  1. Agreed. He's a solid role-player though. It's great to have a veteran back there and not have to hope that we draft a rookie that can contribute. I want a rookie to prove that he's better than Scott not win the job by default.
  2. We're not actively looking to trade down so I expect that they'd have to sweeten the pot a little more. However, those bottom 1st round and top of 2nd round picks have increased in value with the new three day draft. So sitting in those draft spots gives a team a lot of room to do more deals. If we had a GM that liked to do that then I'd be very interested. Not Nix's style.
  3. I think and hope so too. But the question is more philosophical. Which one of the two do you value more? They're both top quarter NFL at there position IMO. Both positions are considered lower on the totem pole of importance. I think that Levitre is a slightly better guard than Byrd is a safety, but I think that a guard is easier to replace... But again. I really like both and want to keep both!
  4. IMO it's been building for the last couple years. The Bills organization has been looking better & better and the Dolphins have been looking worse and worse. It's been great that it's been happening at the same time to make the contrast between us look stronger. Now if we can truly get over the hump by winning a bunch of games and even better, winning some playoff games.
  5. More than that, he has the history to back him up. (and hopefully the talent as well)
  6. He was a godsend compared to the nightmare our center was before. A step up to average (Hang) was dramatic progress. He had his flaws for sure, but I agree with KTD that we likely would have kept him if we were just retooling. I wish him well.
  7. That's a problem that I'd like to face.
  8. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7701252/2012-nfl-free-agency-st-louis-rams-ink-kendall-langford-4-year-24-million-deal-sources-say 4 years for $24mil with 12 guaranteed. I don't think he's a terrible player but $6mil/year is overpaying for a so-so runstopper (only 7.5 sacks in 4 years and none last year). Kyle Williams averages $6m. Stevie Johnson is $7m. Kendall Langford isn't worth that IMO. The Rams are desperate at 31st rushing yards allowed. Desperation causes teams to overspend for mediocre talent. IT WASN'T us this year! No Dockery, or Green or even Langford. May those days be over for good.
  9. Very nice article. Haven't seen this one before and it has some nice descriptions of the strengths & weaknesses. Thanks!
  10. politics polls & pundits. it's on the base level of the forums... its the dark underbelly of tbd. Many fear to tread there.
  11. It's motivation for spiller. Show that you're better than the guy in front of you. (IMO he's not, but I could be proven wrong)
  12. Uh, CA taxes aren't so hot either. Sales tax alone is 9.75%
  13. I was a few minutes late finding out that we'd scheduled the press conference 'cause I was still a few pages behind. I laughed so many times in that thread! Good stuff.
  14. Yeah, we need to "settle" like that more often!
  15. can we update the thread title letting people know that press conference hasn't happened yet?
  16. lunacy. I want proof of a signed contract. I want to see Mario up front saying how grateful he is to be a Buffalo Bill.
  17. dang. Posted on page 100, but got caught up by the Lakers trades at the deadline and missed page 200.
  18. This is horrible. I want PROOF that he's ours and he's signed!
