I’ll say it again, Bates is one of best 5 linemen. McGovern can backup at all 3 IOL spots as well. Bills have an out of McGovern’s contract after 1 year. Bates is the superior player, especially at LG. Bates will win any competition at OG.

Not sure why people are making Bates the odd man out. McGovern can also play all 3 interior positions. He essentially on a 1 year contract. Bates is the better player. He’s also better at LG.

Honestly, I do believe McDermott runs the show. Also Oliver is an ok starter, I just haven’t seen anything more than that.

You had me up until you said impactful. But I’m biased, I’ve never really liked Oliver’s game. When everyone hated on Edmunds, Oliver was it for me. Overrated big name. In college people said he’s better than this, just playing out of position. Now in the pros it’s the same thing. He is what he is.

It’s definitely possible Von plays it out but will he be worth 20+ million in 2-3 years? Hard to say. Probably need to double that contract for Yannick. He’llprobably sign something in the 1 year up to $15 million range. Long-term probably 3 years $50 million.

I think Kincaid and Torrence will help more than any other rookies in the AFC East. I think the Jets have the most talent surrounding QB in the AFC East. Bills probably a close 3rd behind Miami. Rodgers can still play but the end comes quickly for QBs. We’ll just have to wait and see if his 12 INTs last year was the end coming or just a product of bad WRs.

Belichick is considered the greatest coach in NFL history for 1 reason, his QB he drafted. Brandon Beane is considered a good GM because of the QB he drafted. I read a quote today that Beane doesn’t want to go all in and risk a tear down. He believes they can go for it without going all in. This guy will only win a Super Bowl if Allen goes super human. If fans can remember Darcy Regier, that’s Brandon Beane.

I think you are wrong but I would love to be proven wrong. So you think most fans think Oliver’s cap hit is worthy? I know for a fact fans hated the Edmunds number entering last season. Edmunds was the whipping boy here.

As I’ve predicted they will sign one of Davis and Oliver. Davis will sign a 2nd tier WR contract around $14 million per season this summer. Oliver will walk in UFA. Look for Davis to sign a similar deal as Knox last year.

Most fans felt Oliver and Edmunds were overpaid on their 5th year. Both will likely sign for much larger salaries than their 5th year. Average players clean up in free agency. Could be a common theme in Buffalo because our QB is going to make a lot and we can’t sign average players to top contracts. Bad teams will sign our average players.

Just keep the defensive 1st round misses coming. If you don’t want to re-sign your first round picks then you did something wrong.

Man, Brandon Beane seriously missed on the Ed Oliver pick. Drafting busts in the top 10 should have consequences.

I think Matt Ioannidis would give us a nice rotational 3T if we were able to trade Oliver. Now the question comes down to compensation also. $10 million in cap minus whatever his replacement costs, so let’s say $8 million in savings plus a 4th round pick maybe? I’m not sure Oliver had much more value than a 4th on the market.

People hated Daboll in 2021. I said Allen’s worst game of his career was in 2021 vs Atlanta. Daboll was saved by Allen getting red hot in the playoffs. How about this stat from 2022 for everyone? After week 11 they were 23rd in redzone TD scoring. By the end of the season they finished 9th. The overall offense in 2022 was better than 2021. They just didn’t get going vs Cincinnati. And it seems all the deep shots were due to Allen’s injury. There was less discomfort throwing deep.
