  1. Gadsden looking like Gates. Steal of a draft pick.
  2. I don’t think the Chiefs have a losing record with any crew. It is kinda odd that the second winningest regular season team in the last 5 years has a losing record with not one, but TWO crews. This guy and wasn’t Land Clark the other? Or baby Hochuli?
  3. And the Bengals would’ve beaten them too if not for a couple flags.
  4. Did you see his “effort” on Trevor Lawrence’s game winning TD run? Brutal.
  5. Yeah, I guess the media should never ask about injuries because what’s the point, right? Fans and media want more information than what can be found on weekly injury reports? How dare they! Maybe you can start a petition to outlaw these questions.
  6. Complacent. Stale. Routine. Whatever you want to call it, the Bills and McD/Allen have seemingly reached this point. Not to mention only Cook and Oliver have elevated their play post second contract.
  7. If either actually hit IR count me as surprised because their situation will feel mismanaged. In my opinion it’s just McD being cagey as usual. A reporter asks “is IR a possibility?” McD responds with his token “we’ll see.” They act like they don’t have any of the information when in fact they have all of it. Diagnoses don’t take literal weeks.
  8. Don’t kid yourself. Sean McDermott and the Bills know exactly what’s wrong with Strong’s neck, they just don’t want to tell you. They’re so unnecessarily cagey with injury information. A few weeks after Hairston’s knee sprain they were still “gathering information.”
  9. The All-hindsight draft would have been filthy good if Beane never traded up, picked S Emmanwori in the first, CB Trey Amos and whoever else you wanted in the 2nd, DT Deone Walker in the third, and WR Tory Horton in the 4th.
  10. I think he’s generally hands off when it concerns the offense, but if you want to assign him blame for not picking up the headset and setting his OC straight, I couldn’t argue with it. He gives his coordinators more space than maybe he should.
  11. I also think he’s more to blame for the struggles than most here are willing to admit, but if I had to put a percentage on it, I’d say the passing issues are 35% Joe Brady, 30% Josh Allen, 20% WRs, and 15% OL.
  12. As long as they rule that the first Seahawk had possession.
  13. The Ravens have returned from their bye week. Lamar Jackson did not practice (hamstring).
  14. Hard to believe these Lions got so out classed by the Chiefs. Definitely a week to week league.
  15. And that’s the problem with the offensive approach. A defense’s best friend is an offense that racks up points, forces the opposition to be one dimensional. The only game we’ve had like that this year is the Jets. All other games have been close enough to where the opponent hasn’t had to abandon their running game. We’ve neutered our offense and it is quite boring to watch.
  16. Too close to overturn. Would’ve needed an index card measurement
  17. I remember Beane had something to the effect of “yeah we decided to put Max on IR to give him that much more time…” it didn’t sound like an IR injury at the time he spoke, but maybe they needed the roster spot and genuinely didn’t want to rush him back. I think he’s been healed long ago, despite the knee brace.
  18. Just heard Joe Buck say “the secondary is down every starter from opening day”?? Wow. His second point was “but you’d never know it.” Great defensive coaching.
  19. We actually do get pressure, but there’s players running so wide open in the zone that the pressure doesn’t have a chance to affect the QB. The back seven is not complementing the pass rush. I can think of quite a few wins where a defender immediately got in the backfield and the QB found a receiver running wide open to negate the win. The best pass rushers in the league couldn’t help the current scheme. It’s maddening.
  20. I know the Chiefs had some dreadful defensive rankings during their earlier SB runs, but they usually stepped up and got stops in the playoffs. We can only hope ours follows a similar path.
  21. If the Bills can’t beat the Andy Dalton led Carolina Panthers, stick a fork in the team because they’re done.
  22. There’s no one in the secondary with a name big enough to rock the locker room. Not at this point in time. Since he’s a long tenured Bill and was once an All Pro (I think?) I’d have to say Taron Johnson, although trading him with the amount of responsibilities he has on his plate seems far fetched.
  23. Going forward, when we run zone, I don't want to see CBs 8 yards off the receivers with safeties so far back they’re not even in the picture. Get up on these receivers and challenge them. Give your DL a fighting chance to get in the backfield and make a play. It shouldn’t be pitch and catch for the offense and that’s exactly what it has been with these cushions. If Rapp is still starting, play him in the box. I’d rather have a high variance defense that causes havoc but gets burned once in awhile, versus one that allows consistent yardage and bends then ultimately breaks anyway. Bring heat up front, but have the backend play more aggressive.
  24. The Mac Jones led 49ers, with half their defensive starters out, are about to take down the mighty Atlanta Falcons. Crazy league.
