The deciding factor in picking the #1 QB
Ramius replied to Mickey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For every kurt warner, there are 50 washouts that never make it anywhere in the NFL. -
The curse of the TBD banner lives! Take Willis down, and dont even think of putting spikes or mcgee up there. I think we should do the team a favor and put bennie anderson on the banner.

The deciding factor in picking the #1 QB
Ramius replied to Mickey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, seeing as he's played in NFL europe and has all of 33 NFL pass attempts, there is a much higher % that Nall just doesnt have it and will look mediocre to worse throughout the preseason, and will never step it up. I dont see where you see that Nall is ever going to turn into anything, except in your hatred for JP. A low draft pick, a 3rd stringer for most of his career, and his former tea spent a 1st rounder because they werent sold on him. Sure we'd all love it if Nall was the next Joe Montana. But simple logic says that chances are, Nall will never be anything more than a #2 or 3. -
bull sh--. find me the link directly off the BBC page and i'll believe you.

Anyone just see Moulds catch and dive
Ramius replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. We didnt need moulds eating up any more '07 space. It makes youo salivate to think cincy isnt going to be able to keep their entire line intact. It'll be interesting to see who makes it to market. And to see if the bills are willing to pony up some cash for a decent linemen, depending on our needs. -
For those who love those managment memos at work
Ramius replied to HelloNewman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I assume you have drawn on white boards before. my ? was how can anyone do it with any skill. i mean did they draw stick figures banging each other? Or crude pictures of genatalia? One cannot easily draw picasso style drawings on a whiteboard with a dry erase marker... -
Anyone know how the Supplemental draft works?
Ramius replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its essentially a player auction. you'd "bid" a draft pick on a player, and the highest draft pick "bid" gets that player. But then that pick is lost next year. Essentially any pick in the '06 supp. draft is really the '07 pick 9-10 months early. -
I am a believer that Nall can hold a clipboard and wear a visor with the best of them.

McNair to Ravens for 4th Round Pick
Ramius replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Got the dangerous McNair to Mason combo back together. If he stays healthy, ravens could be a team to reckon with. -

Heres an email we got at work this morning. I only wish i could have seen it... How the hell does one draw pornographic images on a wipe off board with dry erase markers? -

Ramius replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe once the order is determined, it proceeds like the usual draft, with teams either selecting a player or passing on their pick. But whatever pick you use in this years supp. draft, you lose that round pick in next years (regular) draft. -
Kids also learned a lot better from ass beatings than they do from "timeout" and "discussing your actions"

The deciding factor in picking the #1 QB
Ramius replied to Mickey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that Jp needs to improve his accuracy, but i am with kel the dog in that i feel the lack of a good o-line and terrible play calling had a ton to do with JP's failures. Meathead decided to play call according to JP's potential, not according to his current skill level, which is where he went wrong. With holcomb, they play-called to suit holcombs limited abilities. Holcombs 67% is a mirage. -
The deciding factor in picking the #1 QB
Ramius replied to Mickey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats fine, as long as you are happy with holcomb completing a 2 yard pass on 3rd and 10. at least his % will be higher. Holcomb completes so many passes because 80% of his passes do not travel more than 5 yards. Anyone who knows what the word football means will tell you that shorter passes = higher completion %. Sure JP needs to improve drastically. But to suggest that holcombs 67% is "great" is a huge stretch. -
Well, since the Bills offered more, we overpaid. But had the pats signed him, ralph woudl have been accused of being cheap.

Bills trade Euhus to Saints for Courtney Watson

Its not road rage, its "intermittent explosive disorder"... -
THE BILLS JUST SIGNED JOSHUA COOPER!!!!
Ramius replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a move my Marv to silence everyone who complains about the Bills having only white DE's. -
This is embarassing. No personal responsibility anymore. Now you can have extreme roaad rage, and even beat your spouse, and you're not a crazy ass-hole, you have "intermittent explosive disorder". So therefore its not your fault you do these thing. Our society gets more and more pathetic every day. I wonder how long before we're drugging people left and right for this "disorder" http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13152708/?GT1=8211

The bottom line for me when it comes to
Ramius replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree completely john. Thers nothing wrong with gandy at LT. Hes not spectacular, but hes not a liability. The only problem with Gandy is that his name isnt Pace, Ogden, or Jones. Also, by next season, even if villy hits the wall, isnt that what we have been developing preston for? Oh thats right, preston wasnt a high draft pick, so he automatically sucks. As for this years draft, in a few years, i think we'l be seeing peters and butler as our bookends. Peters-Reyes-Fowler-Preston-Butler to the SB in 2008 -

While i understand the need for a solid o-line, can you explain how much 3 early o-line picks would have done for us this year and in the future? Where would they have started? Who would they have displaced off the roster? -
i was just trying to figure out the logistics of how the same person can be best man and walk his daugter up the aisle at the same wedding.

Ramius replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And this is somehow different than your one man "we didnt draft 8 o-linemen so our draft sucked!" crusade? I'd really like to see how your offense of 10 o-linemen and a QB does, since you hate "little people". I know we need a strong o-line to win, thats obvious. but we DID add some linemen this off-season, and the players we drafted are good players in positions that were needed. So if we get 4 starters out of this draft, it will still suck because we didnt draft linemen? As someone mentioned in a previous thread, football isnt 3 yards and a cloud of dust anymore. Its try and stop all of our WR's when we overload. -

Ramius replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post John! One problem. You forgot to address the fact that we didnt "address" our o-line because we didnt spend 80 mil on hutch and bentley, and we didnt use our first 6 picks on offensive linemen! -
Pats trade WR Johnson to Saints for
Ramius replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ummm, JP was drafted in 2004, and Sullivan was in 2003. I'm sure sullivan has been given more than 8 games to prove himself. AND... But, but, but, but, i thought high first round linemen were the key to success?!?
