Yup. i see no reason why we cant extend Evans, Peters, and Crowell within the next calendar year. Lots of other teams extend their young stars. However, if we fail to re-sign Lee, i am going to have a real problem with the front office in a hurry. -

Yup, i do too understand why clements was let go, and from time to time, you are going to have ot let a relatively big name or good player walk, for the betterment of the team. However, the new front office better not make it a habit of letting young talent walk. -

1. I dont think dockery and walker are overpaid. If they are, perhaps they are slightly, but not as much as people make it out to be. Dockery was widely regarded as a very good young, up and coming guard. The Bills were smart to not let him leave buffalo without a contract. Dockery would have gotten a similar contract somewhere else. And i'd rather have dockery on the Bills for his current contract than have dockery somewhere else for $5 million cheaper. As for walker, he's another young up and coming player. Look at what tackles are getting paid. Walkers 5 for 25 contract isnt too far off from where his talent level is. 2. As for letting the CBs walk, theres just 2 comments. We dont know how this new bills front office will deal with re-signings in the future. As for McKelvin, we'll have to wait 5 years to find out. Who knows what the team (or NFL) will look like then, so speculation is pointless. I'd rather have him stay here, but I can see certain situations where its acceptable to let McKelvin walk if it comes to that. -
its a joke. Mainly, it pokes fun at the overreacting crowd such as yourself.

Agreed. I am not sure why they are against spending picks along the OL in rounds 2-4, where the best value can be found. -
Tyke Tolbert is probably shitting his pants if Hardy decides to lead the "ambush" on his birthday.

I'd like to chat too. I dont think it matters what the position, you need to re-sign your top picks. To me, drafting any position in round 1 and not re-signing them is not the way to do business. However, i DO understand why the Bills have done what they do with CBs. CB is one of the easiest positions to get an instant impact player. Also, the Bills F.O. has shown a remarkable talent for drafting very good CBs. Now, these CBs become very good, and command top dollar on the market. What the Bills have been doing is not breaking the bank on CBs in FA, because they know they can get a cheap replacement via the draft. Think about it. Whats better, to pay a FA CB 60 million? or to pay a rookie 20 million and not have much difference in skill level. I'd rather see them pay the rookie and spend the FA bucks on other positions than spend huge bucks on a FA CB. Basically, i'd rather have dockery, walker and mckelvin than clements and a jeff otah, etc. What we havent seen yet is how the new F.O. will deal with re-signings of their drafted players. We are starting to get to the time where a bunch of young players will need new deals in the next few years, and how they handle those situations will say a lot of how they are planning running the team. If i see them keeping most of the top players, and only letting a select few go (like the CBs), i'll be ok with that. If they start letting most of the top players go, i'm going to have a real problem. -

I just love Bill's inconsistencies. We give up a 3rd rounder in 2006 - bad horrible draft, marv is senile. We give up a 3rd rounder in 2007 - great draft! So giving up a 3rd rounder isnt ok when we use a high pick on a DB, but it ok when we use a high pick on some other position. We draft our current starting FS in the 4th round of 2006 - bad horrible draft, marv is senile. We spend a 4th rounder in a backup RB who may not even make this year's roster in 2007 - great draft! So drafting a starter in the 4th rounder is bad, and makes the 2006 draft garbage because said stater is a DB, but drafting a player in the 4th round thay may get cut the following year is part of a good draft? We draft Donte Whitner - Marv is a drolling senile idiot That same draft, marv says "we could have traded down." - All of a sudden Marv is a great man of truth So is Marv a senile idiot, or a great man of truth? I hafta admit, these OL chubby chasers make it simple on themselves for draft analysis, regardless of the talent of the player. Draft an OL - great draft, great FO! (except mike williams, they all knew he was going to be a bust). Draft a DB - boooo, horrible draft, FO is senile. -
Vince young a good QB? Please. He's a hell of an athlete who happens to line up under center and throw the occasional pass from time to time (of which many do not actually wind up near the intended WR), but he's hardly a QB. The guy is one of the worst passers in the league. The book is the same on young as it was on a young vick. he'll win some games with his legs, but when push comes to shove, the team isnt going anywhere with him behind the helm. Unless you are happy with 9 TDs and 17 INTs.

Way to go, editing department! Does this mean that most of Bell held its own? Like his left leg, torso, and both arms held their own, but his right leg and neck lagged behind? -

Thank you, but when i go to the beach, i'd rather NOT stare at a dozen drill platforms sitting right off of the gulf coast. theres plenty of drilling in the gulf...just not immediately offshore. i'm not sure what the mileage limit is. -
True, but the words "you can put it wherever you want" can be very tempting.

Schobel got his extension because they paid typical market value for a 10+ sack a season DE, and they wanted him around for a long time. Look at the deals freeney and kearney and other DEs got. Schobel's is right in line. they didnt "have" to do it based off of kelsay's contract. Schobel still would have gotten his extension whether or not we re-signed kelsay.

good. so the smartcar can handle 1 impact. but judging by those videos, what happens when the smartcar becomes the ball in a game of freeway pinball after the first wreck?

Why doesnt that candy ass donovan play in the eurotrash leagues? You'd think he would after the way he got embarassed in the 06 cup. Or is he just a giant vag that is content on beating up lower competition?

I'm actually a bit shocked that Jerry Gray isnt in Jacksonville yet. -
There a huge difference among situations. If we re-sign Lee Evans to a long term deal, he'll be a deservedly top paid WR. He'll have no leverage to hold out. With Peters, his contract was for an up and coming RT with potential. In the past 2 years, he has developed into a pro-bowl LT. Thats why he wants and deserves to be paid. If the Bills dont want to pay peters, i can easily name 31 other teams that would. What other players do you think would hold out and demand more money? When your young players get better, as we all want them to, then will need to be paid more money to keep them around. Most other teams have no problem with handing big contracts out to good young players, so why should the Bills.

The accident would have to have been caused by a drunk celeb on their way to rehab after breaking up with their american idol contestant ex-lover.
