  1. You only franchise Jabari Greer if you are intent on having him be a Bill next year at a 10 million dollar salary. Because as soon as he signs that tag you're stuck with him at that salary. You cannot simply franchise tag a decent player with the intention of trading him.
  2. You do realize that Nick Mangold and Sampson Satele both weigh in at 300 lbs, dont you?
  3. There are people under 50 actually counting on social security?
  4. Merry Christmas everyone. Notice one thing. How many threads are there on Allen Wilson articles, or Mark Gaughan articles? 1 maybe 2? How many threads does Jerry run up? Thats why he's employed.
  5. Not really. I surf the web and post here while i'm on the can all the time. Maybe i'm on the can right now.
  6. Ralph cries poor, yet for some reason, he refuses to sink any of the 78 million from toronto into the team. Ralph is the guy who sits there and collects his welfare check and then bitches about being poor instead of going out and getting a job.
  7. Everette has been a terror for us this year. 12.5 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss. You're dead on that the guy goes whistle to whistle and just makes plays. He's been doing this for the past 2-3 years now. He's listed as a "tweener" but at 252, he weighs more than our DE's. I think he's got the versatility to play OLB in a 3-4 (which seems to be what FSU DEs traditionally do) as well as tack on 15-20 lbs and play as a 4-3 DE. Rich, i know you've been down on Poz's play for a while now, but do you think he'd be better suited in a traditional 4-3 as opposed to the tampa-2?
  8. Funny how you never gave the previous QB this exact same benefit of the doubt. Seems he was "groomed" under this same rudderless ship without a captain, no?
  9. Cassel is going to be a 40-50 million dollar mistake this offseason.
  10. Quick question. Who was the QB under center making the mistakes during those other two games that were lost due to "turnovers" ?
  11. Thats right. Stroud was going to only play 8 games this year because he'd be hurt. Another thing, does Jacksonville get extra draft equity for all the picks they traded away to select harvey?
  12. I think we'd be better off packaging that 2nd and 6th with a 2010 3rd rounder to trade for Manning and Wayne.
  13. Especially how we were told that Jax pulled a fast one on us by sending us stroud. How are they doing this season without him?
  14. Whats that line about opening up your mouth and removing all doubt?
  15. I know its from Billszone, but here's an article about how the team was in a salary cap mess during 12/2000 and 1/2001. http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ary_cap_odyssey. And there's this... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/.../preview/bills/ And there's this artice... http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/bills/2...-washington.htm I'm not sure where you're getting your info about TD "not having to make all the cuts" from. I thought it was widely known and agreed upon that the Bills were 15-20 million OVER the salary cap when TD took over prior to the 2001 season. He made the cuts he did so we'd only have 1 bad year instead of 2. We had no choice but to cut a ton of players when he first got here. Smartly, TD took most/all of the cap hit in 2001 so we could start fresh in 2002. I don't know where you are getting your info from, but plain and simply put, its wrong. There's NO POSSIBLE WAY we could have kept the roster intact going into 2001. Plus, in 2002, we were able to be competitive by signing players such as fletcher, etc.
  16. 1. Steal underpants 2. ???? 3. Win Super Bowl in 2010
  17. Your post said that the salary cap "hell" we went through was Donahoe's own making, when in fact, it was that fat ass butler who screwed the team over. TD had limited choices given the lack of talent and the mess of a cap situation. Cap wise, TD handled things correctly.
  18. I wasn't comparing offers. Some team is going to foolishly toss 40-50 million his way. Losman will be backing up next year somewhere. Caserley even said in the article that Losman will be somewhere. He wont be an opening day starter, but in all likelihood, we'll see him starting some games somewhere next season due to injury or ineffectiveness, etc. If you honestly think he won't be in the NFL next season, you're letting personal hatreds get in the way of objective football analysis.
  19. The problem still remains with jauron. He'd decide that freeney's speed is too much for a DE and have him drop back into coverage of a RB.
  20. Yeah, but people get pissed because ND pads their win total against the service academies and local high schools. The win % of their opponents that they beat this season was like .100 To me, the most shocking thing was that ND was 6-6 and not ranked top 10.
  21. Dude, jauron deserves some slack. its hard to win in the NFL. I mean look at it realistically. 50% of the teams in the NFL lose every week. Those aren't very good odds, so you can't really fault the coach when the odds are stacked against him that much. I mean, we'd like to be 13-1, but we're 6-8 and we'll have to roll with the punches.
  22. Thankfully, most NFL front offices (the competent ones, ie- not buffalo) do not make decisions based on one game. The Jacksonville game did not "break" his career anymore than it would have "made" his career if he had performed well and won it.
  23. Yeah, because players can make less that the vet minimum.
  24. Interesting how JP carries the same grade as golden boy Matt Cassel. Could it be that some buffalo fans are letting personal negative opinions of JP Losman skew their view as to what really happened here?
  25. As far as i can tell, there was no official tie-in to the orange bowl until recently, but in the 80's and 90's, most of the orange bowls featured big 12 vs ACC/Big East (actually it was big 12 vs FSU/Miami)
