  1. Woody was on the pats* from 2000-2003, which coincides with their illegal videotaping.
  2. Ex-patriots* damien woody and POS ridney harrison piled on as well. Woody's response was particularly amusing, because he went on and on about how "you shouldn't be in awe because belicheat* always makes sure players are prepared and when he was there, the game was a test and the players knew the answers before they got on the field." Yes, damien, it felt like you knew the answer before the test because your coach and franchise was engaging in illegal activities by videotaping and stealing signs and playcalls from opposing teams.
  3. Sabres management style: Announce you're going to do whatever it takes to win a Stanley Cup. Revamp team facilities to make your team as desirable as possible. Go out and spend some money to get players that fill the needs of your team. Ingratiate yourself with fans at every opportunity. Send players out to deliver season tickets to some fans. Bills management style: Bumble!@#$ your way to 11 straight non-playoff seasons, a near impossibility in today's NFL. Make your franchise so undesirable that most coaches refuse to consider employment by your team. Announce that you really don't care about winning and aren't willing to do give your all to win. Make minimal effort to improve the team. Allow bean counters to make decisions about the roster. Trade away one of your best offensive players for nothing. Refuse to pay going rate for one of your best players, a warrior and a locker room leader. (Freddie) *Note: these are not my feelings about the current Bills team/players, just the ownership.
  4. Waaaahh for Boise. They need to keep going on the road and winning for years, not just once or twice. FSU did this in the 80s, with their anyone, anywhere motto. Boise gets no love because they don't play a tough schedule week in and week out. Any team can get fired up for 1 or 2 games per season, which is all they have to do. Then they go back to playing teams like UNLV and Wyoming for the remaining 10-11 games. At no point in their schedule do they need to run a gauntlet of 3-4 tough, gut-it-out type of games. That is a true test of a team. They also need to get rid of the blue field. That was a cute gimmick, but if they want to be taken seriously, get s real field. If they wanted to be treated like a big boy, then they need to act like one.
  5. She obviously doesn't want your feet to get cold when you're standing all day on the kitchen and laundry room tile.
  6. So Brady should get rewarded for throwing a 30 pass and having the WR run the remaining 69 yards?
  7. If you're too much of a fattie to fit in the booth, thats a sure sign you shouldn't be eating there.
  8. As i said before, that commercial erases all doubts anyone had about brady being gay.
  9. Completely demoralizing. Imagine the Bills players' dismay when they fly into KC and see...a CHIEFS LOGO! They shouldn't even go to the gate...just turn the plane around and return to buffalo.
  10. I'm not playing the spread. Those are my 3 upset picks to straight out win. I don't look at the lines or odds or anything.
  11. 2 tips: Get the track headset for the race. It'll cut down on the noise and you can hear all the radios and discussion between drivers and pit crew. Find your way down by the fence for a lap or 2 as the cars go by. There's nothing like it. They won't let you stand at the fence, but you can be "walking" through when they go by.
  12. Precedent or not, permission or not, and regardless of the reason behind him wearing them, there is no way the league can fine the players without taking a serious PR beating. They simply can't win this one. They're best off to let it slide this week and resume fines in week 2 for any uni violations.
  13. Well, fresh off my correct prediction of Baylor over TCU (a real upset pick, not a faux upset like USF over the highly overrated irish), Ive got a few more coming. Arizona St. over #21 Mizzou: State had some top defenders and are better than theyre given credit for. Theyre a real threat to win the Pac-12 south, and Mizzou needs to find its identity after losing QB Blaine Gabbert to the NFL. BYU over #24 Texas: I know, this only vaguely qualifies as an upset, but BYU should have pounded Ole Miss last week. They correct their mistakes this week. Texas isnt the Texas of old, and simply put, I think BYU is the better team of these 2. UGA over #12 South Carolina: the other USC didnt impress me last week in their win over ECU. And this is the type of game where you know UGA will somehow find a way to win. They looked uninterested against Boise last week, and will not be a very good team most of the season, but you get the feeling that theyre going to be pumped for this one and pull off the upset. Plus, the game is in Athens, one of the biggest partying towns, and we all know how fond of the alcohol SC QB Stephen Garcia is. (5 suspensions during his time at SC) A hung over Garcia gets picked 4 times in a loss. Week 1 wins: Baylor over #14 TCU Season record: 1/3
  14. Well, if one conference (Pac-12) goes to 16, i'm sure we'd see the others follow suit. Else you'd have a 16 team pac-12, a 13 team SEC, (i'd imagine they'd go to 14 at least) 12 team ACC/Big 10/big east. If they go to 16, 4 super conferences make sense. In your scenario, i suppose its the ACC that would be cannibalized (not that i care, while i'm an FSU fan, i'm not one of those guys that waves the conference flag). I'd just prefer that FSU ends up in a decent conference, instead of the weak ass ACC. I wonder which potential super conference would make a run at them. Big 10, to get a foothold in the southeast? We're also always mentioned in any SEC expansion. I've heard rumors of Mizzou and/or WVU to the SEC, along with the usual Clemson rumors. I've yet to figure out what excatly Clemson brings to the SEC to make them so deirable.
  15. I was posing a hypothetical question to PTR, who suggested that we ditch stevie if he wants too much money.
  16. So much for keeping your own, huh? If ralphie refuses to pay for FAs, and refuses to pay for our own guys, then where does that leave us? Maybe we can trade stevie for a 6th before he gets too expensive so we don't risk losing Aiken or Roosevelt.
  17. That, but also they figure they can probably get an easy paycheck from aTm by running their mouth. Make a big stink, and aTm will pay them off to go away, and they get some extra cash. The real question now is how the other dominoes fall. Do we see OU, UT, and others going to the Pac-12? I can see the old big 12 being divided up between the SEC, Pac-12, and Big 10. But where does that leave room for a 4th superconference? The ACC and big east? PErhaps some conference USA teams?
  18. Just because Jones is listed as #2 on the depth chart doesn't mean that he's anything close to resembling a #2 WR. With a straight face, tell me which starting lineup causes more problems...Evans/Johnson or Johnson/Jones? There was no football reason to trade Evans because a)there isn't someone who is proven they are as good as Evans is, and b)Evans on the team in 2011 and 2012 does a lot more good than a 4th round pick in 2012 will do. This was a salary dump, much like the Hangartner move. If the Bills were $2 mil under the cap, you could justify trading Evans to free up room. But we're 26 million under. The only impact the Evans trade was to pad ralphie's wallet. In the past 11 years, despite all the change, there's been 3 constants at OBD. Ralph, Littman, and Overdorf. Now you tell me who is running the show and where the problem lies.
  19. What is baffling is that the Jags let him take 1st team reps all preseason and then dumped him. He's been on the team long enough to know what they have in him. If they wanted to cut him due to money reasons, why not do it in july, and give McCown/Gabbert 1st team reps?
  20. Some things just don't add up: 1. This is now what, the 3rd or 4th different reason we've been given for Evans being traded. Why the constant changing of the story? 2. If money was no object, why did buddy come out BEFORE free agency and tell everyone we weren't going to make any splashes to improve the team? 3. And the OL being better than last year is simply laughable. Perhaps the OL played so poorly in the preseason so buddy could "hide" how good they were? Sounds as if Buddy is in "damage control" mode. And the fact that after 11 years of complete crap on the field, some of you guys keep drinknig the kool-aid is a joke. There's been 1 constant all these years, and it is still in place. There's where the problem lies.
  21. I loved UGAs unis. They were pretty sweet. Boise's were ok, but they had a very similar pro-combat jersey they used last year. FSU had a game with the Pro Combat unis back in '09 and they were pretty well received (aside from the black helmet). Usually, the pro-combat jerseys are a 1 time deal.
  22. The theatrical versions are available on DVD, just not blu ray.
  23. The Oregon/LSU game was fairly ugly. Plenty of mistakes to go around. Both teams (espcially Oregon) squandered opportunities to seize control of the game in the first half. It was closer than the score indicates. Midway through the 3rd quarter, it was still 16-13 LSU. They scored, oregon fumbled the kickoff, another LSU TD, and the game was effectively over at 30-13.
  24. This team and the entire campus/town has had Sept. 17th targeted since about 30 seconds after the bowl win against SC last year.
  25. Given what has transpired, Forcier has a better shot at a BCS bowl at SJ St. than he does in miami.
