  1. In all fairness, this Steeler guy isn't so bad. He is still prodding the bear though, and I am happy for that. Clang, clang, clang...
  2. The Bills are in the spotlight -- watch out. He's 100 percent right on both answers, by the way.
  3. I certainly am not putting down someone who is trying to better themselves. Not that I even brought this up, but my issue is with people who use such programs but never give back. You'll end up making more with that college education and thus eventually contribute more in taxes. It all works out. I just cannot stand those who continually live off the government without any real effort to enable themselves to support themselves.
  4. The key word there is "Guess." I've certainly had my share of bad luck, but I know that hard work can overcome bad luck. All I'm saying is that as long as can work, I will. This thread is just full of cranky people.
  5. Good morning to you too. No, in reality, I wouldn't be working for a company like that to begin with. I work hard and give my all to my employer, so I don't have to deal with crap like U.S. Air doles out. As I just said, I give my best to my employer, and I expect the same in return. The real question posed in this thread is "would you work for free?" My answer is yes. I guess it is also important to point out that I don't feel any loyality to U.S. Air as I've never worked there, but I would do whatever it takes to keep the company I work for now on the right track. One other thing, as long as I have a working body and/or mind, I would NOT ever ask for assitance from the government.
  6. I would guess that could leave us playing a Saturday game -- especially if we get the #5 seed and go to San Diego, which is what I think will happen.
  7. I've come into work for free a few times, but I sure wouldn't do it for a company like US Air. Their employees get treated like crap on a regular basis. If I was working there and got a call like this from my boss, I'd just laugh and laugh until my boss hung up.
  8. Dungy clearly said this matters to him. He stated that if he is fairly sure the Colts won't have to play until Sunday, then he will play "a regular game" against Denver. I think it may be clear after the Jets and Bills games are done, but I'm not sure. Anyone have info?
  9. Don't forget how close the Steelers were to loosing to the Deadskins, too. Cower is no dummy -- the Bills are hitting very hard right now. All he has to do is look and see that that Bills have taken four opposing QBs out during this streak -- including Chad Pennington and the season-ending injury to Jeff Garcia.
  10. Don't forget that the guys your OL has to face before the can get tot eh LBs are big Pat Williams and Sam Adams. Plus, those LB just happen to be Takeo Spikes and London Fletcher. It should be a great game. One other thing, it is going to be really lound and that can hamper a running team like your Steelers. Your team hasn't heard anything like this yet this season.
  11. RottenBurger has it wrapped up, but I'm still damn happy we have a guy who is a legit contender. When is the last time that was? I'm thinking it was Shane Conlan. He had a mosnter rookie year. Also, the Lions' and Bucs each have a rookie WR with good numbers. The Rams' RB isn't too shaby either.
  12. Two things: First, even if Peyton only plays for the first half, I see that as likely being enough to beat Denver. Second, and most importantly, and maybe this should be (or already is) a thread of its own, but who knows how the NFL figures who plays Saturday and who plays Sunday. Dungy pretty much said he'd play a complete game if he knew his team didn't have to play again until Sunday. Anyone?
  13. I don't think you're crazy at all. Going to buddy's house to do the same thing. He doesn't have cable, and I don't have the dish. I am running my cable wire to his apartment (down two flights, one building over, and up two flights), so we can watch both at the the same time. (He is a Jests fan.)
  14. Good guys 34 Backup badguys 10 Jests 13 Rams 16 OT Colts 30 Broncos 6 Bills make playoffs, and so do the Jags (or is it the Ravens?).
  15. I really, really wish I could be at the game Sunday. I was at the Great Comeback. It was the wildest sight I've ever seen. The fences were coming down, fans were ripping their own hair right out of their heads. It was great! I would like to hear about everyone's craziest time at a Bills game, and I wonder if Sunday's game will earn a spot on the all-time list. Clang those cowbells so I can hear 'em on TV.
  16. By the way, the Bills-Steelers game will be on TV in Richmond! I live far enough south that I get the D.C. and Richmond channels.
  17. I've been thinking the same thing for a couple years now. I just don't get how they get away with this crap. For those who don't know what kind of crap the Skins are pulling in the D.C./northern VA/Southern MD area: If the Deadskins are on one network at 1 o'clock, the other network cannot show football at 1 o'clock regarless of which network has that week's doubleheader. Furthermore, if the Deadskins are on the Sunday ESPN night game, the local ABC channel can/must show the game.
  18. Sorry guys, but I don't believe it at all. The Colts don't want to play the Bills, and they really don't want to get banged up. Maybe if this game was in Indy, but it is in cold, snowy Denver. Don't loose faith though. The ponies can play pretty poorly from time to time -- I'm thinking this could be time.
  19. Thanks, but I don't have speakers at home. I would love a recap from anyone who has time....
  20. The Bills have been a second-half team the second-half the season. We just haven't seen it magnified because of the domince. Look at the 3rd Quarter numbers. The D has allowed less than a point per 3rd Quarter played this season. Jerry Grey is doing a freakin' great job in the lockerroom at the half. The conditioning has also been a plus for the Bills during the streak. They are still flying high in the middle of the 4th. If this game is close, the Bills will pull it out -- if for no other reason than the Bills are well rested and at home.
  21. Bull! Peyton and Dungy want nothing to do with the Bills this post-season. Who can blame them? I predict they do everything they can to give the game to Denver. The good news is that Denver is due for yet another meltdown. I could see the ponies losing to Indy's scrubs. Go Biils! Go Colts! Go Rams!
