How bad the Bills have been has nothing to do with the patriots* piss poor drafting in recent years.

Why are you so hung up on Overdorf? I dont care if it was Overdorf, Littman, or freaking Santa Claus, the FACT remains that the business people and bean counters in this organization have much more power and voice than the football side of the operation. Our record in the past 12 years reflects this. The ownership/inner circle is obviously concerned more about profit than winning, and its been put out to the public now. We have an actual move that doesn't make football sense but definitely puts $7 mil more in ralphie's pocket. THAT is why people are pissed and demand answers. -

We'd have won more with Evans than with BUSTer freaking Davis. You aren't defending the organization word for word, but your attitude and actions of attacking and attempting to discredit a professional reporter that has criticized the organization falls lock-step with the way the Bills have operated the last decade. The brass doesn't defend the piss-poor way this organization has been run, they attack anyone who dares question them. People are just pissed off that this organization values money and pure profit over fielding a winning team. After 12 years of ****ty football, the Bills fan base has hit a critical mass of being sick of jerked around. -

Glad to know that the inner circle values $7 million dollars in ralphie's pocket more than they do winning games on the field. -

And if you're connected to the team, you're going to toe the company line, and tell us all to ignore the man behind the curtain and continue buying tickets. You're pissed off because JW blew the doors off the mickey mouse way this franchise has been run for well over a decade (and for most of its existence) Face it, you're doing exactly what the Bills brass has been doing for years. Instead of defending the piss poor way the team has been run, the team attacks the journalists and reporters who dare to question the shenanigans of the Bills ownership. Thanks, Dad. -
Thanks! This started because there's a guy at work and we each pick a few upsets each week and see who can do better. He took USF over ND, UGA over Boise, and 1 other. Hopefully others here will jump on board for the competition. I'm actually trying to pick real upsets, and sometimes finding 3 of them can be tough!

JW and NGU have opposing viewpoints/reports on this situation. But, since we know JW's identity, and thus how he's connected to the team, his reports carry much more weight than some random poster who refuses to reveal himself, no matter how much he's been correct. NGU neds to identify how he's connected with the team. He doesn't need to name himself or his sources, but it is possible to reveal how you are connected and still protect your sources. If NGU refuses to identify himself, based on that refusal and his previous correct info, its fair to assume he works for the team. In which case, he's going to lie and tow the company line and attempt to discredit the press, something the Bills' brass has been very fond of during this ugly 12 years of futility. -

Here's a simple question, after the facts. JW is an AP writer. His identity is on record and he's never hidden behind it. Being an AP writer, JW has credentials, access, and sources within the team. Nevergiveup, while he seems to have inside info, and may even work for the team, refuses to reveal his identity, or in what capacity he has sources with the team. My question is, supposing NGU is well connected with the team, doesn't it make sense that he's going to tow the company line as he's doing and not risk his own ass? JW has nothing to lose by objectively calling out the team in a professional fashion, as he did. NGU has everything to lose by not towing the company line, which is what he's doing in this case. -
No, we're trying to drum up interest and visibility of the college football board. We've got it, so let's use it.

With the college football season officially underway, i figured i'll try and post weekly upset picks. Here's mine for week 1 with some brief descriptions of why i think they can/will happen. And maybe every now and again, i'll actually get 1 right! The one big upset (and this will make the non-BCS fans happy), is that I’ll take Baylor over #14 TCU. TCU has to head on the road, not an easy start for any team. Baylor was looking good at the end of last season and returns a pretty good QB. TCU, while the defense is good, has someone besides current NFLer Andy Dalton under center for the 1st time in 4 years. Their offense will definitely suffer as they adjust to a new QB. Baylor is looking to make some noise in the “TEXAS and those 8 other schools” conference. My second upset pick is ECU over South Carolina. While the gamecocks got a very good squad, I don’t trust any team that is going to trot out Stephen Garcia under center. ECU is always a tough OOC opponent for some reason, and I think they’ll come out firing. Garcia will toss 4 picks before the ol ball coach removes him, but the damage will be done as ECU rolls onto victory. My 3rd upset pick is SMU over aTm (Texas A&M). I know the aggies are most likely headed to the SEC, but I simply don’t trust them. SMU had played decent for the first time since getting the death penalty in the 1980s, and I see all the conference issues affecting the focus of aTm. SMU will take advantage and score the upset.

Texas requests that in the "best interests" of the conference, you kindly refer to it not as the Big 12 or Big XII or Big 12-2, but rather as the Big "TEXAS and those 8 other schools" conference. Thanks.

Will Spiller fall below the Maybin line?
Ramius replied to CSBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right. RBs always either have it or not. They never develop into great runners over a couple of seasons. Sincerely, Jamal Charles -
DE Jerry Hughes and RB Donald Brown cut? Those are the Colts 2009 and 2010 1st rounders. Crazy!

To all the guys clamoring for Cody, remember, he had weight and motivation issues coming out fo college. That stuff won't be tolerated in the Ravens locker room, where they have a strong vet presence that simply does not allow the younger players to slack off, not put the team first, etc. The Bills have no such presence, so there is a very good likelihood that if Cody was on buffalo, he'd be overweight and underachieving. The way a player performs for 1 team, especially in a team sport like football, has little bearing on how he'd perform for another team. This isn't baseball. Players don't play in a vacuum.

RJ > George Lucas. Actually, Lucas runs Star Wars much like Ralph Wilson runs the Bills. They could give 2 craps what the public thinks about their product so long as the cash keeps rolling in. Both franchises would be better off is lucas and wilson were locked in padded rooms and not allowed near anything.

The funniest part about the OP's odd rant is that i have spoken with 3 friends, 2 at the game (independent of each other) and one who watched on TV, and all 3 of them, when i asked generically about the DL, was that Troup looked pretty good and was better than he has been this pre season. This follows suit with what many posters have said in this thread. Seems like the OP is justr making up falsehoods because he has an axe to grind.

Bills Talking Contract Extension with Parrish
Ramius replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So just like you commonly do, you're hung up on draft spot, which is absolutely meaningless at this point. You want to get rid of roscoe because you're mad at where he was drafted. Ridiculous. Roscoe is not a gadget player, no matter how many times you try to perpetuate this lie. He's our slot WR, and will be on the field for probably at least 60% of the snaps this season (given that NFL teams run 3 or more WR sets 60% of the time). He's worth extending. According to you, any player drafted or signed that isn't 300 lbs is a "gadget" player. -
bump, for those that haven't read the original article, and think Sullivan came up with the "Overdork and Littman are running the team and making football decisions" argument by himself.

Bills Talking Contract Extension with Parrish
Ramius replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does extending a WR (who was the #3 WR on the team statistically despite only playing half the season), qaulify as extending a "gadget player"? Just because jauron was too big of an idiot to use the guy at WR doesn't mean Gailey is. I'd hazard a bet that if he's healthy for 16 games, Roscoe will be the #2 WR on this team. -
Bledsoe was a statue prior to the injury and a statue after. The guy was a pretty good QB, but no one will ever mistake him for being mobile. There was rarely a time when trentative didn't suck as a Bill. But he outplayed Fitz in camp last year, hence the reason he was given the job. But, Fitz is a gamer, which is why trent turtled and Fitz shone when the real games started. Regardless of how it happened, i'm glad Trent is gone and Fitz is starting.

Ponder a 6th rounder, huh? Nice call.

Tough to blame aTm for leaving, especially in the wake of all that has happened. At least they are smart enough to realize they need to get out of the ridiculous arrangement in the new TEXAS + those other 9 teams conference. I still don't understand what the SEC gains by taking Clemson. They've got a presence in SC, and Clemson is no prize. They're coached by Dabo frickin Sweeney. No team coached by him will ever win anything aside from a minor bowl. Clemson is a nice team who will upset the big boys once in a while, but will normally win about 8 games per year and choke down the stretch. As for VT, word is that they aren't going anywhere without Virginia. Those 2 programs come as a package deal.

Are we that good? Or are Jags that bad?

You're going to upset the "3 yards and a cloud of dust is the way the Bills should play football" crowd with your suggestions on how Gailey is designing/running the offense.
