  1. He had a down year, giving up his highest QB rating since his rookie season, but he’s always been known as a coverage LB. He’s a converted safety with mid 4.5 speed. I wanted him on the Bills as a UFA a few years ago.
  2. Lawrence equals Justin Herbert. Maybe lesser.
  3. As far as the first round, I’d agree. In the second we have Cody Ford and Boogie Basham. What makes the Ford pick even more heinous is there were rumors the Bills were trying to get back into the first round for him. They tried trading up repeatedly in the 2nd and were sweating bullets, hoping they could get him. All the while DK Metcalf and AJ Brown just go floating by (and we had a need at WR). I always think how differently that draft would’ve played out if the Panthers selected Ford (like they believed) rather than Greg Little.
  4. I haven’t followed the Eagles at all this year, but even some of their fans were saying the narrative from the season was “could we be physical enough?” Their DL hasn’t looked that dominant all year and finished 14th in the regular season for sacks. They certainly turned it up in the playoffs and looked like a defensive juggernaut against KC, but a couple weeks earlier were thisclose to losing to the Rams at home. Basically in the SB, one team had the game of its life while the other didn’t have the goods and it showed.
  5. I’d say they’re definitely used to adversity. The comeback against the Texans when they trailed 24-0? The SB comebacks against the 9ers (twice) and Eagles when they trailed by 10? Mahomes and his number of game winning drives, in addition to his record when trailing by 10+? They know how to battle and win tough, gritty games, but on that night they just didn’t have it. They looked lackadaisical from the start, definitely not the team that arrived fired up to beat the Bills. It was almost as though they were waiting on someone (Mahomes?) to make a play to jump start them and that play never came. If they ran the game back on another day, I highly doubt the result is the same, regardless of how things looked that particular Sunday.
  6. Kelce also has a lot more opportunities in front of the camera since his star shined brighter with Tay Tay. I went to a taping of “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity” last offseason where he was hosting. He’ll have many more opportunities like that.
  7. When the NFL turned into an aerial league RBs were immediately devalued, but I agree with you. No one can tell me J Jefferson at $35M/yr is worth that much more than Barkley at $12M/yr. I mean, we just saw MVP voting and Offensive Player of the Year awards. I think the contracts are out of whack and because we had two RBs who were serious contenders for MVP much of the season, there needs to be a re-evaluation of value among positions. The little WR from Baltimore, Zay Flowers, may likely be in the $28M/yr range when his contract comes due, but his value to that Raven offense wasn’t greater than Henry and he makes a paltry $8M/yr. I remember a few years ago RBs tried to voice their concerns to the NFLPA, but their voices should be even louder this offseason.
  8. I see Cook’s value as late first, early 2nd round. If he’s traded, we better get another home run hitter with vision in this offense, or it’ll be harder for the Bills to lean on the run game. There were quite a few times Cook got us more on the ground than what was expected.
  9. Listening to that, I’d be surprised if he returned. That doesn’t sound like a player who’s looking forward to next year.
  10. I agree with you, but just saw it broke Michael Jackson’s record for most watched halftime performance of all time. Kendrick Lamar? Unreal.
  11. Think I heard Jay Z/Roc Nation has put together the last few halftime shows, which is why they’ve all been hip hop. I’ve never liked Kendrick Lamar’s nasally voice so I didn’t tune in for longer than a minute. Have no idea what Samuel L Jackson was doing out there but also don’t care enough to find out why.
  12. If you guys recall, going into the conference championship games the most popular SB matchups - from best to least - were: Bills vs Commanders Bills vs Eagles Chiefs vs Commanders Chiefs vs Eagles There was then talk about boycotting the SB over questionable officiating and many others said they simply weren’t interested enough to watch. Well, the ratings are out, and the NFL has set yet another record: https://apnews.com/article/super-bowl-ratings-fox-nielsen-eagles-chiefs-e0c22b0e956e16637870110140933cea Guess more needed to boycott.
  13. Under our pass happy offensive coordinator, sure, Gabe Davis cashed in. Under Joe Brady? Buffalo is where WRs go to put up underwhelming numbers 😅
  14. Just wrote this in another thread:
  15. Looking at Sweat’s career stats versus Rousseau, they’re basically clones of each other. If Sweat is valued at $18M/yr, while Rousseau is valued at $25M/yr, I think it’s obvious who our Robin should be on the DL while we go get Batman.
  16. Reading comprehension, my friend. I’m not the one parroting “we would’ve lost tonight.”
  17. Never once did I say “we beat this team therefore we’d beat this other team.” I said the Ravens were playing the best football of anyone and were everyone’s most feared opponent, yet we were 2 yards from going up on them 31-19 and had another potential scoring drive stopped where Kincaid dropped the ball. The argument was that you can’t say because the Eagles smacked the Chiefs that they’d smack the Bills, just like you couldn’t say the Bills would’ve smacked the Eagles had the Chiefs blown out the birds. Keep up.
  18. I understand the cope, it’s trying to find a silver lining in not making the SB. “We wouldn’t have won this game anyway, it would’ve been our 5th SB loss.” That statement is no more valid than “we would’ve smoked the Eagles too” had KC came out and dominated the birds. Styles make fights, emotion, momentum, hunger, it all goes into it. No one knows what would’ve happened in a Bills v Eagles SB, even against this same fiery Eagles team tonight.
  19. Yeah, Chiefs just looked listless from the opening snap, definitely not the same effort they put forth against the Bills. As to whether the Bills would’ve lost a close game 60% of the time against these Eagles, it would’ve been fun to find out. The Bills, like the Chiefs, were (-1.5) favorites against Philly in the look ahead odds. Eagles played their best game of the season, even better than the beatdown they gave the Commanders in the NFCCG. Chiefs played their worst.
  20. I think it’s a coping mechanism for some since the Bills weren’t in the game. They’ve convinced themselves we wouldn’t have had a chance - like we didn’t have a chance against the Ravens, everyone’s most feared opponent. Go back and watch the first half of that Ravens game, some of you forget how great the Bills can be when they’re clicking on all cylinders. They weren’t clicking like that against the Chiefs; different Sunday, different opponent, different location. The Eagles blasting the Chiefs does not automatically mean they do the same to the Bills. I won’t cope with that belief.
  21. If the A+ Bills showed up it absolutely would’ve been a game against the A+ Eagles that showed up tonight. If the Bills defense got a turnover they get momentum and are fired up, which would’ve sapped some of that energy out of the Eagles. I’m old enough to remember when the Bills had the Ravens on the ropes, up 24-19 and driving to make it 31-19 before being stopped at the 2 yard line. This with Dalton Kincaid dropping a pass that could’ve extended another scoring drive. No one was playing better than the Ravens when we saw them and I’d argue they’re more talented than the Eagles. Certainly an even more dynamic QB and another MVP candidate in the backfield. Say what you will, but the Bills could’ve beaten this Eagles team tonight if they showed up with their best, not with what showed up versus KC. If they came out flat like the Chiefs? Ala Ravens part 1 or Houston? Then yeah, no chance.
  22. Remember when everyone said “we just don’t matchup well with the Ravens, we’re probably going to lose”? The Bills were up 21-10 against that team and were threatening to take a commanding 30-19 lead before Dalton dropped the pass that stalled the drive. This against the mighty record setting Ravens who were on another level against everyone. I won’t succumb to “Bills absolutely would’ve lost today” none of you are prophets.
  23. I mean, there’s just no way you could say this with absolute certainty. The Bills won 15 games on the year, went into the Lions house and beat them on their own turf. If A+ Allen showed up and the defense got turnovers, they absolutely could’ve beaten the Eagles even on this day. You guys need to stop short changing the Bills like they were some scrubs, lucky to be in the playoffs.
  24. Zack Baun = Lorenzo Alexander
  25. #90, believe that’s Omenihu
