  1. Base officials say the bus is indeed on the base, but it is now isloated.
  2. There is nothing to make police think so. The bus was suppose to get abaord the base. Someone on the bus stopped it.
  3. Bus is just outside gate in base parking lot. Robot, FBI and EOD on the scence. There is believed to be a man barracking himself in the bus.
  4. What's the weather going to be like in Saint Louis?
  5. The game is going to seem so much faster to you. I sat in seats about that close two years ago. I got a much better understanding of how fast the players are and how hard they really hit -- so much more intense than I could fully fathom.
  6. That he didn't keep Gilbride around. Plus, he was a player -- that is priceless IMO.
  7. Without really knowing all the details, I cannot believe Abraham isn't going to suit up. he must be hurt more than the national media is letting on, or he has no heart. This game is huge for the Jets. They won't win 10 games next season.
  8. I'm not going to get into an argument about what is humane what isn't. What I will say is that you're very wrong to state that someone reporting a violation of a law, whether you agree with that law or not, should be punished.
  9. We were all VERY happy to see that, yes. Thank you! But you should understand that it is hard to be too nice to this week's opponent.
  10. Why should the truck driver be "shot"? For reporting that someone is breaking the law?
  11. Thanks, Sideline. We organized a little cyber road trip last week to some of your message boards to show our support. Good bunch of guys I saw there. I was driving when I first heard the score -- I nearly hit a tree when I heard 21-0! We owe you guys, and I hope we can repay the debt next year by beating someone you need knocked off. Then, as you said, we can do battle in the post season.
  12. That first road win was a certain sign. I think it did a lot for the team's confidence, too.
  13. Too bad we're not playing Cleveland again -- Jeff Garcia would take it!
  14. Steel4real is in a win-win situation. He can come here and prod the bear as much as he wants. If his team wins, he will of course come back and gloat. If his team tanks, he can stand firmly on the platform that the Steelers didn't need this game and therefore didn't try. He cannot lose -- until the playoffs!
  15. All reports I saw say it is true -- they say Mularkey asked Andy Ried and Cowher about their road game habits. Both said to give the players some grease and protien.
  16. I think the first big key is setting the tone. Intense, hard hitting play will let the Steelers know they have to clearly decide whether they want to play for keeps or not. Takeo and the rest of the D have to come out much better than they have most of the season. One the same note, the defense will win or lose this game. They MUST put pressure on Tommy Boy every time he drops back. If he isn’t very sore by he 4th quarter, we’ll probably already be in trouble. Several teams have unsuccessfully tried to beat the Bills with a running game. Let the Steelers try. The Bills will bend but not break in defending against the run. Our big boys – Sam and Pat – better come out hungry. The game may very well ride on their shoulders. I couldn’t think of a better duo to place that burden on. On offense, the first key will be protecting the ball and therefore winning the battle for field position. They cannot give up on the run too early. Willis needs to be given a chance to get in a groove – he is so much better after he’s been hit a few times. Lee Evans needs to run a lot of deep routes, and Moulds needs to be unpredictable. Josh reed needs to show up. We may need a big play or two out of the special teams. The Bills’ STs are a confident group, and that could mean good things or bad things against Pitt. Everyone knows Randall El is a dangerous return man, but the Steelers’ coverage teams are dangerous, too. They cause a lot of fumbles, but they also take chances. If the Bills play smart, McGee is going to get another. The 12th Man needs to understand its challenge as well. Every man, women, boy and girl in that stadium better be making as much noise as possible anytime the offense is off the field. Bang the hell out of those aluminum chair backs, sneak cowbells or whatever in, use air horns. No one who should have anything resembling a voice by the time the final gun is sounded. The parking lot should be quiet.
  17. Saban has a big challenge ahead of him. Besides for picking up a team with great troubles, he is in the NFL's toughest division.
  18. OK. 80,000 minus 12,000 equals 68,000 screaming, crazy, cowbell ringing, drunk, dedicated Bills fans! This is still nearly a 6 to 1 ratio.
  19. It was an amazing afternoon and this has been an amazing second half of the season.
  20. Please let me know if this is what you're saying: Chargers will host #5 seed Saturday night. Cotls will host the #6 seed Sunday afternoon (early game). If that is the case, I now believe Manning will play 3/4 of the game in Denver.
  21. Beat the Steelers Sunday, and this season was a success. I cannot think past that right now.
  22. As long as the cheeseburgers keep coming, the Bills will keep winning on the road. The Steelers will be real tough in Pitt though.
  23. I agree that someone not playing at 100 percent is much more likely to get hurt. Basically, if the Bills come out swinging, really hitting hard, some players might be like, hey, there is no need to put my body through this today. Cowher would be stupid not to pull them then. That means the same thing from the Colts though.
