  1. Meazza would be all over that.
  2. i think the reason for the US sucking at soccer is because we dont have any single name players. All of our rosters have players with a first and last name. If we had a single name player like pele or rohnaldino, we'd probably win more.
  3. agreed. their paintball "league" is nothing like what we used ot play. They go out and stand by inflatable barriers and fire off thousands of rounds in a few minutes, hoping to hit someone or something. When we played in the woods behind the house, we had teams of 4 or 5 in a few hundred yards of woods. we used skill and actually strategized on the best way to get their flag, and took our time. Also, mostly due to the insane cost of paintballs, we limited everyone to usually 25-30 paintballs per round. this way, you had to make sure your shot counted, and you worked to get a good one, and didnt just strafe and hope like these guys do.
  4. and no one said... "its !@#$ing budweiser, what the hell do you expect?"
  5. link isnt working, but try this... Ben R replica helmet make sure to read the questions to the seller.
  6. call me a tard too...altho i tend to do a lot of reading anyways. just finished 1776.
  7. I agree Nance is caught in a numbers game, but hes got a shot seeing his size, and i think the bills will keep 6 WR's. Hell, we kept 7 on the roster last year. I dont see andre davis making the team, and i think fast freddie is gone with roscoe back there returning punts. I wouldnt mind seeing nance on the PS, but the problem with putting nance on the practice squad is that any team can sign him to their active roster at any time during the season. I guess it comes down to what he shows in camp.
  8. so i get back from work and i am flipping channels yesterday, and i come across ESPN2. Whats on TV? Dominoes. Fugging Dominoes. ESPN was televising a fugging dominoes match. I almost threw up right there. The damn network acts liek hockey doesnt exist, and they are televising DOMINOES!
  9. well, our softball umps wouldnt hear it so bad down hear if they'd stop calling us lefties out for "stepping on the plate" after a hit when no such thing happend. Note to umpires. Lefties dont need to cross home plate on their way to 1st base, thereby eliminating the chances of them stepping on the plate. I have umped before tho, and you are right, some people need to lighten up.
  10. No way Chad. With injury concerns with palmer, and the fact that in any given week, Housh will outscore chad, chad isnt worth it. stay away from alexander as well, with the madden curse. I'd go LJ.
  11. Hes taken care of the DUI. a domestic abuse probably puts him top 5, and an attempted murder makes him the #1 overall pick.
  12. makes too much sense. its also not cost effective as they'd need to re-outfit every single soccer clock with a stop button.
  13. Redick arrested? His draft value just shot through the roof.
  14. give us the link to the ebay auction and we can bump up the bids on your tickets so the caro-whine-a fans get it stuck to them even more.
  15. Someone please explain this to me. A hurricane WARNING means that hurricane conditions are going to appear in the next 24 hrs. A watch means that hurricane conditions MAY appear in the next 24 hrs. So why on the weather channel did they say about the fla coast..."they are under hurricane WARNING in case alberto strengthens to a hurricane sometime soon." shouldnt that be a watch? the weather channel has gone serious overkill on this storm for a little bit of rain and some flooding.
  16. He's here now. Has been raining at a good clip all evening, but just in the past 15 minutes it really started to pound down. i dont tihnk it'll be bad enough to close work tomorrow tho.
  17. I agree. i had seeh hundred of NFL'ers or NHL'ers tear an ACL, or blow out a knee or ankle, and all they do is grab it. The kitty on the czech republic today looked like he got his leg caught in a combine with the way he was rolling and then thrashing around. Then he was STANDING on the sidelines during the 2nd half. soccer players are whiny pussies.
  18. missed the smilies I'm not trying to ballwash willis. I wasnt exactly pleased that he missed OTA's, but i just hate the willis bashing.
  19. had to be TD...the whole pittsburgh thing gave it away. he must have been pissed that they took big ben before we could, and then won a SB with him. revenge is a B word.
  20. couldnt have been. if the play started on the 5, stamer would have had to been at the 3 to deflect holcomb's pass away from its intended receiver.
  21. Willisbad! keep reaching for willis bashing commens blue. But you did do a good job of taking something completely out of context and twisting it to fit your willis-hating arguement. Read the article, and it talks about how willis feels he was mis-used last season. His not talking to fairchild means that he's not going to whine to fairchild to keep him in there on 3rd downs. He means that he assumes fairchild is smart enough to keep him in the game during those situations, and not be a complete retard like mularkey.
  22. Yes, because appearing on NFL total access obviously occupied his entire offseason. It probably took them months to film that segment, so obviously willis had no OTHER time to work out or go over the playbook or anything. Willisbad!
  23. agreed. But as a broke graduate student, a hi-def 60" screen was just a tad too much for me and my budget. So i settled for the 24" tube TV. As for our backers, we have a split demographic. Half of us are 20-somethings, in school, or not too far removed from school, and the other half is the 45+ crowd. What i miss the most was sittin in front of the TV on sunday afternoons with my dad or uncles/cousins and friends to watch the game. It may sound kinda strange, but the toughest times for me in the little over a year my dad has been gone, outside of holidays, have been sunday after bills games. I watched with him since i started watching the bills week in and week out in 1988 (i was 7). Then when i went to school in '99, i would call him every sunday after the game to talk about it. Man, do i miss that a lot . Its funny, how the last game i watched with him was just me and him in his hospital room. No wings and beer, just some apple juice boxes and some small bags of chips he swiped form the nurses station when they werent looking. Fittingly, that last game was in december of 2004, when the Bills won in Miami. I guess i cant argue too much with that as an end.
  24. I wasnt congradulating him. i am sick of everyone trashing him and wanting him gone because he skipped a few voluntary camps and has a couple of kids out of wedlock. He has yet to commit a crime, so what he does off the field is his own business. As long as he shows up when hes SUPPOSED to and he's in shape and ready to go thats what matters. As long as he gives 100% on sunday afternoon, i could care less what else he does. As someone else stated, its not he doesnt have a playbook or isnt working out or anything.
  25. He's coming for us up here. Almost a hurricane now. wont be terribly strong, but i still need to get some water and extra batteries tonite when i get home from work. with any luck, work will be closed tomorrow! The storm is funny tho. the worst part of the storm is a significant distance away from the storm center. that part will probably be here sometime overnight tonite, even tho the center wont be here for another day or so. Bring your sh-- on alberto!
