What exactly are people supposed to do? A 17 year girl said she was gang raped. Blame the system for allowing the names of the accused to be released.
-
He definitely will. I was totally expecting the Bills to release him because it was a PR nightmare. But I also felt he’d have his chance again once it was all over. He’ll have a long career in the NFL.

We’re taught to believe the accuser. Public shouldn’t know about the accusations.

The draft is 100% hot takes. Pure emotion.
-
What’s funny is almost every mock I did I drafted Williams in the 4th. But my initial reaction was negative. It’s probably because Simpson almost fell to us.
-
Be mad at the system. Releasing names of the accused should be illegal for this reason.
-
Guilty or innocent an NFL team isn’t going to want that type of attention. The Bills did what they had to do. This is another example of why all names should be sealed in rape investigations until charges are filed.

Diggs is working out this offseason by walking the runway.

This should be fun. Mike Clay:

Baltimore and Chicago are the only ones I would argue about. After Diggs there is a very large drop. After Davis there is a very large drop. I don’t think the Bills did enough at WR but we’ll see. -
What does our O-Line look like now?

I feel like Bates was better than that grade. -

I think maybe the player to watch this summer if Torrence is a starter could be Morse. -

Can you post PFF on McGovern and Bates? Not the end all but I do appreciate their work. -

Definitely has upside. I really like Bates’ game though. So when I see him on the bench I just don’t get it. He was very good the 2nd half of last year. Sitting for McGovern, at least right now, doesn’t make sense. If McGovern wins a competition then OK. -

He can start. There’s a lot of bad starting OL in the NFL. He’s just not someone you sign and consider the position fixed. He’s a lot like Bates. He can play RG, C, and LG. I’m sure the Bills like that versatility. I think the signing was as much for now as it was for the future. The future could be now if the cut Morse post June 1st and save $6 million. I think the Bills view McGovern, Bates, and Torrence as their future IOL. -

I’m not sure who makes this decision. There’s been multiple blunders on the interior OL over the last few years with different OC’s and OL coaches. -
2025 is the official season Beane goes for it all if we haven’t won a Super Bowl yet. So 2 more years of trying to win it without hurting the future. Actually lines up pretty well with the current roster. Probably have to replace Diggs, Poyer, Hyde, and Miller the offseason leading up to 2025. We’ll have a lot of spending power.

I should’ve worded it better. Terrible starting LG. Or below average starting LG. Whatever sounds better. He’s kind of the opposite of Saffold in a way. Saffold was a better run blocker than pass blocker. McGovern is a better pass blocker than run blocker. But he’s a reserve level OG IMO. Not someone you sign and consider him a locked in starter. He is an upgrade over Saffold IMO, but I don’t view him as a better player than Bates. If someone does think he’s better than Bates I would love to be convinced. Please enlighten me. I’m seeing a lot of dislikes to my opinion on McGovern and Bates but no responses. I mean Ford started immediately and we immediately wanted him out. I feel very confident he’ll win the job but no reason to just hand it to him. -
Yes!

RD 2, Pick 59: G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida

Torrence is a beast. I can’t see him sitting for long if he doesn’t win the job outright in camp. -

He’s a reserve level OG that we signed as a free agent to start for us. That’s what happens in free agency, you overpay for starters. He’s not a better OG than Ryan Bates. Whatever you think of Bates, start your ranking there and work down to reach McGovern. I think overall they offer similar services. Why wouldn’t there be a competition for LG if Torrence wins RG? As someone said earlier we probably see a starting 5 of Dawkins-McGovern-Morse-Bates-Brown to start camp and preseason. Injuries probably will happen. One interesting thing about Bates is he can also kick outside so I wonder if that becomes a discussion if Torrence is outstanding and Brown struggles, 2 things I’m predicting will happen. -

Not as annoying as people thinking Bates was bad last year or not one of our top 5. The 2nd half of last season he was our best lineman. Sometimes I don’t think fans watch their own team. We definitely needed OG help and competition but we also needed OT competition. I wish we could go back and sign an OT instead of McGovern. -
Are the Bills committed to Ed Oliver in 2023?
Buffalo_Stampede replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
3rd round comp is virtually guaranteed as long as we don’t spend in UFA. There are similarities between Oliver and Edmunds, only difference is Edmunds improved with a true 1T DT in front of him. Oliver didn’t do much with Jones next to him. -

People do understand McGovern is not very good right? He’s been a reserve IOL and played average at RG and C, below average at LG. But he’s a quality depth IOL at all 3 positions. Ryan Bates is a reserve IOL that played average at RG and C and above average at LG. They are very similar players that offer similar quality of play, but Bates has shown to be better on the left in a short period of time. The Bills did this already, keeping Bates on the bench when he was one of their best 5. It should definitely be a competition. It’s pretty annoying to see McGovern penciled in everywhere when he’s not a good player. Definitely not a better player than Bates in their 1 full year of starting. -

For multiple years, yes. I want all the pass rushers. We’ve been flirting with Yannick for a couple years now. It would definitely be a surprise. People have been making excuses for Oliver since after his freshman season at Houston. -

$10 million cap space is a lot more valuable than the 100th pick in the draft. The way I look at is if you don’t like a player enough to sign him long term then move him out so you can sign a player you do like long term, like Yannick Ngakoue. Don’t wait for him to walk and don’t let him eat a large chunk of the cap if he isn’t a player you like long term.
