  1. "Horse Hockey!" I know that a lot of people stopped watching MASH after McLean Stevenson left. Too me, MASH was one of the greatest television shows ever from start to finish.
  2. You would think the Chiefs would want to send him to an NFC team.
  3. I can understand why this show would be picked, however I still love it. The writers have done a great job in keeping Supernatural entertaining.
  4. Yes, Cook is on the wrong side of 30, and a 2 year deal would be great if he came here, but he might get more than that elsewhere. Crabtree is alright, but I'm more interested in Chris Conley.
  5. He might get overpaid, and while I would like to have younger players at the TE position, I think Jared Cook would bring good value to us. He's been an all around good player most of his career.
  6. I agree. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a look. Although when it comes to Jacksonville RB's, I'd rather have TJ Yeldon.
  7. "Get Out" was far from original, having said that, I'm not saying it's terrible, just overrated. I felt the same way about "Titanic". It was a good entertaining movie, but it did not deserve to win 12 or 13 Oscars, least of all best picture. That honor should have gone to "L.A. Confidential." As for the Hollywood people needing to be more mature, which they need to be, I don't mind them expressing their opinions. They have a right to speak their minds. What bothers me is that some of them choose to do it during the Oscars, and that's not what I want to see. The Oscars should be about celebrating the art form of movie making, not about what's wrong with the country we live in or how we are destroying the world or we are wrong for voting who we choose to vote for. There's another time and place for such things, and until they see that, the ratings will continue to fall. Celebrate the art. Exactly. The attitudes of some in the industry is a huge turn off. Diversity is a good thing, but don't snub others for it. The guy is a bigoted jerk. The hell with him.
  8. You're entitled to your opinion. I saw "Get Out", it's decent, just grossly overrated. It did not deserve all of the fawning it got. Best Picture? Best Director? Best Actor? Best Original Screenplay? Please. The Stepford Wives(insert African Americans for women) meets Frankenstein via Svengali, that is what "Get Out" is. Let me also add that I've called out other overrated movies in the past that have gotten Best Picture nominations. "Ghost", "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "The Full Monty", "A Beautiful Mind", "Juno". Also, "Titanic" & "Argo" did not deserve to win during their respective years. As for what I expect from awards shows, I expect some class, dignity and a little humility. Don't go up there and tell me how to vote or how I should be spending my money. Gary Oldman had a very nice speech last year when he won Best Actor for "Darkest Hour", as did Brie Larson a couple of years ago when she won Best Actress for "Room". That is what I like to see.
  9. And we will learn absolutely nothing from their press conferences. We will learn everything from them once free agency starts and on draft weekend.
  10. I thought "Black Panther" was a good movie, but it wasn't good enough to earn a best picture nomination.
  11. I skipped it, and I have been watching the Oscars for years. I'm just sick of the pretentious speeches and the pompous attitude some of these people in the industry bring with them. Some speeches are actually good and there are people who are deserving of some of the awards. What really bothers me is the nominations. Political & Cultural messaging is now more important than artistic expression & talent. Why else did a movie like "Get Out" receive so many top nominations last year? Because it was a brilliant movie? Even though I have heard great things about "Green Book", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "The Favourite" & "A Star Is Born", I just can't bring myself to really care. Maybe next year.
  12. We obviously need help at WR, but I can't imagine McBeane having this guy on the radar.
  13. Didn't see this posted. This will make the combine coverage on NFL Network more fun. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/02/former-buffalo-bills-dt-kyle-williams-covering-2019-nfl-scouting-combine.html
  14. I didn't say he SHOULD be doing these things, but rather I would like to see him take the initiative to do so. That would speak volumes to me. Also, this national dialogue he has created, has it truly brought people together or divided people even further?
  15. Because, he has personally called out people for wrongdoings. If he's concerned about these things then reach out to others and work together to try and solve it. Coming together and working together will get things solved.
  16. These two posts sum everything up to almost everyone's reaction to Kaepernick and I see both sides. I never fully understood Kaepernick's protest. It didn't bother me as much as it did others, I just found it to be silly and an attention grab. I always wondered if he really felt this way all the time, why did he start doing it only after he lost his starting job? It's true that Kaepernick does give plenty to charity and that is a good thing. I've heard that he has helped out many people who are in need. What I dislike about Kaepernick are his actions and the things he has said to the public. The pig socks were stupid and then telling everyone that he isn't registered to vote was baffling, but I should not have been surprised. What kind of message is he sending to people? When I ask his supporters of what Kaepernick has done to really make a difference about the problems in this country, I either get called a racist or stupid or they just tell me to "Shut Up!". I have not once seen Kaepernick go to city, state, or federal officials and attempt to work on these problems he's concerned with. Why not work with top officials of the police to come together and discuss? When I bring this up to his supporters, they tell me, "Why would he do that? They are the enemy!" I guess to his supporters, talking to people to try to fix things is the wrong thing to do. It's best to ignore the problem and not talk at all. Kaepernick has garnered a lot of attention from all of this, and in my opinion, that was the point from the start. Now he's going to get paid for this "conspiracy" against him, and now he can go out and say that he has been a victim all of his life. Whatever. If this means we don't have to see or hear about him anymore, I'm relieved.
  17. Yes, it is strange. Even more strange is that, some of those free agents we sign, turn out to be good players.
  18. Kellogg's or Post?
  19. Cold: Froot Loops, Frosted Rice Krispies, Fruity Pebbles, Special K, Crispix, Honey Nut Cheerios. Hot: Cream of Wheat
  20. Maybe the same reason men can't stay with Taylor Swift.
