straight faces and say TT is better than a bottom tier QB, none of their stats mean anything. -
The 1st and goal throw to benjamin

This was TT trying to make himself the hero, there's really very little doubt about that. -
If the Bills aren't on I watch with indifference. I get the most joy from the misery of Patriots fans, an experience which admittedly doesn't happen often enough.

That was it! Thanks! Yeah I wouldn't want him back just based on that stupidity. -

You think these two guys are going to turn into solid players with a different coach? Neither has ever been good. -
Don't Draft a QB, Package The Picks For This Instead

I think both points are irrelevant. This is a business, you get what you can for assets you aren't using and similarly you play for whomever holds the rights to your contract. Shady didn't "want" to be here at first and then he got acclimated and now loves the area, I don't think caring or feelings means much at all as a deterrent for a deal, even if it's a deal I don't want. The bigger issue is he's old and his contract is ending soon. I wouldn't want him just for that. -

Was Bradham the guy who had a friend tweeting out all these stupid FA updates for him? I can't remember. -

I don't think Reid gives a wet fart about what Smith wants if he can get solid compensation for him with a QB waiting in the wings. The thing about Smith is he's 33 and not elite, so you are still looking at drafting a QB if you pick him up so you're just using up more capital there that could go to fixing up other parts of the team. -

We badly need OL help. The right side of our Oline takes half the field away from us on running plays and collapses the pocket for us on passing plays. Counterintuitive to grab a franchise QB and then get him killed behind Ducasse and Mills. -

Back to waiting on free agency to start while the playoffs are still going, feel a bit more normal now. I don't know what I'd ever do if this team didn't have multiple glaring holes. -
You've got to be kidding me, I love those commercials. Clay's morse code and enthusiastic singing of "I'm like a bird" crack me up every time.

Signing a solid QB like Cousins in FA would help this team in so many areas beyond QB. We wouldn't have to use draft capital on a QB and we could use our multitude of picks to really shore up the team. That said, I would trade away all our picks for a good QB.

We went through so many years in which we switched from 4-3 to 3-4 and back. It was AWFUL for this D and frankly I'm surprised they did as well as they did. There are at least 6 players from the turnstile years who are productive starters on other teams who we could use now. -

I'm not pounding on this drum, but I sincerely believe he won't be on this team next year. They can still get something for him and I suspect availability is high on the list of things Bean looks for. Trading him would get us something decent in return and would help us with cap space. -

2 reasons: 1 - Philly is better than us and has a young QB, if I'm him I chose to re-sign there. 2 - Not sure bringing back players who were around during the drought helps with culture change. -

Super bowl? In order to even get there you have to be dominant on one side of the ball. Our D at least has a good secondary, so to get there we would likely need to improve that first cause the offense is awful. On D we need: LB with speed. I'm not a huge Preston fan, but if he leaves we will need 2 of these. I think one of the LBs has to be a vet, it's too hard to succeed with zero experienced LBs. I would love to have Bradham back. Pass-Rushing DE Penetrating DT (draft) Run stuffing DT (I like Star Lotulelei for this) On offense we would need a LOT: QB - we will never get anywhere without a good QB, we either need to pay out the nose for Cousins or move up and draft one Playmaking WR with speed RG RT Promising young RB - we cannot be one injury away from having no running game
