  1. Friggin' Ewoks! Later to give way to Jar jar Binks!
  2. For me, the greatest part of SW was the sequence in ROTJ with Luke, Vader, and the Emperor. I mean, to have the most evil man in the universe give up his life for his son...
  3. Sign WR Alex Bannister to play ST's.
  4. LOL! I thought that Peerless Price was cut! Prioleau I figured was a goner, I just didn't know why it wasn't as soon as FA started. As for the reports on JP, opinions vary. I'm sure your friend didn't predict Brady or Delhomme.
  5. So if the Bills leave, WNY will lose $111.5M in "new" money, versus saving $3.56M. Sounds like the brilliant thinking of politicians!
  6. They probably screwed their cap down the line somewhere restructuring contracts of older players. It's also possible they don't even get any takers for Woodson and have to pay him $10.8M this year, or release him outright.
  7. Apparently Burgess failed a physical with the Seahags. He has an Achilles problem, but the Raiders didn't care. Hmmm.
  8. You think FA's are attracted by Joey Harrington?
  9. The Titans were also undefeated at home that year whereas the Dolphins weren't. And it came down to a botched ST's play wiht RJ, not a sack and a fumble like with Flutie. Bottom line is the TEAMS didn't get it done, but when RJ left the field, the Bills were ahead.
  10. Doesn't mean anything. First of all, we KNOW MW isn't going anywhere, yet BOTH of his jerseys are on sale. For Josh it's just his white jersey, not the blue one, and you'd figure both would be on sale and neither of MW's would be on sale if Josh were truly a goner. They probably made a ton thinking they'd be stars by now, but since they haven't they're just sitting there collecting dust.
  11. ...and Womack re-signs with the Seahags.
  12. I never got the Womack infatuation.
  13. I'd rather get a better center in FA and use Bannan, Gandy, or even Tucker at LG. I think that's the plan with DeMulling. As for chipping DE's or LB's, I've been wondering for years (in the past) why the Bills didn't do that more. I guess that's what having an offensive staff with a clue will do for you.
  14. Here's what TD had to say about Teague: http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8282644 Gandy was also mentioned, but no mention of Peters.
  15. The difference being...
  16. He'll mostly be their KO returner, assuming he doesn't pop a lung again. He's useless for anything else. I wonder if they'll have him play CB, though?
  17. Religion is a farce.
  18. It was a Football Coaches Association clinic. It wasn't your average public speaking engagement. I happen to believe the poster heard what he did and didn't make it up, and given that, it doesn't make sense that McNally would feel the need to say the stuff he did if he didn't mean it. I don't know, but again the sense I get is that the Bills are looking to upgrade at center.
  19. Take it up with the coaches. That's the way they seem to be leaning. I just don't think the Bills (read: McNally) are that impressed with Teague at center and are looking to replace him and try him out at LT. This goes back to that post by the guy who went to a coaches meeting that McNally was at, where McNally said that the Bills will try-out Peters and Teague at LT, and Bannan at LG, and that Teague was just "OK" last year. I don't think that "OK" is what they're looking for at center, and if Teague could make the transition from college center to NFL LT, then back to center, he can make the transition back to LT. And DeMulling himself said that he can play center. So it's not like this is all fanciful stuff. It's an attempt to make the O-line better, rather than having the same-old same-old that isn't good enough, or more precisely, could be better.
  20. It makes sense. Teague played LT with the Broncos and the Bills have a need there now. I'm inclined to believe that he's a candidate for the LT spot, with ideally a guy like DeMulling playing center. Whether or not Teague can be a good LT remains to be seen, but Gibbs thought enough of Teague to give him a shot there, before and even AFTER his ACL injury, which again as I said probably affected him a lot.
  21. First of all, it was Vlinklarek and the rest of those clowns making that determination. Second of all, they probably felt that given the collection of talent on the team, Teague was the only real candidate for the center position. But as has been said, if McNally thinks that Teague (or Peters) is a viable candidate at LT, who am I to argue?
  22. So you don't think his ACL injury was a factor at all? I do. Like I said, he tore it in the 2nd game of the 2000 season. So him starting the season off at LT in 2001 means he was playing within a year of his surgery. As for what the Bills did with him, they signed him originally to play LT. Then when mini-camps came around and Jennings couldn't hack it at center, they decided to move him to center and Jennings to LT. If you recall, Teague was pretty pissed about having ot play center. And the Bills drafted Mike Williams that year, to play RT, with the intention of eventually moving him to LT.
  23. Well there was definitely more humor to the original 3 than there was in the last 2 (and that goes double for ROTS). Sure the dialogue in the original wasn't the greatest, but the actors were far better IMO. They were just different movies.
  24. I didn't see those. Just the 2nd SW episode. Maybe it's the dialogue?
