  1. I think Willis is going to suprise everyone when he comes out that tunnel Sunday. I say he rushes for 160 yards and three TDs. Play him!
  2. Listen up stadium security: I wouldn't at all be surprised if you're reading this and thinking, "Damn, we really got to check 'em all for cowbells when they come in next Sunday." Well, stop such thinking right now. When you're doing the cursory pat down, if it clangs, give a wink and let 'em go. More importantly, when the cowbells come out in the stadium and that great clanging is drowning out Rottenburger's thoughts, don't go snatching up people's bells! This is going to be the most important home game in at least five years. Let the fans do what they need to do to make some REAL noise and pump up the team. No one is going to hurt anyone with a cowbell. I think we should post this message on several of the "cowbell threads" to make sure the point gets out there.
  3. Hear the same thing from Steeler fans I know. Hey, Mularkey coached this guy last year - I trust his judgement.
  4. AP is not pulling out -- they were never in -- BCS just took it upon themselves to use the AP Poll. I 100% agree with AP that this was tarnishing their reputation. I'd want to get as far away for the BCS as I could, too.
  5. Ahh, Willis is a young guy. He'll be fine. I wouldn't blame Mularkey at all if he keeps real hush, hush on this all the way up to game time against the Steelers. Keep 'em guessing!
  6. I don't give a damn if he is a nice guy or not -- throw him out until the Jags lose at least once.
  7. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: the Packers
  8. I like this signing. He spent some time with Pittsburgh this year so he may have even a little bit of insight to offer in Week 17, and he knows Mularkey. So, he shouldn't have too much trouble picking up the system, and Mularkey should knwo if this guy is good or not. Of course, the negative is that they needed to sign anyone at all. Welcome Mr. Dante Brown.

  12. Bring the cowbell to the game! Ring it like crazy outside and then sneak it into the game!
  13. Ravens: Ray Lewis has fractured wrist by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Tuesday, December 21, 2004 News Linebacker Ray Lewis told the Baltimore Sun he fractured his wrist in Sunday night's loss to the Colts, but Ravens coach Brian Billick indicated Lewis will wear either a cast or splint to protect his wrist and be on the field Sunday in Pittsburgh. "There's little doubt that he will play on Sunday," Billick said. Views Lewis suffered the injury, originally diagnosed as a sprained wrist, in the first quarter and missed the rest of the series, but later returned to the game. You can bet he'll be available for this week's key game in Pittsburgh, as the Ravens' postseason hopes are hanging by a thread.
  14. I wonder if a message board this size has ever had all of its members voluntary go to a single avatar.
  15. Takeo -- but McGahee is a close second.
  16. It was a defensive formation. The Pats lined up without anyone down on the line. Everyone was ina linebackers' stance. Feely couldn't tell who was coming and who was covering. The Bills just did it well and confused the hell out of Kitna.
  17. How funny was it when Madden went on and on last night about the no-down-linemen formation the Pats used in the LOSING effort? Madden said about five times and eventually got Al Michael to agree that it was the "first time in NFL history" that the formation had been used. I guess he didn't see the Bills do it against the Bengals Sunday. I guess he didn't see the Pats/Bills two years ago or all the coverage that followed. The reason I think Madden should get some crap for this is because he acts and is treated like he is the foremost expert on football.
  18. One other thing, the Fish will likely beat the Browns next week and win themselves right out of the top few draft slots!
  19. Brady played very much like Ogden played Sunday night. I had been posting here that I was hoping for a Pats' loss to mellow the Steelers out in Week 17, but now I wish it had gone the other way. That said, it was soooooooooooooooo great to see Brady play sooooooooooo poorly. Mere mortals they are!
  20. Yes, but Willis does not lose four yeards every first down. In fact, in case you haven't noticed, he has finished with very good numbers (over 100 yards) in all but two starts. Comparing a QB getting sacked and a running back getting hit for a loss just doesn't work in this case.
